The steps I took in continuation of my walk began to slightly differ, as my left foot would be firmly and flatly stamped into the ground while my right simulated a near-nosedive into the earth, but always flattened just as it approached the saturated soil, skimming the crest of the earth with the sole of my boot. Every other step, I would alternate the roles assumed by each foot of the one preceding it; my right would assume the stamp-like duties of the left foot, and vice versa. I wasn’t entirely certain as to why I actually put forth effort into doing something as silly and ridiculous such as that, especially in light of what had just happened moments before with Richard, however it brought me pleasure through the simple medium of being temporarily …show more content…
To be quite honest, I was rather surprised and impressed with the fact that I actually knew and understood how long it would take before I arrived to my destination, and how I was able to eschew smacking face first into the unforgiving rigid structure. I uttered a soft chuckle to myself, placing both hands on their respected hips in astonishment at my simple feat as the wind gradually began to dwindle down to a stalemate of natural phenomena, from billowing demands of acknowledgement to soft a whisper of an undecipherable confidentiality. However, I knew that my cows were most likely being consumed further by stir craziness as each second wandered by, and that it would probably be in the best interest, of all parties, to permit the cows access to graze the surrounding land for awhile, to nourish their bodies by way of consumption and defecation. I hadn’t been able to, however, leading up to that day, as the weather had been far too frightful for the cows and could have potentially led herding them back into the barn to be an impossible task. However, due to the cessation of the rain and the collective slushiness of the terrain now being null, I figured it would be an appropriate …show more content…
It was almost as if that was nature’s way of dousing me with frigid water to end stupefaction or a deep slumber, but to the best of it’s ability with what it had on hand in the present situation. I promptly blinked my eyes in repeated fashion for several seconds, in lieu of using my hands to wipe the sleepiness of my eyes as they were coated in filth from the barn, and regained my senses as the wind dwindled to inexistence. The blades of grass around me, of moderate height, flexed and waved in accordance with wind but began returning to their natural looped and erect positions over the span of mere seconds. Their motion, or lack of in that moment, caught my attention as I began to gaze about the land and directed my eyes towards the right of where I was standing, and the barn, and found the wind continuing its reign of motion upon the grass. I found it intriguing to notice the phenomenon and observed as the same reign gradually fell over the land nearing and eventually all around me once more, similar to the moments preceding that
What images come to mind as you reflect on your childhood? Playgrounds, blackboards, and soccer balls may be among the warmest of memories. Yet for many mermaids swim their thoughts, princesses get swept of their feet, and lions roar to their loyal place in the animal kingdom. There is no doubt that today’s entertainment has most of its touch using classical influences. Walt Disney has produced animated films that have captured the heart and imagination of audiences of all ages around the world through the magic of storytelling and imagery. Many of us appreciate the imagination and magic that Disney puts into its animations with out knowing they are based off of classical and traditional storylines
Good morning brother and sister, I pray all is well with each of you as we continue this series on the children of Israel... we hope if the spirit allows us to end this series this week... When God give you instruction to do something, don’t be greedy, don’t ask tons of questions, and most of all don’t be too lazy and don’t do it...
Could you ever imagine sending your child on a field trip knowing that end purpose was for them to die? GOD sent his only son, Jesus Christ, to earth ultimately for this trip. Desire coming from the flesh of a woman, Jesus Christ is GOD's son. Jesus walked the earth to teach us about his father and how he wished for us to live, so that our souls would be clean in order to reach the pearly gates of heaven.

There I was sitting at the table eating what the nuns like to call food what just looked like to me slop I was sitting with my friend Felix. He came across a carrot and it was a full-size carrot he just sat there and stared at it not even touching it if he did not hurry up and I was going to grab it and eat it.
A few months later, I found myself riding with Halt back to his quaint little cottage nestled in the woods. He was teaching me about animal tracks. As our horses tread against the snow that lay on the ground, I noticed a massive print next to the cottage, and Halt said it was a giant boar. A man was lying in the bushes and came out to claim that he had seen the boar first hand, and that it was a mad and destructive one. Halt told him to go to the castle and tell the Baron to gather a group of men so that we can all go hunt the boar in the morning. The next day, I found myself on horseback on the outside of a circle of warriors, and Horace. If the boar were to escape through our circle, I was to chase it down and finish it off with my bow.
Let me tell you a short story about this boy. It was 9 o'clock in the afternoon when his parent asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up, he said with enthusiasm "I want to be a doctor", not knowing what it is. After that we just went about our days. Ten years later, he's a senior in junior high school getting ready to embark on the road where many have failed. He did what he had to do so that he can graduate. Graduation day was here and pretty quickly. His parents said to him, "no more fun and games, you are going to enter high school. All I want from you is to pass your class of high grades , graduate and go on to college to pursue your career to become a doctor." This kid heard a lot of things when it comes to becoming a doctor and
Mankind had believed themselves to have escaped the horrors that preyed on them in bygone ages. Perhaps they were right. Mostly. The torch of scientific progress kindles by newton and his companions spread like wildfire over the centuries that followed, and drove the beasts that dwelt in our shadows scampering back into the darkened pits that had spawned them; turning the hunter into the hunted. Physics, the idea that our world operates through universal laws, defeated the ancient magics that had once left Kings and nobles alike shivering in the all concealing night. Darwin and his concept of evolution banished the ancient monsters with such speed and ferocity that even hercules himself would have been envious. But there are still places in our world where the light of modern day hasn’t come to contact with . i come to you not with a tale of some hidden cave in the heart of the wilderness, but that endless sprawl that surrounds all of humanity's great achievements. The last great uncharted territory. The ocean
“Over here!” Lori called to her friend, Kayla as she was trudging below the blazing hot Arizona sun. After looking up and seeing Lori, Kayla shouted “Coming!” while jogging happily to greet her best friend. Both girls were looking forward to this get together because they were planning on hiking a new trail through the beautiful desert mountains. “I am so excited!” Kayla exclaimed once Lori caught up to Kayla. Carrying small filled bags with a couple granola bars, water, a hat, a couple of bandages and some sunscreen, you could see the anticipation in their eyes for this fun adventure! Although they didn’t do much research on this trail, they were thrilled for the trip ahead.
On August 3rd, 900, my parents found out they were having a child. They prepared for a
My heart wasn’t with him and it had been this way since the moment he brought me home to his apartment above the garage the day we were wed. I had at this point given up fighting to free myself and sunk deep into my thoughts. Upon remembering the day we met I could recall almost every detail about him; from the twinkle in his eyes to the gleam of his golden watch. There was a gleam of hope which I saw when I looked at him much unlike the strain and exhaustion I see as he lurks in the grey shadows of the garage. Though I detested this awful place, it was not New York I longed to adventure away from, it was him. Him and his oh-so ordinary ways. I wished to live a life of the extravagant and the bold, a life with Tom, a life that was not
Make up an idea of what a hero should be like, Are you done? Good. Now put that hero that you just made up and send him on a unforgetable journey. Make your hero go through unexpected battles and have him lose at least one important thing in his life. Next make up a story with a happy ending or a bad ending whichever one you desire. I asked these questions because you just made a hero's journey.
Cal walked through a trail in the woods during the last gasps of dying summer. Browning ferns brushed against his jeans while he paced. The trail was overgrown and undefined, and Cal stomped through sticks and tree branches to make his way through. He emerged through the thicket into a clearing for a power line route. He saw the old derelict boat, his family’s boat, nested in its 30 year resting place. He walked up to it and put his hands on the giant steering wheel and looked down at the undergrowth of plants at its base. Traditionally, the end of august was prime huckleberry season. And the base of the old boat was traditional grounds for some sizeable huckleberry bushes. When he was younger, Cal, his sister and cousin would bring buckets
Breathless, Alex ran through the forest. It was twilight, normally his favorite time of day, but this golden hour took on a malicious tone. These woods were full of weeds, slippery moss covered stones , and twisted, thorny vines. Alex’s foot caught on a snarled root, and he tumbled onto the cold dirt. Alex sensed something was amiss, and he knew The Beast was growing ever nearer. As Alex lay sprawled on the forest floor, a single thought ran through his mind. “I’m done.” with the will to live draining from him. Alex lay still in the dirt and leaves resting for his last time. The soreness in his legs was so unbearable he wanted the release of death; craved for it even. “Thump”....... “Thump” The Beast's feet approached slowly and
When we sit down for a breakfast of waffles and fresh berries, I notice the wind pick up dramatically. Looking outside, I see the trees bending over from the strength of the gusts with leaves flying everywhere. Mom exclaims how worried she is about the cows and asks me to bring them into the barn. As I walk outside, I brace myself for the extreme pull of the wind. My hair is whipping my face while I struggle to walk across the yard. Dust flying, I squeeze my eyes shut in order to preserve my vision. Eventually, I successfully make my way to the gate. The cows are huddled together and I presume it is so they can protect each other from the wind. Slowly but surely, I lead the cows into the barn where they can have some
