Christianity Christianity is the belief in God, Jesus, his son, and the Holy Spirit. Christians believe that God’s son, Jesus, was born from a virgin, died on a cross for the sins of the world and rose again after three days. They believe that God created everything from the water, to the air and sky, to animals, to humans, absolutely everything. Christians also believe in a place after death that reunites God and all his creation. Christians celebrate and learn about their religion in, what is called, a church. Their sacred texts are kept in a bible, which have lots of different ways of writing, such as, King James Version, New Revised Standard Version, New international Version, etc. The Bible has two parts or the book, The Old Testament and The New Testament and within those two parts are a plethora of books. About 66 to be exact. Church usually takes place on Sunday, which is the most “holy” day of the week. This derives from their belief that God took seven days to create the world, but he rested on the seventh. Sunday is their day of rest and learning about their God and the teachings of his son. …show more content…

For example, in the book of Genesis, God brings a flood because there is so much murder and hate in the world that he decided to wipe it out and called on a man named Noah to build an ark, put every animal living on it, and sail. After everything's said and done, God creates a rainbow to show that it will never happen again. Another big symbol is anything bad in the world or just bad things happening in general.
