The print I chose is the Black-Bellied Darter because it reminds me of friends who are always together. Since I was a kid I have always had a best friend and this print teaches me how birds have friends too. When I was new to my old school I didn’t have my best friend so I felt alone but as time went on I learned to make new friends. My friends and family mean a lot to me and to birds they mean everything. The way I see it is that both of them are hunting together, similar to the way I spend time with my friends with activities my friends and I enjoy. These two birds seem like they have been sitting on the branch for hours, waiting for their meal. These birds are different than us on a friendship level because we have a choice of who are friends
People already know that rats are very disgusting creatures that live in sewers and eat trash. But these four articles introduced new insights to the problems that rats cause. Some of them include causing destructive infestations, horrible diseases that can harm or kill people and pets, and the danger of using pesticides to humans. The first reason and paragraph discusses what rat infestations are and why they occur, the second paragraph talks about the dangers to human society, and the third paragraph discusses the ways people are trying to rid their lives of rats.
When adolescents like Holden cannot find an “adolescence zone” in the real world, they would conjure one in imagination. A pivotal moment of the novel is in the midsection, which resonates with the meaning of the novels title. When his sister Phoebe asks what would make him happy, Holden describes to her an imagined picture, which is worth quoting at length:
“But I don’t want comfort. I want God, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want sin.” “In fact,” said Mustapha Mond, “you’re claiming the right to be unhappy.” “All right then,” said the Savage defiantly, “I’m claiming the right to be unhappy,” This significant quote from Brave New World had moved innumerable readers’ heart, so do I. Exaggeration? No. It’s the satire to the false meaning of the universal happiness, and it’s this quote which made me had rethink what do I really want and the way of living I want to choose. Because the deep influence and rumination brought by the book, I would like to say
Pg 379- “In Sugamo prison, as he was told of Wantanbe’s fate, all Louie saw was a lost person, a life now beyond redemption. HE felt something that he had never felt for his captor before. With a shiver of amazement, he realized that it was compassion.”
1) “They carried the soldier’s greatest fear, which was the fear of blushing. Men killed, and died, because they were embarrassed not to. It was what had brought them to the war in the first place, nothing positive, no dreams of glory or honor, just to avoid the blush of dishonor. They died so as not to die of embarrassment” (O’Brien 20).
1. I would put myself in the place of the man on the horse he looks like he could be the leader, so the leader.
The underworld seemed to be getting colder and I couldn’t tell if it was because I’d fled the room that was lit or because Hades’s heart had been nearly ripped out. I was weeping pretty hard by now, feeling awfully betrayed and as lonely as my injurer. I felt my way around in the darkness for a while, thankful to the slight bluish glow that seemed to at least partially lighten ones way down in the underworld.
Moving swiftly through the trees, Cobyn followed a mental map he had of the surrounding area. He and his family had traveled from the Marshlands before. It had been the place he had been born. The Unknown had driven them out though, leaving their city to burn. Cobyn's infant sister, Aleen. Aleen, had been lost that day, as had so many other Keddish people. The moon shone down from above, like a silver sun lighting his path. Creatures moved, fast and flitting through the trees as Cobyn walked, keeping a quick pace. He could hear the crunching of the leaves under his bare feet, and occasionally the moonlight would catch the hilt of the sword making it shine. Cobyn hurried. The armies would not clash for many days, having

swarming around cages filled with monsters, humans and other intelligent races such as elves, dwarves, demons, angels and such, were nobles wearing gaudy clothing.
Before I started reading this book I expected nothing more than a dry book from the 40’s that would bore me to death. However I was surprised to find the book filled with symbolism and Camus’s existentialism that has changed the way I look at life. The enjoyment of this book largely relies on the type of person you are.It might : depress you, make you happy, make you want to think for a while, or make you angry. It all depends on what message you take away from it.It makes you think about what life truly is and how you should live it. Each chapter builds on Meursault's character and reveals his thoughts with interactions with other characters. This book emphasizes on what the characters don’t say allowing you to draw your own conclusions on
In the story of an hour we can learn about Louise’s husband that was men very possessive and maybe that he did not allow Louis do certain things. The story of an hour focuses on what Louise have experienced in life that adjust our understanding of her husband. We can defuse that Chopin was trying to give us an idea or show how all men were during the time she lived. My judgment of him controlled by the context is a quite old and not right, because back then the men were the ones who diced everything without asking the women’s opinions, but with the time women finally are no longer dependent on men.
Resources drained quickly with an extra mouth to feed and when winter did truly bear down on us, it was unrelenting. When the first snow fell two weeks before Christmas, we thought we had sufficient firewood to last us through, but we never anticipated how much we would need to burn just to stay warm. Not just warmth, in preparing food, boiling snow down, heating water, so needless to say, it went fast.
The dining table stood in front of me, consisting a variety of food and a bouquet of brightly colored flowers in the centre. It was a gloomy day accompanied by a grey sky and, I was eating dinner with my brother that I came to visit and the commandant's family. My hands were sweaty and my heart was beating as fast as a cheetah. My brother was a soldier at the camp and even though I did not agree with what he was doing, I had to support him. Looking back now, my father fought for what he believed and now he is known as trader. I was terrified to pick up my fork, terrified to eat. I was shaking and could not believe my eyes. Did my brother just beat the chef to death? I thought.
