I first became interested in psychology around the time I first entered community college in 2012. I found the subject very interesting and then in proceeded to take more classes for the required course and I only started to like it more. Your program of Ohio University interests me because it has a focus on research on ADHD which is one of the things I would like to focus on. Primarily the research of doctor Frances Wymbs who's focus is behavioral parent training programs for youths with ADHD and DBD.
Mr. Killingsworth discussed some of the recruitment strategies used by District 11 to recruit and hire a diverse group who are focused on student achievement, no matter what position they are hired for. His goal during recruitment is to find the candidates that fit the descriptions of what his principals need. Some of the recruitment strategies used by District 11 include: school websites, Facebook, and branding. Branding is use of the district logo so candidates know who they are when you see their logo. At job fairs his job is to meet, greet and brand. LinkedIn is one of the target groups District 11 uses for passive candidates. When marketing for a particular school Mr. Killingsworth reminds administrators to always shed a positive light on their school.
I am a current Florida International University fourth year student with the goal of graduating this summer 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. After graduating, I plan to continue studying in a Master’s Program at FIU named Counselor Education: Clinical Mental Health Counseling, to which I am currently applying. I am a volunteer at the Child Anxiety and Phobia Program in FIU’s Center for Children and Family, where I am a research assistant I am responsible for
Review Ch. 18 of Introduction to Psychology and the American Psychological Association website (www.apa.og) to review career possibilities for psychology majors.
Indiana University Southeast’s career opportunity ranges communications to psychology and business to nursing. When the students being interviewed expressed why they chose Indiana University Southeast, their many reasons were due to the fact that it's affordable, close to home, and most importantly, had their ideal career. Student, Quintera Quinn-- an English major and music mine--, stated in her interview, “It’s a good school with great academic programs, help services and students.” She remarks how IUS encourages her to follow her dreams and inspires her to be a productive and helpful member of society. John Billings, who is majoring in business with a concentration in marketing, made his college decision due to the reasons that it was close to home, affordable, and it was near his line of work for the company he wants to work at after college. Megan Johnson, who is majoring in Theater Business--for now--, exclaims she likes how there is such a wonderful sense of community and how she can strike up a conversation with anyone. Therefore, even before the students attended Indiana University Southeast, they were already accustomed to the brand of Indiana University Southeast-- Fulfilling the
If I had a ticket of any kind, to go anywhere, to do anything, and anything could happen, I would want it to be a bus ticket to take me straight to any marine corps recruiting office to enlist in the corps to serve my beloved country. Of course you’re probably thinking, What? Why this? All my life i’ve had everything great but my life is not yet complete, I haven't given anything back to the people or our country for making me the person I am today, but now I have finally found a way to give back.
Section 1: Introduction. The theme of my research paper is to determine what changes need to be made in order to improve that organization. The organization I will highlight is the Recruiting and Retention Battalion for the Army National Guard for the state of Georgia.

Based on the available positions, the targets for this recruiting campaign are candidates who are currently in high school, fresh out of high school and current college students. The reason for this, there is a large
At present I am enrolled at Appalachain State University to earn a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a concentration in the social sciences. In the sort term I plan to graduate with my Bachelors. In the long term I plan on entering the workforce for some time after graduation before I pursue a Gaduate program. During my time at AB-Tech and Apalachain State I have constantly gained experience in the field of psychology and other related fields.
Last week I attended the Kennesaw State University All-Majors Career Fair. This event took place in the Dr. Betty L. Siegel Student Recreation and Activities Center. I had several tables that I wanted to visit. However, there three recruiters that I received signatures from were Peace Corps, Kohl’s and Bright Horizon Family Solutions. I believe that each of these job opportunities could use a Psychology major. I say this because psychology can be applied to nearly every job.
After recently graduating from Fullerton College with two associate degrees in psychology, I could have not accomplished this goal all by myself without the proper guidance that I received from EOPS and FYSI at the time. These programs were established to support former foster youth at Fullerton College in their education as long as they met all the conditions for each semester. As a result, this was valuable for me during my time as a community college student, allowing me to guarantee that I would finish all my requirements on time to transfer to a good university, and becoming more involved with the campus each semester. That being said, this is one of the main reasons as to why I am applying to your program, so I could receive the support
In all probability, whether holding a license or not, as an aggressive advantage or at least a leveling the-playing-field, influence varies by field expertise and situation. On the reverse side of the continuum from not training for licensure, I/O programs desiring to be accommodating to graduates who desire or anticipate needing to be licensed. Programs that recognize the time frame and diligence needed before SIOP can impact the licensure process sufficiently to effectively include and embrace I/O psychology, can offer a decisive advantage on the licensing process by contemplating the licensing exams and requirements.
The strengths of UW-River Fall’s program offers many advantages such as The National Association of School Psychology (NASP) approval. The campus is a wonderful fit for me due to size and its community based school system. UW-River Falls values diversity, which I found very supportive and comforting. I picked MSUM, because it has the highest ratio of diversity of students in Minnesota’s universities. The integrity of the university to expect students to be open is important to me. I agree that learning is done best when the student is open-minded to new experiences. The faculty and staff of the university seem to be sensitive and responsive to their students since it’s expected of the students.
In addition, the employment process requires effective communication in terms of the messages to post via advertisements. This is because potential candidates will be attracted by the content of the messages displayed through the adverts. In light of the current technological advancements such as the Internet and social networks, human resource managers would want to utilize such channels to reach many potential candidates across the globe (Lugonja, 2011: 2). This calls for flexibility and willingness to invest in technology where adequate efforts have not been made. However, a multidimensional approach would work better since not all people can access the Internet. In a nutshell, the process of selection and recruitment involves looking for and motivating prospective employees to apply for available job posts. Being a negative process, selection entails scrutinizing the qualifications of candidates that have applied in order to choose only the best applicants for various jobs (Sharma, Khurana, & Khurana, 2009: 17).
