I. Introduction:
The topic I have choose to do my observation essay on is the Utica Festival. I wanted to choose something which I have never been to before. After doing some research I noticed that Utica was hosting their annual fall festival. After reading up on it a little more I could just tell it was perfect event to do my observation on. Food, games, and music, what more could a guy like myself ask for. The Utica Festival has been around for many different generations. Each generation has put their twist on things, that indeed has made the Utica Festival what it is today. Although Utica is a small village, they still can throw a festival comparable to a bigger inner city.
II. Summary
Utica is a small village located in Knox and

The noise was no different, workers yelling at me to play their games, parents yelling for their kids, and the music blaring. The smell was the only thing delightful. When the wind blew across my nose all I was able to smell was the freshly cooked french-fries.
The festival was set up in a very mythological way. When I first walked into the festival there was all of the arcade games. At that point in time all I could think of was the food, which was all I was able to smell. There were so many different types of scents, some which I have never even smelled before. All the different kinds of foods were simply amazing to say the least. There seemed like there was an unlimited amount of varieties to pick from. Anything from fried Oreos to Stromboli and everything else in between. I was feeling a little spontaneous and tried key lime pie on a stick. What a good choice that was. It’s a frozen slice of creamy goodness. After taking a bite

of the amazing desert my taste buds were jumping for joy. Don’t get me started on the lemonade. It was squeezed lemon goodness, with whole lemons in it. If all I was able to get there was the lemonade my life would have been complete.
The Utica Festival is not only limited to adults; it is fun for any age group. The festival wouldn’t be as fun without it’s fun fair games. Those games include ball and bucket toss, bingo, balloon and darts, skee ball, ring toss, and many more. I of course had to
On the other side of the ranch people were preparing for the rodeo, but first there was a big BBQ. They roasted a gigantic pig over the fire. It looked delicious, and the scent smelled so good that you wanted to eat it all. They had everything there, there was a long line of tables full of food, just talking about this is making my mouth water.
I wasn’t sure what I had been expecting that day. Certainly not flowers and sunshine and scented candles. But I sure hand’t expected the rancid stench of decay, and something else, as well. I’ve only ever been able to describe it as a smell like death. Not cancer death, though. It was sour and foul and could make a full grown man want to vomit. It smelled like rotting insides with maggots feeding on dead flesh with flies buzzing above and insides covering the ground and splattering the walls with dozens of worms slithering around inside the bloodied tissue; that sort of death.

Today marks the day where the state fair comes to town and they released a new ride called “Erikson’s ride”
This World Fair in Chicago was supposed to be designed bigger and better than anything in existence on the planet, no matter of cost or physical limitations. They also had so much pride that they believed they could find millions of dollars to spend on the construction of the Chicago World Fair. Not only that, but they also believed that they could drawn in so many visitors, that the fair would make a profit. This is all based on their pride.
It was delicious, each bite bursting with flavor. We all gave thanks as a family, and we were all thankful for each other. Everyone had fun, laughing and sharing memories of the past.
In addition to the vivid animal imagery, Perry's dream also evokes the sense of taste. He describes all the food in this paradise: 'Oysters. Turkeys. Hot dogs. Fruit you could make into a million fruit
People’s fascination with technology has been a huge factor in society since the beginning of civilization, which Erik Larson shows in his book about the 1893 World’s Fair, The Devil in the White City, therefore proving the continued relevance of this nonfiction novel.
For our Profile essay I wrote about the FEST, a one-day religious event for families. I have been going to the FEST for the past 5 years so I already knew a lot about it. The profile essay was also a bit of a reflection, I was able to think back to every FEST that I attended and realize how much it had changed and changed me. I was able to relay my feeling about this event, the important of it, and also give some information that would make even more people want to attend. For this essay I was called on to stand in front
It began with the Original Pinettes Brass Band from New Orleans leading off the kick-off parade through the streets of Lowell Friday night and by time the festival concluded Sunday evening; thousands of visitors, music fans, families, followers of folk culture and people from eastern Massachusetts and beyond came together to enjoy the 29th Lowell Folk Festival. In addition to a weekend of rhythmic sounds and bright colors, there was time to remember the roots of the festival.
In this essay I will be talking about the Kansas state fair. At the fair you can go to the cattle show where you can see cows of all shapes and color. Skinny cows fat cows brown cows and black cows. They all have vivid smells of cow turds and dirt. While at the State fair you can also go to the food court that smells like deep friers, cotton candy, and roasted corn. When you look in the windows when you order your food you will see deep friers with delicious food sitting in them being clocked to golden perfection. While you are at the state fair, I would suggest going on rides. They are the funniest rides in Kansas, they have the slingshot, which shoots you in the air while your adrenaline spikes.
Games, food, music, and entertainment were available to those who came to the festival. It was a memorable experience as families came to support the performing arts. Children were excited by the games, prizes, and snacks as the adults conversed and observed the performers.
This paper will discuss the culture of Appalachia reflected in the Jimmy Martin and the Sunny Mountains Boys videotape performance. By watching the video, one witnesses the unique yet orthodox Appalachian tradition that puts God and family first. Many Appalachians share this value system, while also staying true to their ancestral heritage (Appalachian, n.d.). By analyzing the festival atmosphere, musician, and music one can attain a better understanding of the Appalachian way of life.
I’m in love with music because it always seems to make my day go by better. Rap, recitals, jazz and classical concerts top in my music preferred list. My passion for music made me very excited about going the Columbus state musical concert held in the River Center of Performing Arts In the Legacy Room. The theatre is located in a nice location giving the audience a full range of sound and sight. The sounds are incredible and I really loved how I could hear everything. The stage can be seen from any place that one decides to stand on. For this particular concert, the venue was dimly lit. The concert staged was adorned by different musicians, with their amazing performances.. The audience could not help, but dance and sing along with the
