My Mom Is A Hero : My Hero

A hero in general is someone who stands foe strength, endurance, humbleness and shows great bravery. In our modern day society, we have many heroes, such as, firefighter, police officers, lifeguards, soldiers, doctors and even ordinary man and women whom risk their lives everyday. For example, soldiers fight wars on the borders of our country to keep civilians safe. Firefighter control deadly situations in spite of putting themselves in danger to save someone’s life. Ordinary men and women fight incurable diseases like cancer, AIDS, mental and physical disabilities and still have the strength to face life with a positive approach.

Heroes come in different shapes, sizes, and looks. Maybe someone you saw on the street one day was heroic for saving someone’s life in a car accident. A hero to me is someone who can be brave in situations that aren’t so safe, and take a risk to make sure everyone is okay, no matter who

A Hero is someone who is greatly admired. A Hero could be someone as real as you and me or it could be a fictional character like Batman or Captain America. They could be a powerful being or an inspirational teacher that leads you to the path for the rest of your life. Everyone has their own hero for their own reason.

Being a hero can shape a community as a whole, some people can make a positive impacts but somehow the hero's might not even be recognized and be unscathed of any praise. But also some people consider others heros but do not fit in necessary . A hero is someone who influences makes a positive impact on a person or community.

According to Joseph Campbell, "A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself" . This means that a hero is person who is made a sacrifice for the good of others. A Hero is defined by the Merriam-Webster dictionary as "a man admired for his achievements and noble qualities" . This means that a hero is someone people look up to. Anyone can be a hero. Heroes have qualities such as bravery, strength, and selflessness. Mothers, soldiers, and Odysseus are all examples of heroes.

A hero is someone who is admired and valued for their courage, outstanding achievements, and noble qualities. A hero to one person may not be a hero to another. I strongly agree with this definition for a hero to a person is not always a hero to others. In saying this, my hero is Isabelle Bruce Reid because she was the first female to qualify in Australia as a veterinarian. To me, Isabelle Reid was a name in history who changed the world, is valued and is a great role model.

A hero, a hero is someone or something that tries to be funny and is loving and caring. My Mom, Sara Lundberg is a mother, a wife, a hard worker, and most of all my hero. Sara Lundberg has has dark brown eyes that are the opposite of her personality loving, caring and nice. She is my Michigan hero.

Heroes have different backgrounds, personalities, and journeys. A hero is someone who is willing to make sacrifices for others, making their lives a little better. Heroes are there for people; it’s what they do. A very big hero in my life is my mother.

What exactly is a hero? To some it’s a fictional character with a cape who possesses a special power that helps them do great things for others; and to others it a completely different story. To me, a hero is someone who has made a good difference on not just my life, but others as well and has inspired us to never give up, to better ourselves, and to try and live life to the fullest. For example, Josh Hamilton, he has made a big difference and has had a good impact on my life in probably every aspect you can think of and not only that, but he has shown me that you can always get back up and fight, you can always overcome your life’s obstacles, also he has shown me that you should always have your faith in the Lord.

A hero to me is somebody who goes out of their way to help others for the better. There is no better definition of a hero than anyone who works for good and never turns their back on those in need.

What is a hero? Most people consider their hero to be Superman, Batman, Etc. Lots of people could be considered heroes, to some kids professional football players are their heroes. However my definition of a hero is someone who puts others lives before their own. My example of a hero is the U.S. Military. They put their life on the line every day for our freedom.

Besides being compassionate my mother is thoughtful. She stays at work late if someone needs help with theirs. She brings my grandmother dinner and runs errands for her. She is always putting others before herself. For instance, last year I began singing in the choir at Iowa State. It was really important to me because singing has always been a passion of mine. She drove to Ames for every single concert. It meant a lot to me to have her in the audience supporting me. This year I also started singing in the choir at my church. I was really excited and nervous about singing the first Sunday so few days before I was going to sing she gave me a beautiful necklace with a star pendant on it. I remember her warm hug and her telling me good luck and that I was ‘her star’. It touched me that she took time out of her busy schedule to encourage and support things that she knew were important to me. She could have just wished me well and enjoyed her few minutes of spare time, but instead she put me first.
