Someone that I admire a lot is Meredith Grey. She is a surgeon on one of my favourite shows, Grey’s Anatomy. I really look up to her for everything that she stands for and her strength in everything that she does. It’s important to find people that are really aspiring and this character really inspires me. Even though Meredith is a fictional character, her values and her characteristics are very realistic and, in my opinion, many can relate to her. If I have the choice to be anyone for a day or a month, it would be Meredith Grey.
Meredith Grey, a surgeon, has mid-length blonde hair and light blue eyes. In certain seasons in the show, she has short bangs across her forehead. She’s average height and weight. Whenever she smiles, she has

She’s a general surgeon, which means she can perform surgeries all over the human body. I am slightly interested in the medical field and Meredith inspires me to pursue that career choice. The way Meredith cared for one of her patients, who was a 40 year old woman, with a rare cancer in her stomach , and how she let the woman’s elementary school students come into her room, was very kind of her. Also, Meredith tried her hardest to save a man’s life by growing him a new lung in a lab, even though it could have cost her her job. I admire Meredith’s bravery because amidst a shooting at the hospital, she took care of her hurt friends and, even watched her husband, Derek, get shot. Another time, there was a fire nearby the ocean, and Meredith dove into the freezing water to save a little girl, almost dying in the process. Meredith’s strength is remarkable after all the terrible things that have happened in her life , like her mother dying, the hospital shooting, a plane crash that took her sister’s life, the death of her friend George, and her husband’s shocking car crash that resulted in his death. She carries on while raising two children and saving people’s lives everyday. What I really admire about her is that you can see her struggle and the way she deals with the pain. Thats what makes her such a realistic character because she isn't some super hero. The
For a child, this usually means their family, school, daycare, and neighborhood. Meredith Grey's microsystem remains virtually the same from childhood to adulthood. During her childhood, Meredith spent as much time at her mother's place of work, Seattle Grace Hospital, as she did with her parents. As an adult, Meredith works in the same hospital and spends just as much time there, if not more, as she does at home. On a day-to-day basis, Meredith interacts with many of the same people she interacted with daily as a child. These people include her mother, Richard Webber, Meredith's current Chief of Surgery who was her mother's friend, and even nurses, doctors, and other staff members who worked directly alongside her
If you watch anything on ABC, you might know of a show called “Greys Anatomy”. A medical drama show that contains mind-blowing procedures and heart wrenching life scenarios. In the show, surgeries and surgeons are obviously the focus because... well, it is more fascinating to watch. Even though the show captures the excitement and difficulty of being a surgeon, there is a certain group of people who have a job twice as strenuous and are hardly shown. That group is the nurses. Although the hard working caregivers are not shown, the producer, Shonda Rhymes, dedicated a whole episode to the hard working nurses around the nation.
The person that inspires me is my teachers, I'm inspired by many of my 6th grade teachers like my math teacher, my science teacher, etc. My parents and my teachers help me so much through my problems, and such good rule models. Hopefully, I can be like them when I grow up, so I can be an inspiration to someone else one day.
The person that I have great admiration for is my mother. She has such a great quality of love, forgiveness, sincerity, helping others in need, and has a great outlook in life without being so negative. 2.
The fictional character I relate to the most is Meredith Grey from Grey’s Anatomy. She does the best that she can to do the right thing in difficult situations and she has trouble connecting with people. Although I am not a world renowned surgeon, yet, I feel her personality fits with mine the best. I sometimes find it hard to relate to the people around me and have a deep personal connection with them. Throughout the show Meredith normally attaches to one or two people to rely on, we are similar in that way, I find it hard to trust a lot of people and it takes a long time for me to feel comfortable enough to open up to them. Meredith also almost always tries her hardest to do the right thing, sometimes it does not end up the way it was supposed
My hero, Kurt Swaton, he inspires me to give it my best and good things will happen to those who do their best. Kurt is not just a great runner or a great student, but he is a great person too, Kurt is an outstanding brother to me and a excellent friend to all of the people he knows. I can just see kurt at the start line of the regionals race, down in Indiana right before the gun goes off, you get that feeling that all the hard work and all the miles he has put into this race will pay off today and great things will
People have others that they admire like a friend, teacher, coach, or family member. The people they look up to are very important and help influence them in their lives. One influential person in my life is Jim Dunman because he is hard working, respected, and talented.
Neil Degrasse Tyson, astrophysicist, writer, and television personality. I find him quite the idol and we would have an amazing conversation. Mr. Tyson, inspires me through his ethnicity and background, character, and accomplishments. It is clear he should be a role model for young black men such as myself.
Journal Entry #1 - If I was Meredith at the point in Chapter 1, I would have told my mom that I did not feel comfortable around my dad. Since he has been charged with child molestation. Why is it that Sharon forces her dad back into her life? On (Pg.17)Meredith expresses her feelings “… and turn to leave because my father and I are not supposed to be alone together, and we all know it.” I predict that they are not going to get along throughout the book.
The person that I admire the most would be Tianna Bartoletta from Elyria, Ohio. Tianna has numerous of world championships and Olympic medals. Tianna's main events in track and field are the long jump and the 100m. The reason why I admire Tianna the most is because I can see myself in her. She is an ambitious, extroverted, gregarious, intelligent and industrious person. When Tianna first started track and field she knew the effort that she was putting in would not get her anywhere unless she was putting her all into practice, which made her change a few things in life. Tianna knows what she wants in life and do not allow anything to bring her down. After Tianna recovered from an ankle injury in the long jump, she did not give up and she did
Ricki Hubbard, she is my best friend, we have been friends for about 4 years now. When we first met we were the youngest people on the cheer team and we weren't close but we were friends, and over the years we are supper close. I admire a lot of things about her but when I think Ricki, I think always happy, always smiling. Ricki is one of the most creative and crafty people I know she is like my personal DIY craft website. I could go on and on about things I love about her but I love that she is always in a happy and good mood and when I'm in a bad mood she always finds a way to make me smile and make me in a better mood. I admire how she pushes through things and gets through things no matter how hard it is or how much pain she is in. Almost
When I was little, I wanted to be, or even be the daughter of, a movie star. Just like every little girl wants to be. I wanted to wear upscale clothes, have all the money in the world, travel all over the planet, and own excessive houses. That’s basically the life Grace has in Grace Happens, by Jan M. Czech. Her mom, Constance Meredith, is a movie star. Grace just wants a standard life. She needs some answers to her questions, like “Who is her father?” and “What was her mom’s childhood like?”. While she is in Martha’s Vineyard, she wanted to find a real friend and find out who her dad is. Grace has the determination and bravery to do just that.
I look up to people who are not afraid to stand up for what they believe and speak their mind no matter what others have to say, People who chase their dreams and don’t let anything or anyone get in there way, and people who don’t give up or change their mind when it gets too hard. I believe if you really set your mind to something you can achieve anything because nothing can
Grey’s Anatomy has a realistic feel. The series indicates actual circumstances. For instance the main setting takes place in a hospital were surgeons spend the majority of their time. Throughout all thirteen seasons you are watching doctors treat and diagnose patients. Doctors are going through the steps of running tests, coming up with treatments plans and performing all kinds of surgeries from an Appendectomy to a heart transplant. The television series shows when running tests or the doctors common knowledge with medicine doesn’t seem to work or treat the patient properly they research the symptom’s, the causes, and why something would work for one patient and not another then they find the best way to treat each patient just as you would see or experience if you were an actual patient being seen in your town hospital. The viewer can get a sense of what it takes to become a surgeon. Starting fresh out of medical
Over time, there have been several people who have influenced various aspects of my life, based on their personal characteristics, accomplishments, and values. I have been privileged to have had numerous teachers and professors who I respect for their patience and intelligence. There are artists that have inspired me by their natural talents and original creativity. I value many political leaders, who have inspired me by their contributions to society, and their ability to change our futures. Of all the people I have encountered in my life, the person I admire most is my father.
