CHRISTIAN REFLECTIONS ON THE LEADERSHIP CHALLENGE PAPER
Reflections on Model the Way
Jesus is my leadership role model. The life of Christians includes the practice of forgiveness to love others unconditionally, as well as be forgiven by God. “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”(Luke 23:34) “And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins." (Mark 11:25) Jesus is also my role model as to how we pray. “But whenever you pray, go into your room and close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”(Matthew 6:6) Jesus carried out his life from the way of love, forgiveness, prayer and compassion and his teachings are evident

Fortunately, our God guided us to a good Korean church and we met a faithful pastor and nice people in there. Thanks to their love and care, we could have started to adapt to life in a totally different environment. I registered for a language class at a local academy. Little by little, despite the challenges of the language and cultural barriers, we began to adjust to life as foreigners. Although everything is going like clockwork, I felt something was missing in my heart. I fell to my knees and started praying to God to tell me what to do. Taking this opportunity, I attended prayer meeting regularly for Intercessory prayer and encourage other people to attend to this meeting. Therefore, our neighborhood prayer team became the great source for comfort and personal encouragement. And I attained a knowledge of how God is so pleased when we come to Him in union with other believers. We pray for ourselves, for our friends, for our neighbors for our God’s glory every
The bible teaches Christians to forgive in order to receive forgiveness. People often retaliate for wrongs suffered by not forgiving. However, researchers are discovering that not forgiveness can lead to health problems.
Servant leadership from a Christian perspective is a replica of what Jesus Christ symbolizes. Jesus was a servant because he showed truth, vision, humility, commitment, teacher to his followers, and brought about change; he was a suffering servant, yet was merciful, he was a teacher, yet willing to be taught by the Holy Spirit. “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
The purpose of this paper is to summarize Module 5 of the AOL program, specifically group 226, through the evaluation of a contemporary Christian leader. In this paper I will discuss the contemporary Christian leader I have selected, analyze their effectiveness in business performance, and discuss how they have inspired me. I will also talk about what I have learned from this module that most benefited me. My hope is that through this paper, my readers will have a broadened scope of Christianity in our contemporary world.
The process of leadership requires self-identification of behaviors and reflection on one’s attitude (Bell, 2010). Among the thousands of leadership books in print today, this book is one that takes a different approach to examining leadership from a Christian perspective as well as relating to the process of leadership along with many

Formative research approach would be the best evaluation approach to apply to my program for homeless youth to find housing transitional program. My program, Beacon Hill, would help homeless youth from ages 16-21 to find a job and stable housing. The youth would attend workshops to help them find jobs before securing permanent housing. By using formative research, we would be able to get research questions to help us with writing an action plan. This is relevant to our evaluation design so we can see whether or not the program is equipped to run. Formative research is about formulating actions to use for the action plan to be consistent and reliable. Questions that can be used for to help Beacon Hill figure out which form of learning would
Christ becomes an example to the Apostles when he tells the men not to send the multitude away to buy food, rather Christ decided to provide them food as a service to the multitude. I believe that the Savior shows the highest form of love by reaching out to serve people through physically and spiritually feeding them before he was able to take time to mourn for the loss of John the Baptist. Christ also teaches the importance of prayer and communication with our Heavenly Father when he takes time to pray alone. “He prepared Himself to teach by spending time alone in prayer and fasting. In daily, private moments, He sought His heavenly Father’s guidance.”
Jesus said he was “the way, the truth, the life” and that no one could come to the Father, except through him. Whatever request people made in his name would be glorified .For example, if someone wanted to ask something, it needed to be stated in his name. He taught people two of the greatest rules. The first one was intended for people to love God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength humanly possible. The second was to love their neighbors as much as they loved themselves.. These laws were the greatest for him since people could have love for those against them, and do good actions to those who hated them. Moreover, people could give blessings to those who gave them curses and pray for the ones who were cruel to them.Another important topic to discuss with him, could be faith. He taught us that with faith, nothing would be impossible. That a mountain could be moved from place to place if whatever one requested in his/her prayers was petitioned with faith.. Thus, Jesus made plenty of miracles, like giving a blind man sight, and paralytics/lepers a cure to their sickness. As a result of his teachings, this man could be considered a man to meet, learn and not
II. But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you (Matthew 5:6, NLT).
•“When you pray, you should say: Father, your name be revered. Your empire be established. Provide us with the bread we need day by day. Forgive our sins, since we too forgive everyone in debt to us. And don’t make us face the test.” (Luke 11:2-4)
Keep moving forward, keep creating, keep learning, keep discovering, and keep striving for knowledge that can benefit the world around you. The future of cell biology depends upon the expansion of new model systems and tools that can be applicable to a wide range of organisms. Recently, more nontraditional model systems are being sought due to the fact some questions simply cannot be answered using traditional model systems. This need for answers demands for the development of nontraditional model systems. One benefit of using nontraditional models was the breakthrough findings by Nobel Prize winner Liz Blackburn and Joe Gall on their telomere work on the ciliated protozoan Tetrahymena. If these researches had confined their research to more popular genetic model systems, and had not focused their attention
A Korean guy came into the prayer meeting late, and I could feel the power of the Holy Spirit wanted me to speak to Him about his attitude and things going on in his life, which the Holy Spirit revealed to me. I asked my interpreter to translate for me, but she refused because she stated this man was the Pastor’s son, and in Korean culture you do not rebuke someone who is in authority over you. He automatically was an authority figure due to him being the Pastor’s son. Well I insisted that she introduce me to him. So, she did, and then disappeared quickly. So, I was stuck standing there, trying to talk to Him about what the Holy Spirit spoke to me about Him. All of a sudden, I started to speak to Him fluently in German. Yes, I did take German in High School, but I was not the best student. Who would have known, that the Pastor’s son who was Korean was fluent in German. I was able to speak to Him about the Lord, and what the Lord put on my heart to share with him. He cried, and thanked me. After that we were brothers in the Lord and I was able to speak to him in English. The Holy Spirit allowed us to communicate with each other openly in our native languages. No one could understand how I was able to understand him when he spoke Korean, and how he could understand me when I spoke to him in English. This was a gift from the Holy
There are many people in scripture that God has placed in leadership roles. Jesus himself, David, Moses, Paul, Peter, Abraham and many others are some of those leaders. There are core attributes discussed in the lecture that personally reflect my opinion of what an effective leader of Christ needs such as, a shared vision, model of the way, empowerment of others, challenge of the process, and encouragement of the heart. Leaders establish a model of the way others should be treated and how goals should be pursued, with standards and examples of what others should follow by exemplifying God’s example. Christian leaders inspire a shared vision to make a difference
In the gospel of Matthew, the disciple portrays Jesus as compassionate. This portrayal of Jesus aids us in discovering who Jesus is, and in our application of this portrayal to our image of Christ. We can see this portrayal by His words, acts, and miracle works.
