One of the biggest influences in my life is my family's military service. There are tons of reasons for people wanting to serve our country. Patriotism, health benefits, free college, Or just for the challenge. I can say I enlisted for all of these reasons. One month ago, I made the decision to enlist in the Marine Corps as a parachute rigger and signed an Eight Year active duty contract. I started the process of enlisting almost a year ago by getting in touch with military recruiters. After taking the PICAT military aptitude exam I scored a seventy-five with great line scores; which means that every Military occupational specialty is available two be besides Nuclear Security and Airman. Since enlisting I attend weekly meetings and workouts
The position of president is the highest office in the nation. Many people believe in order to be president the person filling the office should have military experience. Since the 1992 the candidate that has won has had no military experience but prior to this year the majority of presidents had military experience. The public does not require their presidential candidates to have military experience and in the last few decades have elected presidents with no military experience despite the fact the country has been embroiled in the War on Terror. Presidents should be required to serve time in the military before running for this office.
My goal in life is to serve our country as a United States Naval Officer. Growing up in a family surrounded by military personnel has made an immense impact on my life and will allow me to understand what it takes to be one of our nations finest leaders. I have witnessed firsthand the dedication, hard work, and sacrifices made by my father while serving in the United States Air Force and I am eager to use the values that he has instilled in me since an early age. Although a tradition of military service is common in my family, it has never been an innate verdict for me to serve. Serving in the United States Navy (USN) is a personal choice and I recognize the responsibilities that come with commissioning as a Naval Officer. I trust the USN will provide exceptional training and career enhancing opportunities that will allow me to develop into a top-notch officer.
It is relatively easy to become a manufacturing technician after military service because most veterans are already trained with the skills needed for many manufacturing positions. The manufacturing industry continues to struggle to find skilled workers, so veteran with technical training will be able to find employment.
Using the materials you are studying in your text, describe the nature of the socialization (the process) you received, either at your present workplace, or the last place where you worked. Was that program effective? If it was effective, why was it? If it was not, why not?
“Woodstock Academy Girls Varsity Team”: A program that is more then banners, championships and awards, a program that is built on dedication, excellence and teamwork. Five years ago I found myself at the Bentley Athletic complex, intimidated by the talent that this program exuded. I remember vividly the first day of tryouts. I was 14 years old, I had come from a small private school so I did not know anyone in the school. My parents dropped me off waved good bye and said good luck! I walked slowly with a ball at my feet, water in my bag, and my head down over the table to hand in my paper work. Tryouts started a few minutes later and Amy Cross the head coach of the program at the time gathered all the girls around and introduced the senior class and talked about the expectations of this program. As a team we were required to attend every practice and game ready to work hard for 2 hours, respect towards our

I want to be a military officer so I continue to be a leader at different levels within our organization. A leader is defined in ADP 6-22 as, “An Army leader is anyone who by virtue of assumed role or assigned responsibility inspires and influences people to accomplish organizational goals. Army leaders motivate people both inside and outside the chain of command to pursue actions, focus thinking and shape decisions for the greater good of the organization.” I have taken much pride and joy in my career thus far in my ability to inspire and influence those around me, however, I feel as a military officer I can have an even greater impact on those with whom I serve alongside. Above all, I want to become an officer so I can continue to learn and develop my skills a soldier. Stepping out of my comfort zone as a Non-Commissioned Officer, and into a position of leadership as an officer will ensure I do not become stagnate and lackadaisical. This will allow for me to continue to provide the Army with the best possible soldier and leader that I can be.

In the Army Aviation Museum at Fort Rucker, a history of remarkable helicopters were hanging from the ceiling. Onlookers gathered across from a row of professional young men dressed in uniform. Aunt Misty and my nervous grandma fiddled with their programs in anticipation. So entranced by the gunships surrounding me, I hardly notice my two young cousins sitting right next to me. The onlookers were ready to burst with excitement as each young man, my uncle among them, was granted his wings, making him an official United States Army Aviator.
When we think of the Army we normally think about soldiers in combat. On the contrary the Army is predominately made up of support soldiers. The profession of arms according to the training and doctrine command Commanding General (2010) "is unique because of the lethality of our weapons and our operations. Soldiers are tasked to do many things besides combat operations, but ultimately the core purpose and reason for the Army exits is to apply lethal force" (p.2). As a human resource sergeant our role plays a significant part in the Army profession. We must work effectively in order to ensure that all soldiers are well taken care of. Our expertise and knowledge about certain entitlements, family care plans, promotions, and so much more helps us gain the trust of those Soldiers in the Army. Human resource sergeants provide these types of services which in turn helps promote morale and welfare within units, for example a Soldier is generally happy on the
Although mandatory military might seem like a good idea and may have some benefits it should not be put in effect. It would be a restriction of freedom to the people and American already has a system (the draft) that works just as well.
Some people dispute that the idea of all-volunteer army is a wise to freedom and the democracy in the country. No one obliged to serve in the army, but everyone has their rights and his/her vision to serve in the army or abstain. However, military service is a duty to youth in the country, liability of the nation, and unavailing to resign this responsibility. Otherwise, people with volunteer army may claimed that volunteer army enhance the army force and improved it due to the volunteers entered the army with full volition, so they work hardly and ascends the army. This point more reasoning, but in 2004 in the US army reported that 92 percent of the volunteers in the army are high school graduates who the idea of nationalism and awareness of
Now-a - days we can see that soldiers who are the hero’s and defenders of us, they are helpless when actually they need a help. They protect us by putting their own life in danger. Sometimes they have to past the days without eating but still they stand forward to protect us. Previously and even today the soldiers die due to sudden temperature change which affects the breathing and there are no backups or else if there, then it take too much of time to take the injured soldier to the hospital which may cause his death. And during war it is impossible to take him to the hospital .So we are working on project that can provide safety to the soldiers.
Most people consider entering the working world as a rite of passage, leaving the land of dependency and having a newfound sense of independence. For me, I viewed it as just something to do to fill the gaps between high school classes and extracurricular activities. My entrance into the workforce was a very nonchalant, unguided, carefree act of “maturity”. It wasn’t until four years later that I got an understanding of the true difference between a career and a job. The first week of becoming a soldier revealed my inner strengths and weakness and provided a clear picture of the person I wanted to become.
