My weaknesses in time management and public speaking have set unnecessary and excessive obstacles in my life. As a result of these obstacles, I have suffered in the academic, professional, and social aspects of my life. The significance of the drawbacks associated with these weaknesses runs parallel with the need for reform and development. In order to establish and maintain reform, these weaknesses must be addressed through the identification of the basis, the analysis of techniques for improvement, and methods of application to college, work, and home.
Time management has been an expensive weakness that I have adopted from an early age. Throughout my childhood, my parents would burden me with responsibility of managing my time; however, as a child, I prioritized my joy before my homework, which, in turn, grew as a stubborn weakness for my future. Throughout middle school, I would procrastinate my study sessions, my projects, and my homeworks, because I was still capable of succeeding despite leaving it to the last minute.
