The Mesoamerican ball game began over 3,500 years ago. Ceremonies, city and daily life revolved around this exciting sport. The survival of the both the players and the spectators depended on the outcome of the game. The Mesoamerican ball game had a court to play on, a ball that was used during the game, uniforms that the players wore, and rules to follow during gameplay. Even though the Mesoamerican ball game was the first sport, it was a very advanced sport with how many different ideas went into the creation of the game. The ball game was found all over Latin America including in the Olmec, Toltec, Maya and Aztec civilizations with the Olmecs believed to be the inventors of the game. The Mesoamerican ball game was not just an exciting and dangerous sport; it was a winner takes all competition. The ball game was a game of life or death.

One day me my mom and dad and sister we were driving to my aunt and uncle's house.It was about 3:00 and me and my cousins we were playing football.And my mom and my auntie they were making dinner.And my dad and uncle were watching a baseball game.And then it was time to eat.

This is the time i had gotten lost at walmart my mom had went to the bathroom and i had went off to look at the games and my mom had went to the front of the store and looked u there for me. And as i went u to the front she had went to the back to find me she looked for me for about 30 minutes. I had no phone to call her and so i had finally went up to te here to the front and told them that i had lost my mom and they went over the intercom.

So I ran downstairs to her small room. I said, “What do you have to tell me it better be good because I stopped my favorite song just to come down here”. My mom said, “were going to the carnival so get ready!” so I ran all the way back upstairs and got dressed and ran back downstairs to the bathroom to finish getting ready.

I put on a pair of jeans and walk downstairs into the dining room, there was a plate with frijoles, chorizo and tortillas waiting for me. My grandmother brings me my favorite drink, homemade chocolate milk. I sit down and across from me is my cousin Lesly. She was bored, she always was.

The Maya are an ancient civilization built from an indigenous culture and people that originated in the area that lies in between Mexico and South America called Mesoamerica (Middle America). The Mesoamerican area also included other cultures, such as the Mexica (Aztecs), Mixtec, Purepecha, Huastec, Olmac, Toltec, Zapotec, and Teotihuacan.
