The most appealing career field for me is professional, and to be exact the career I am most interested in is Mechanical Engineering. The reasons why I am interested in Mechanical engineering are that, I love to build things, design things, and piecing everything together to finish the ¨puzzle¨, and see the final product. But the three main reasons why the professional career field is appealing to me are enormous paychecks, many different types of work experiences, and it can help me make other lives easier and better.
The first reason why I find the professional career field appealing is the money. With most of the jobs in the professional career field can have a magnificent sized paycheck. This is very appealing to me because I want enough
After high school, students in the United States have various career choices to choose from. College is a place composed of numerous facets and activities, which offer a variety of avenues for the career-minded to explore, while offering growth and opportunities for advancement. A fine career choice for students to pursue in college in is marketing: planning, directing, and the coordination of marketing policies and programs.
The career, Speech Therapist, stood out to me because of the concept of helping someone overcome an issue that they may have had all of their life. By helping a person develop a common skill, you could be changing their life in a positive way. To actually hear the progress you have made through the person’s own mouth is something that would make you feel like you have a purpose and that is to help people make their lives better. The occupation of this career is to basically help people that either have a speech impediment or some type of disorder to communicate better and cope with social malfunctions they may have experienced in their life and will experience in the mere future. So
The areas of my industry that I find the most interesting are areas where I get to work directly with students in a supervisory/advisory capacity. I want to help student develop as professionals, members of society, and leaders. I could see myself as a director of Greek Life or Student Leadership. I know though that the journey in the student affairs field is likely very diverse and no two people follow the same path. So I am excited to see where I go.
The career i choose was a professional bass angler. It's a career i've been interested in for a while and i think it's what i would like to do. I love swimming and fishing and being out on the water so i thought it would be perfect. A professional bass angler travels the world fishing in tournaments to see who catches the biggest 5 fish. There are team tournaments and then there are solo, i would like to do both.
While everybody nowadays receives a good education, not all are taught to the highest standard. The education system, for a long time, has remained unadapted to modern life; this principle remains true. As part of the national wakeup call on America’s scrambled and varying education standards across the nation, Davis Guggenheim’s Waiting for Superman raises thoughtful consideration to the subject of educating youth. Throughout the film, Guggenheim utilizes the stories of children in poorer areas to appeal to the audience’s emotional side, or pathos. Effectively showcasing the lives of lower-income families and the disadvantages faced- like not getting into a school that efficiently teaches children and permits them to consequently receive an even higher education, potentially breaking the cycle of poverty- Guggenheim offers evidence based on the success rates of charter schools. Displaying the most successful charter schools, and the most prosperous students out of those, puts charter schools into the
The media portrayed Marilyn's lifestyle as the independent powerful successful woman. Her brief life was very busy she never really had time to step back and live her life. She lived a life to maintain her reputation as well and to impress the media. Marilyn life in general was controlled by so many outside factors, and not by herself. I believe she was exhausted of been such a public figure that everyone paid so much attention to her that she couldn't bare the pressure to me. She suffered depression, and at some point she got so frustrated with the way her life was leading and she couldn't reverse it and decided to take pills in excess to claim her own
When it comes to someone picking a career, this can be complicated and sometimes even complex. When someone has finally chosen a career field, this just means that thy have decided that they have finally figured out what it is that they want to do in their life. It also means that they figured out that this career is something that they love and see their self-doing for a while, and it will be able to provide them with a comfortable lifestyle. However, I would have to say that is not what happened for me. The career I had chosen was not something that I loved doing. It was something that allowed me to be able to provide for my son. My career at this moment is working in the United States Army, as a logistic specialist. I have been within
My top three careers of interest are a Nurse Anesthetists, Phycologist or an Interior Designer. While learning about all three of these careers I could see myself doing each of them. A Nurse anesthetist interests me because I have always known I like the medical field, but have struggled to decide whether I wanted to be a nurse or a doctor; with this career, i get to do something in the middle. I also like it because it is not as much schooling as a doctor but still has the great pay. I also was really interested in being a Psychologist, when reading about this job and the skill sets it needs I feel like it would be a very good fit for me. The last job I found interesting and thought would be a lot of fun was an Interior Designer. This caught my interest because I love using my creative side.
The profession that interests me the most is law enforcement. I chose law enforcement because I wanted to impact my community and I felt a need to work for something greater than myself. Based on the images provided by the set of slides I believe that each slide positively represented the profession. There were three different aspects of law enforcement depicted in the slides, the police officer, the corrections officer and the firefighter. The next slide showed a forensics technician and the final slide showed a police detective.
For example one career that fits my personality is a Family Physician. A Family Physician takes care of other people and helps them with their health. They are leaders that try to find if any member of the family is sick or has a deadly disease. They also interact with many people and have a warm heart towards their patients. Another job that best fits me is a Pediatrician. A Pediatrician takes care of babies when they are young and when they grow up. They also help diagnose children to see if they have any health problem. They provide them with a solution and or treatment. Both is these careers correspond to my personality because I like interacting with others and helping out
A career in business suits me because I am motivated, persistent, confident, and innovative. I have always had the passion for making a profit, but I never applied business as a career option. When I was a junior, I bought an old Schwinn bicycle for $10. I took the time to sand, prepare and paint the bike. Once the bicycle was all done, I sold it for $275. This caught my uncle's attention. My uncle, having an entrepreneurial background with his very own auto shop in Mexico, saw my talents and willingness to work. As an undecided junior not sure about college, he made it clear to me that business should be a possible profession. Reluctant at first, I took his advice and researched careers in business. I was surprised by the broad variety of career choices that a business
Since my career type involves Thinking and Building the engineering fields, it recommended appearing to match because they too involve building and critical thinking. Mechanical engineering focuses on applying Physics and Material Science to engineering. It's also one of the oldest Engineering fields practiced today. This matches my personality because I enjoy physics and love to research new materials. Civil Engineers focus on Design, Construction, and maintenance. The three topics are things I already do in smaller forms for school and my hobbies. Since I already design and build things, Civil and Mechanical Engineering are great matches to my personality. Mechanical engineering matches me best because the size of projects compared to Civil Engineering are smaller and would allow me to prototype projects. The employment opportunities in both fields are global since there is constant rebuilding. Both fields have entry-level wages of eighty thousand dollars. This all means after college a civil or mechanical engineer could find a job more and make eighty thousand dollars a year. Overall the careers are both needed and match my personality, meaning after college I would do things I
Based on the health careers workshop activity, my top three career choices were exercise science, health promotion and wellness, and nutrition. Exercise science is the study of human movement to maintain or to improve physical fitness. Some popular occupations in the exercise science field are a personal trainer, strength and conditioning coach, athletic trainer, occupational therapist, and physical therapist. If you are a physical therapist, occupational therapist, or an athletic trainer, you must go to graduate school to become qualified. If you are a personal trainer or strength and conditioning coach, you must become certified by taking an exam and then pass it. Exercise science would be a great fit for me because I enjoy working out and living a healthy lifestyle. While having a passion
Although I fully agree with chasing after a career one is passionate about, I also think one must make intelligent and informed decisions while chasing after his or her career. Especially, when the career being chased is one that does not pay well. One of these decisions would be taking the least expensive route to being
The career that intrigues me is elementary education, which is kindergarten through 8th grade. I am engrossed in this career because I have little siblings that I had to teach them things like reading, math, and writing properly. Also, I just love, love, love little kids and to watch them grow. My personality goes with this career because I am a very kind and considerate person and I like people. My values go with this career because I like having the defiance and the opportunity to do my work in new ways and with independence and diversity. Also, I like feat which is having the feeling that what I do in my work is crucial and making a contribution. Lastly I value my workplace and having the pleasure of working in a satisfying, attractive work space where the supervisors and co-workers are supportive and friendly. I expect that being a teacher at a school will have all these conditions. Kindergarten and elementary school teachers work in public or private schools. Seeing students develop new skills and learn information can be very rewarding.
