Tom’s POV: Mianite had been talking for weeks about someone new arriving, but he wouldn’t tell us who. Tucker, Sonja, and I had taken turns waiting for the newcomer; and I had been stuck with the night shifts. I shifted on the rock as another wave hit the beach below me. I sighed and lied down on the rock; it was wet from the larger waves. There was no one coming, Mianite had lied to us. I was about to leave when I heard someone moan below me. I figured it was just Tucker or Sonja pranking me, “Go away Tucker, aren’t you two supposed to be banging each other?” “Who’s Tucker?” An unfamiliar voice asked.
