ITT Technical Institute, Arlington TX campus is where I chose to gain my Associates Degree. I enrolled in 2007 with the dream of being successful it the IT industry. I knew a career working with computers would always be in demand and with experience, the industry would allow me to become highly successful. Graduating in 2010, after completing my associate’s degree, I then decided to pursuit the job market. I found, in the field of technology there are, what I like to call, “a series of projects”. My professional experiences consists of about six years working for privately owned companies as a technical support person, application support specialist, scrum master and trainer.
While working in my field of education for years, I began to prove that the more education and experience I have, the more money I can make. I began to realize with only an associate’s degree, I was limiting myself to one industry specific position, support. My personal goal and motivation for continuing my education, is of course to provide a better life for my family, but also to sustain a better quality of life. I am entering the next phase of life (turning 30), and I feel it is time to get real and build that solid foundation I have dreamed about. I know now from experience, the limitations of an associate’s degree. My professional goal of furthering my education with a B.S. in Project Management will place me in a better position to pursuit a wider scope of hands-on business opportunities in the

As a 17-year-old about to graduate high school, I had no idea what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. When I applied for UNF, I listed my major as exploratory since nothing was popping out at me. I discovered my passion what I want to do for the rest of my life halfway through fall semester, even though I still feel ignorant since I have only scratched the surface. After learning about the construction department at UNF, I shadowed a project manager back home and ran for project manager in my pledge class.
Why am I here at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, and what do you hope to do when you graduate? I am here at the University Of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) to become a college graduate and pursue my goals in my life. UMES has a Pharmacist department and Physician Assistant department, which one I plan to partake in after graduation. I am here to take an advantage on those particular departments to become the future Physician Assistant and or Pharmacist. UMES also have a biology major which I considered due to the fact that biology is required for the career fields in which I am most intrigued by. UMES is also where I received my college credits as a high school student.
It has taken me transferring out of University and suffering from an injury that ended my soccer career for me to finally end up where I need to be. I have always wanted to be in the medical field. As a little girl I was doing it all, from giving my father an IV to packing wounds on our farm animals. I just recently finished CNA I and never have I loved doing something as much as I enjoyed that. I never realized that I was a people person and going through clincals has opened my eyes to that. I can only imagine the impact that CNA II or even completing the ADN program will have on me, especially after the impact CNA I had on me. I am a very hard worker. I am goal oriented and determined to reach my goals. This scholarship would help me worry
Having recently taken some time out to pursue some personal goals, I am now looking for a role where I can take on new challenges.
Yes, I did. My personal goals align with our group project objectives, which include fulfilling the University of Mary Benedictine values, gaining a better understanding of the effect of socioeconomic has on children’s development, and attaining a better perception of the barrier that under-privileged children face in the acquirement of basic necessities. I provided the service to both the children and adults (food pantry) with my classmates, during which I implemented the Benedictine values and APTA core values. Throughout the interacting with different children, I noticed that how important the family and social support are to early childhood development. There was one single father who brought his son and daughter (both around 3-5 y.o) who could not even say a word at the beginning. After we taught them the games and played with them, they started to talk. I also learned some American games after this project, such as the “cat pull”, water balloon, capture the flag, etc, which will be helpful for me to treat pediatric patients in the future.
What I’ve already done to begin to accomplish my goals is to be part of my Health Science class so I can learn more about healthcare careers and what they’re all about. I’ve also gone to the hospital to shadow nurses so I can observe what being a nurse is like. I’ve also been doing community service because I know that later in the future that will help me to pursue my career. I’ve also researched about different universities and colleges that have health science programs.

As a child and even as a teenager one tends to make dreams and set goals for life. On occasion these goals are far stretched and sometimes even fairy-tale like, we tend to see life through a rose-colored glass, not taking into account the many sidetracks life throws our way. At that stage in life our goals tend to be less focused and somewhat unreachable. However, the process of growing up, or maturing, tends organized and center our goals, we learn to make compromises and set goals for our goals. There are different types of goals, short term and long term. I have learned to separate the many goals I have into three main categories: family, professional and personal.

While my time at the University Of Houston, I have watched myself grow and change into a stronger and more insightful individual. Exiting high school I wanted nothing more than to peruse a degree in technology, as this was the driving force behind my high school elective classes. When I first entered the University of Houston I started my degree in computer science in the school of mathematics and science, as I grew I noticed that this was close to what I wanted to do, but unfortunately was not a good fit to my personality. I then explored alternate degree options for myself as I felt that I was missing an important part of myself in my work. I then discovered the management of information systems in the school of business, I was excited

“Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into visible” -said Tony Robbins, author and life coach. Everyone has challenges throughout their life, but people have strengths that can lead up to effect their future. We use our goals to keep us motivated and our strengths to help us get past the challenges we face. Our weaknesses fade because our strengths become so strong and we are faced with new challenges. With each challenge we overcome we become stronger and we find more strengths in our challenges. I am a great friend because I always care for my friends and i'm their shoulder to cry on. I'm a very strong-willed person because I don't give up on something I want easily. I’m stubborn because I
