In the Middle East, the top three monotheistic religions (worships one god) are Christianity, Islam and Judaism. Christianity is the religion that I was born into and believe in. It came to be in 0 AD and Islam came to be 622 AD (CE), Christianity and Islam have some similarities and differences. By the end of the essay, you will eventually understand the differences.

Christianity and Islam have some similarities in common. Both religions believe that God is the creator of all things and is powerful and all-knowing. Muslims also believe in angels and so do Christians. Angels are "a person who performs a mission of God or acts as if sent by God". Muslims and Christians both believe in Day of Judgment. After you pass, you will bow before the lord and he will determine whether you have followed or rejected his guidance. If you followed his guidance, you will be rewarded with paradise. A few of the Pillars that they believe in is Siyam. This involves fasting from dawn to sunset during the month of Ramadan each year. Christians on the other hand believe in fasting but fasting isn't a national holiday that we celebrate. Christians believe that fasting is a natural part of spiritual discipline. It aides believers in connecting and staying closer God. Another pillar that Muslims believe in that relates to Christianity is Salat. Salat is when you pray the obligatory prayers each day. Salat is relative to Christianity but there's no limit on praying. For example in 1st Thessalonians 5:17 in the Bible, it says "Pray without ceasing". Zakat is the last pillar I believe is relative to Christianity. Zakat is to pay a percentage of goods or money as obligatory charity each year. Zakat reminds me of Tithes.
