Muslims: The Six Major Beliefs

Christianity and Islam have some similarities in common. Both religions believe that God is the creator of all things and is powerful and all-knowing. Muslims also believe in angels and so do Christians. Angels are "a person who performs a mission of God or acts as if sent by God". Muslims and Christians both believe in Day of Judgment. After you pass, you will bow before the lord and he will determine whether you have followed or rejected his guidance. If you followed his guidance, you will be rewarded with paradise. If you rejected his guidance, you will be punished with hell.

Another major difference between Islam and Christianity is their Holy scriptures. Unlike Christians who read and obey the Holy Bible, Muslims have the Qur’an and teachings from Muhammad. The Qur’an states teachings and rules from God and the Hadith consists of teachings from Muhammad who is believed to be the last Holy messenger from God and is highly revered. While people from the

The founder of Islam was Muhammad and the deity of Islam is Allah. Their leader is called the caliph(Abu Bakr al- Baghdadi) and their holy book is the koran which talks about things like if warriors died in the name of Islam they would be in paradise in the afterlife. It also talks about human equality and that helped appeal many people to convert to Islam. The Muslims believe there is no God but God and his prophet in Muhammad, the Koran was the exact word of God as revealed to Muhammad, and Allah is the same God as the God of the Jews and the God of the Christians. Although it is quite difficult to name exactly all of the values and beliefs held by Muslims, there are six core Articles of Faith which are considered as the foundations of Islamic belief. The first is a belief in only one God, and one of gravest sins that Muslims consider is that of worshipping other Gods, or other beings alongside God. The second is a belief in angels, which are beings who work in the service of God to administer His kingdom. The Muslims also believe in prophets who were sent to every nation to bear witness that there is only one God. These prophets include Noah, Abraham, Jesus, and of course, Muhammad. The last belief is that there is a destiny and a Divine Decree, in which God has full and perfect knowledge of all things, and everything happens through his will (Ibrahim, 1997).

The biggest difference in Islam and Christianity is that Muslims don’t believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, which is the basic foundation of Christianity. Muslims believe that Jesus was a servant of God as well as a prophet. Muhammad is believed to be a prophet and a servant of God also; however, Muhammad is said to be the last prophet sent by God to guide humanity. On the contrary, Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God and is therefore viewed as God

Muslims for the most part believe that Islam brings together all religions in that all prophets are honored as messengers from the one true God, Allah. Islam in general considers itself to be a universal religion at its purest form. Allah is even seen as the all knowing creator of all things wordly and devine. Allahs creation is governed by devine set laws and that peace can only be found through the knowledge of and obeyence of these laws. Muslims believe that there needs to be complete surrender to Allah to prove their true belief. In Islam, all humans will be resurrected for a final judgement of their deeds and heaven awaits the faithful and hell awaits the infidel which are the unfaithful.

Both of them are monotheistic religions, and they believe in the same god, though they have different names. The name for God in Islam is Allah, and the name for God in Christianity is God. Christians also believe in the Holy Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Muslims believe that Jesus was only a prophet, not the Messiah (Son of God).

Muslims Islamic beliefs were one of the reasons it spread quickly, most of these beliefs come from the Qur'an, which is a book with writings that came from god(Allah) through the prophet Muhammad. Allah became catalyst to Arabia and changed the beliefs of their many gods which gave order to Muslims making order. The Qur'an helped give order to the Muslims by giving them expectations from Allah like 33:35, which states if you are believe in god he will “bestow forgiveness rich recompense.” then making them keep peace to one another unless somebody started attacking you then “God has power to grant them victory.”(verse 22:39). These new orders were a big revolutionary change which is why it spread so fast it was different when it came to order.
