To begin, I have always had a passion for sports. Growing up I competed in many different sports including baseball, football, wrestling, and hockey. Before looking at college, I already had a sense of what job I wanted in the future. Being around sports all my life has made me realize that I want to continue to be involved in sports after college. The major I am currently pursuing during my time at Viterbo is Sports Management, and I plan to have a minor in marketing as well. I chose to pursue these based off the fact that I can talk, watch and play sports whenever necessary.
After graduation in 2020, my plan for my career will have begun. I plan on returning back to Chicago and getting involved with sports teams around the area such as Chicago White Sox, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, Chicago Blackhawks, and any teams affiliated with these teams. My plan is to work my way up to a marketing director, and being in charge of the sales and the different promotions each team can do to bring in traffic. Another option is to move to Michigan where my uncle lives to do the same thing, but instead I have a better opportunity to get involved because my uncle is the owner of the Single-A team for the Toronto Blue Jays, the Lancing Lugnuts. I do also plan on getting involved in becoming a sports agent for athletes, and helping them with contracts, and making higher salaries. Participating in sports has led me to the career of physical therapy. I have been an athlete all of my life. I have played every sport from tackle football to softball and every sport the community of Sitka offered. Being involved in several sports at one time helped me realize how easy it is to get injured and how crucial it is to have a physician that is supportive and understands an athletes injuries. By going to McKendree University I will be able to become a physical therapist and help injured athletes recover.

Sports marketing at Clemson University has many different aspects ranging from sports and technology and sport law to sponsorship and sports economics.
When I was deciding what I wanted to choose for my major, I thought about things that I love doing. One thing in life that I have passion for is sports, whether it be playing sports or helping others develop their skills for their sport. My long term goal for a career, I want to be an Athletic Director for a college. In order to become an Athletic Director there are certain step that someone needs to do in college to try and have the best chance at getting their dream job. Athletic Director is not a career that a person just graduated from college and gets hired by a school, they must work their way up from an entry level job and slowly moves their way up.
Becoming a cheerleader at such a young age, being on the cheer mat became a happy place for me. I spent thirteen out of my eighteen years of my life cheerleading and it is definitely something that means a lot to me. Being on the cheer mat whether at practice or at competition has taught me many life lessons that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Having such caring and dedicated coaches made my experience so special and unique. My passion for cheerleading shows tremendously as soon as I step on the mat, and learning many life lessons from cheer has shaped me into the person I am today.

The path that lead me to choose Sport Management as a major began at a young age where I demonstrated my admiration for sports. I have been participating in sports my entire life and still do to this day. Unfortunately, my time as an athlete will eventually come to an end and I will need to find an occupation that I have passion for. Everyone has that certain thing that makes them who they are. That certain thing for me is soccer. It’s my hobby, my biggest interest, and my passion. Soccer isn’t just a sport for me, it’s my life. It has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have played the intriguing game of soccer since I was four years old, and I have loved it ever since.

For the longest time I could not decide on a major and a career to study throughout college. When I came to Georgia Southern University I discovered that they had a major that was very interesting to me. Sport Management id the ideal major for my interest and me.
