Military has its own culture. It shows the best and the worst of military life. To understand that very thing in the military is different from regular life outside the military. It has been proving that the military culture is one of the strongest bonds between people. Trying to put into words that military culture is one of the hardest things to write about. The military is like a big family because the ranking system is like stages of life. The higher the rank is the more knowledge of the culture. The lower ranks are like the young people that just joined who don’t know about the culture. Through the years and starting out the cohesion with people from different cultures forms a big family. The military is like having brothers and sisters who care about you and would also have your back when you need it. To understand more about uniformity, conformity, anonymity, orderliness. The uniformity means the quality or state of being uniform. The one thing I would …show more content…
To figure out problems and to solve the physical and mental issues. They should figure out how they could help their brother/sister needs. When you are put in a team to do room clearance and go on the mission. To understand that team work is very big in the military because it is like having a clock, if you are trying to do your own thing the clock doesn’t work. For an example: Mondays, I could remember doing my checks on the vehicles that I was a signed to and go over them with the crew of the machine. I had good report with one of the crews and they would always come back to me even though I wasn’t part of their team anymore because the higher ranks moved me to a different battery line. It goes to show you that team work is very important in the military culture. The quote below is a very good example of team work, it has to do with the 4 Navy seals that had to fight to survive and they did it as a team but it ended up only one
John F. Kennedy once said, '' Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country." On the other hand, ''the draft whether for military purpose or some form of national service, violates the basic moral principles of individual liberty upon which this country was found ''(Paul). As you can see the topic can be opinionated in different ways of preservatives so that's why this research paper will help you explore the history, controversial aspect, people involved, possible solutions, and a conclusion for the military draft.

November 10, 1775, is revered as being the Marine Corps birthday, and its birthplace being at Tun Tavern, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Continental Congress met at Tun Tavern, to establish two battalions of Continental Marines, under the command of Cpt. Samuel Nicholas, as an amphibious fighting force who would later in March of 1776, participate in their first foreign raid, in the Bahamas (www.globalsecurity.org ). After the Treaty of Paris

Every day, there are American citizens who risk their lives for the sake of their country's safety. Men and women who believe that justice, peace, and equality should be served. However, within their beliefs, some choose to exclude transgender individuals who have the same rights and freedoms. The American society considers the world to be progressively changing and growing, however, seem to forget that in order for the military to survive the 21st century, diversity is crucial. Although the medical costs may raise the overall healthcare median per year, transgender individuals should have the right to serve in the U.S. armed forces because any human being who meets the physical qualifications and has a willing attitude should have the right to serve.
Many people are concerned about the U.S. military because of how many risks come with joining it. However, the U.S. military also explains the benefits that one could receive. I did not want to go to college. Originally, I wanted to graduate highschool, and enlist into the Marine Corps at eighteen. That seemed to be the end goal in my life, and had been my dream for years. As my eighteenth birthday rolled around, and after many visits to Marine Recruiting Offices, I figured my life was set before me and everything was smooth sailing from there. I knew exactly what MO I wanted, how many years I would be in, and what I would do after the Corps. I decided I would get a Mechanical Engineering degree as soon as I had had enough of the adrenaline rush that came with the Marines. All of a sudden, everything changed. I recieved a call from a college wrestling coach, saying he wanted to discuss scholarships. Then I began to get looks from other coaches. I realized that maybe college was an option after all. So I began the process of applying,
According to Field Manual 6-22, “Military Bearing is defined as having or projecting a commanding presence and a professional image of authority”. The United States Army is structured on several values and principles that it upholds, among these are military bearing, discipline and respect.
Tim O’Brien got his inspiration from multiple instances of his time served in Vietnam. O’Brien was against the war like most of the people in the United States were at the time. He was a college student looking forward to a different future. Like many others, he received a draft noticed on June 17th, 1968. He felt he was “too good to go to war” and tried to get out of being drafted with no luck. This angered him greatly. He was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served in the 3rd Platoon, A CO. 5th Battalion, 46th Infantry, as a foot soldier. His tour of duty was from 1969 to 1970. The unit he was in deployed in with went to a part of Vietnam that they called “Pinkville”. His time in Vietnam gave him, along with others, many stories to tell.
We in the military have our own culture in how we view things while also being able to have our own views as the rest of the civilian population. Take art for instance, you can consider our training, and way of life including war an art versus picking a company to work and writing a resume for a particular job as an art; being able to express your way of life and speak out about certain topics versus our political way of life with a chain of command and the way we communicate up and down that chain versus a manager in a regular business and the way you can communicate with that manager you may only have to deal with ever and our global relations in being able to reach out to the world and trying to ensure we respect ways of life versus some companies not having to deal with global relations.
Imagine one day that foreign threats become such a problem to the security of our country that we couldn’t leave the house without fearing for the safety of yourself. Terrorism is a real issue that is growing every day and should be something that should be stopped and not encouraged Everyday countries are home to terrorist attacks and oppression. It’s up to us as a super power to protect these people. Why not beat the problem at its source instead of letting it spread out into other countries and hurting other innocent people. The U.S. should not end military operations overseas because many of the countries overseas harbor terrorists that want to take down our country, they don’t have a strong form of government that is reliable and useable, and the people in those countries can’t defend themselves from the enemy regimes without our help.
For most people, their job is what they do; it does not so deeply define who they are. For families, military life offers a sense of community with clearly defined rules and expectations. Members of the military and their families share a unique bond and value system. The military offers a sense of community and camaraderie unlike any other profession. But it also fosters a warrior ethos that rewards physical and emotional prowess and frowns upon weakness and timidity.
Over the course of last 100 years, the United States has been involved in over ten military conflicts. With each and every conflict SIGINT collection and analysis has grown and matured. Of all the SIGINT platforms no platform has had a more far reaching impact on the battle field then Prophet Spiral version 1 Collection system. From the Prophet Spiral 1 to the newly fielded Prophet Enhanced, the prophet system has allowed commanders real time access to valuable SIGINT intelligence and Electronic Warfare unlike any time in history.
The word discipline comes from the Latin word disciplīna which means "to instruct". Discipline is a specific form of instruction which develops self-control, character, and efficiency.
It is necessary for military professionals to take the time to study military history, for it aids in not only their personal success but also in the success of the mission at hand. When one understands past failures and the causes, they are able to better wage what necessary actions must be taken to achieve success. Also knowledge is power. The more information a NCO has, the greater ability he has to make decisions which will allow him and his team to operate in a more safe and effective manner. By combining past success and failures with personal experiences, a NCO is better equipped for quick and effective decision making.
