A picture, a journal, and a drawing, this is what my time capsule will contain. Those will be my important items. My items that my grandkids will discover. No matter whatever they believe, I apprehend that my grandchildren will remember me for this composition and my three objects.
Pictures, like a frozen instance in time or a concept that you'll cherish. I would install my photograph in my time capsule so that they apprehend what I cherish, and instead of implying rage, I should act with honor considering that some individual is sharing my insights. First, I would obtain a family photo so that they know what our attire was and what we behaved like. Second, I would put it in my time capsule. Third, I would bequeath it for my grandkids.

The Time Traveler climbs into the seat of the time machine, takes the starting lever in one hand, and the stopping lever in the other, and hurls forward into time. As he pushes the starting lever into the extreme position, he wonders if what he is experiencing is actually happening. As he tears his vision from the clock, the Time Traveler realizes a storm is forming around him and pushes the stopping lever. The machine stumbles in the sky and the Time Traveler is flung through the air! In the novel The Time Machine by H.G. Wells, a man travels through what he believes to be the fourth dimension, time, by using a time machine he created and goes on quite an adventure in
Travel to events in the past or the possibilities of the future has been a major theme of science fiction since the beginning. One novel, however, plays a larger role than most other books in bringing the thought of time travel to the consumers of science fiction: H.G. Wells’ The Time Machine. The novel speaks of times so far in the future and yet so similar to both Victorian Era England and the possibilities of the choices humankind has made since then. Let us take a journey to the year 802,701 and see what the future has in wait for us.
Wondering upon a metal or lodged in the ground might come across confusing, yet not to mention the foreign objects stored inside it. The box, a capsule, is used to educate future explorers about past generations. What belongings would best be left behind to depict a vision of this generation? My capsule would include baseball gloves and baseballs, a record player, and a handful of coal.
It is the year 2325 my team of prominent archaeologist, and I was summoned to dig up a site that our colleagues have found. My team and I will unearth this hidden object time capsule. As my staff and I prepare to locate the time capsule, we are nervous about what we may unearth. As my team, I open the time capsule we find five items in the capsule which are President Kennedy’s Election, Voting Rights, Peace Sign, The Pill and Sesame Street. The 1960’s time era was an important part of history that remains relevant in 2325. Unearth this period is necessary so they we may teach generations to come about the 1960’s time era.
The motto I like to live up to is; Things happen, and that’s life. Knowing this I never really have a solid idea of my future. Of course I like to imagine my future and what college I would go to, or what my apartment would look like, or even who I might end up with. But one tiny thing could change a big aspect of life, and I’m okay with that. You definity control your life and future even if you aren’t aware of your actions affecting it.
The time capsule that I will create must be made out of red quartzite, similar to that of Tutankhamen’s sarcophagus, this material would be great because it can withstand heat and it would take time for erosion to show. Because erosion can become a problem if water is present in the area, my time capsule would be located inside a cave. This cave would have to be present in the Valley of the Kings. The quartzite box would be place in a cave where water would be very hard to get into since flash flooding is a big problem in the dessert valley. Because there is only one possible element to the box, the chances of remaining intact and withstanding the test of time would definitely be successful. It really wouldn’t matter when it would be found because I think if its meant to be found, its destiny, if not well it wasn’t meant to be. A set period would be around 100 years or perhaps later because this cave could have already been searched through and after somebody already searched, it could be a hit-or-miss for somebody else to go in that same cave.
The personal artifact that best represents my past self would be a book titled The Amulet of Samarkand. It’s written by Jonathan Stroud, and is the first book in The Bartimaeus Trilogy. This book represents multiple aspects of my life since coming to Canada. I don’t remember when or where I bought it, but it was one of the best books I read during my elementary years. My choice to use it for this project was largely influenced by its significance to my former self and by the more broad traits it symbolizes. One of the most memorable things about my younger years is my love of fantasy; I craved to be the people and creatures I read about in complex novels with developed worlds and fascinating characters. My love of reading extended beyond rules and reason; by age nine I was more often than not engrossed in multiple YA novels at the same time, and often got in trouble for reading in class. To me this artifact represents my desire to live life to the fullest, even as a young child. I remember using books, make believe games, and movies to lose myself in incredible new worlds. These places were dynamic and completely altered from my reality; I could be whoever I wanted. I have not lost my love of fiction, but my life is much busier now and I rarely have a spare moment to devour a chapter (or thirty).
In 1795 Paul Revere and Samuel Adams placed in the cornerstone of the Massachusetts Statehouse a time capsule. It was a small box, an inch and a half deep and about half the size of a piece of printer paper. Two-hundred and twenty years pass- neighborhoods are built, colleges, schools, churches; the Civil War, and its draft riots, begin and end. Flight is conquered; the automatic rifle is invented- the typewriter, telegraph, television, and the computer soon follow. Awash with war, the twentieth century sees the fall of empires, large and small, and the development of the atomic bomb. The Olympic Games, Watergate, Harry Potter, 9/11. Two and a quarter centuries after Revere and Adams laid the small box in a stone in the capitol of the 6th state,
My memento is a blanket that I made with my grandma when I was younger. This blanket is a memento to me because it represents family along with one of my passions. Family is represented by this blanket because it was made by me and my grandma and love as well as time being put into making it. The memory of making it and it finally being finished will never fade from my mind and is more vivid just looking at the blanket. Me and my grandma made this blanket because if you know me I’m kind of obsessed with blankets but I also really enjoy playing soccer. These two things were incorporated when I got to make this blanket. Soccer is a big passion of mine and was represented in this blanket by having one side with soccer balls and the other with
The continuous struggle to break ground on new revolutionary creative practices has led artists down unsuspecting paths, often subject to great controversy. Bioart has become a recent trend in contemporary art circles; in collaboration with biologists, anthropologists etc it appropriates organic mechanisms as a medium for art. This emerging field, provocative and inspiring, exposes technical, procedural and ethical issues. Art has become an impetus to the nature – culture dichotomy and this has never been as evident as it is today. Human and Earth systems have collided and fused, as a result, a separation of the two is near impossible. Eduardo Kac, amongst others such as Stelarc or Orlan, is a kind of flagship of this new epoch of the Anthropocene.
Are you reading this on a Thursday? If you are or even if you’re not, I’m still going to do a throwback to my high school days in English class. The main paper I remember about high school, and many other students do, is the senior paper. The same paper that needed to be done in order to graduate. My senior paper was an example of an argumentative essay. It had to be a certain amount of pages long, so the normal 5 paragraph essays we were used to did not help. What did help was turning in the draft a week before the paper was due. That way we would get feedback from the teacher and fix anything they found that could use more help .
I would send an ancient artifact, specifically a pyramidion, from Egypt to convey a sense of symbolic meaning and treasure. I would select Egypt because its ancient civilization achieved a humongous amount of prodigious feats and accomplishments. A pyramidion is the stop stone in an Egyptian pyramid. I would also send a real human brain, which symbolizes accomplishment and superiority over all other living organisms on Earth. This would represent unity of mind and intelligence. This brain would come in a sterile package so no harmful bacteria or viruses would be transmitted. This brain would originate from a human of average intelligence with no mental deformities. I would also send a binary encoded hard drive to symbolize knowledge. Binary is the simplest universal code for an advanced, computational civilization because of the way logic gates
The idea of preserving items in a 500 year time capsule may seem like an amazing idea but it is actually rather difficult to find objects worthy of being put in it. Certain items from my infancy would have to be included because certain events that happened back then have helped to make me the person who I now today. My infant life was not one full of idealistic situations due to my birth parents who were unfit to take care of me, and I am thankful I call my aunt and uncle my mom and dad. They were very abusive and I would want to preserve some of those memories to explain several points. I would also want my future generations, or whoever would uncover the capsule, to know what it was like to live during this time period, and the
Back in history, there were not electric portable devices to keep track of history. Only a few details could be saved in the form of writing or pictures. The videos were not of good quality thus the technology was in making. The time capsule saved in 1960 that we found in 2325 contains following five items:
Once in my basketball game, my team was losing by many points. However, we never gave up and started to make a comeback. The crowd was getting louder as the final seconds approached. There was 2 seconds left, and Julien Flores shot the ball. Swoosh. We had won the game because we never gave up. Persevering through obstacles is the major theme in H.G. Wells novel titled, “The Time Machine”. This novel is about a time traveler who traveled far into the future and encountered strange humanoid creatures. The world was very different and another species called the Morlocks had stolen his Time Machine. The Time Traveler persevered through this and he eventually got his Time Machine back and he travelled back home.
