The Black Panther is an upcoming American superhero film. Black Panther's core concept that there is a mysterious African country (Wakanda) filled with otherworldly technology, affluent people, and godlike warriors. However, begs the possibly critical question: Where was Wakanda when black people suffered all over the world throughout human history. Long ago Wakanda settled by five belligerent tribes who united under one king. Authorized by the mountain of "vibranium" a powerful metal in existence, implanted in the earth by a wayward asteroid. Wakanda grew more and more secretive, under the leadership of a chain of kings who took on the veil of the Black Panther. The Black Panther shadows T’Challa who returns home to Wakanda to take his place
The Black Panther Party had a great deal of negative outlooks portrayed on them by not everyone, but more than half of the society. Without a doubt, the Black Panther Party addressed multiple situations with violent acts that implemented negativity towards them. The late Martin Luther King believed that he could obtain equality without having to use violence as a lament, instead the Black Panther’s believed that King’s non-violence movement had failed, and that violence was necessary to get through to the people who saw black communities and minority groups as insignificant. Although, the Black Panther Party only granted membership to African Americans, they weren’t anti-white, the Black Panther Party considered themselves
Organized in the 1960s at the height of the American Civil Rights Movement, the Black Panther Party emerged as a revolutionist group pioneering a strategy of militancy. The Party’s aims were to eliminate the discrimination challenging African-Americans in America since the time of slavery, and to protect their communities from police brutality. Inspired by contemporary radical leaders such as Malcolm X, the party recognized that in order to restructure American society so that civil equality was obtainable by all people, a much stronger opposition was necessary. Party members felt the passive resistance adopted by their predecessors fighting for equality proved
The Black Panther had a huge background of history, goals, and beliefs. Huey P. Newton and Bobby Seale in Oakland, Ca 1966, founded the Panthers. They were originally as an African American self defense force and were highly influenced by Malcolm X’s ideas. They were named after Lowndes County Freedom Organization or LCFO. The Panthers had many goals like; giving back to the ghetto, protecting blacks from police brutality, and to help blacks get freedom and jobs. They also had many beliefs like;
Imagine it is the 1960’s: conflict in Vietnam had sparked widespread protest at American college campuses, people all over the country were reading the The Feminine Mystique and fighting for increased equality among the sexes, and the Civil Rights Movement was at its peak. African Americans throughout America were uniting for the common cause of equality, however differing ideology and beliefs regarding how equality could be achieved divided them. Martin Luther King and Malcolm X rose as prominent leaders in the fight against racial inequality, the latter typically credited with the development of more violent methodology which excluded white involvement and conceived the movement of “Black Power.” The Black Panthers, members of a political party formed by college students Huey Newton and Bobby Seale in 1966, are typically associated with the idea of black power and the legacy of Malcolm X despite the fact that he had died a year prior to the party’s founding. While the idea of black power is easily and mis-conceivably associated with the idea of black supremacy and violence, The Black Panther Party primarily sought a spot for African Americans next to that of whites, not above. The Black Panther Party, despite its violent appearance and legacy, made a positive influence on American history through its platform based on equality, human rights, and patriotism.
Time and time again, the Black Panther must represent his nation in front of the entire globe. Because of this, everyone has knowledge of the Black Panther a.k.a T’Challa. Black Panther’s respect for his people is shown particularly when Wakanda was invited to a very important panel that would be aired in front of the world. This panel would include the likes of Reed Richards, Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, and many more “Big Name” heroes. Panther brought along two colleagues from Wakanda to sit with him on the panel – Okoye and Nareema. When the panel intensified, it was the Black Panther turn to offer up some resolutions. During this moment, Okoye and Nareema suggested some of their thoughts to T’Challa and the rest of the panel. Even though Stark and company tried to downplay their suggestions, their King stepped up for them, allowing their points to be heard worldwide. “No you may not Mr. Stark, my companions will be heard!” Because of T’Challa’s respect, he enabled Okoye and Nareema to cultivate a sensible solution, which was eventually used to help prevent an oncoming conflict.

The nation of Islam and Black panther both believes in freedom that all black people should have the same right as the white people. “WE WANT freedom for all black men held in federal, state, county and city prisons and jails.” ( Black power) Many black people went to jail just because they were their when an accident happens. They never get a trial like a white person; they should have the same right as everyone the only difference is their skin color. Many skin color people went to jail just for something ridiculous and they stay in the prison for life.
The Black Panther Party formed as a result of Black Nationalism which came from a multitude of events that began to form decades before any mention of The Black Panther Party. To even begin to understand a group such as this, one must first attempt to grasp the historical context which lies behind them. Blake (1969) asserts that the initial onset began back in 1619 when the first of the colonial settlers accepted a number of captured Africans which were to be used as servants leading to the period of slavery which serves as a sore spot in this country 's history. One of the primary streams of thought behind this idea of Black Nationalism can be summed up as the hypocrisy felt by African-Americans during the era of slavery as well as after it 's end. These are a race of people characterized by their looks and were not given the same rights within the society, yet at the same time, were expected to meet the standards of “regular” citizens within the country creating that sense of inferiority.
Mens and Women’s Basketball games at High Point University differ however they both build a sense of Panther Nation. To analyzing the symbols of Panther Nation I attended the Men’s Basketball game against Campbell and I played in the Women’s Basketball game against Liberty. During the Men’s game I was a spectator watching in communion with the fans around me; however during the Women’s game I was a player analyzing the action on the court. Watching the games as a fan and a player offered me different perspectives of the Panther Nation.
One of the biggest problems Africans Americans faced in America is Segregation, discrimination, racism, prejudice, rebellion, religion, resistance, and protest. These problems have helped shape the Black struggle for justice. Their fight for justice marks a long sequence of events towards their freedom. Founded on October 15th 1966 in Oakland, California, the Black Panther Party for Self Defense was an organization opposed to police brutality against the black community. The Party’s political origins were in Maoism, Marxism, and the radical militant ideals of Malcolm X and Che Guevara. From the doctrines of Maoism they saw the role of their Party as the frontline of the revolution and worked to establish a unified alliance, while from Marxism they addressed the capitalist economic system, and exemplified the need for all workers to forcefully take over means of production (Baggins, Brian). Mao was important to the Black Panthers because of his different stance on Marxism-Leninism when applied to Chinese peasants. The founders of the Black

In October of 1966, in Oakland California, Huey Newton and Bobby Seale (African American Activists) founded the Black Panther Party for self-defense. The panthers practiced militant self-defense of minority communities against the U.S. government, and fought to establish revolutionary socialism through mass organizing and community based programs. The party was one of the first organizations in U.S. History to militantly struggle for ethnic minority and working class emancipation - a party whose agenda was the revolutionary establishment of real economic, social, and political equality across gender and color lines. “Black Panther is giving power to people who have not had the power to determine their destiny” (Huey Newton, 1).
With the recent increase in a greater diversity of characters in media, people have become more tolerant towards differences in other cultures. One such character is Black Panther. In most popular sources of media, people of color are not given the role of the main character; rather, they are supporting characters who are often overlooked by the leading white characters. The scarcity of people of color in media has resulted in many children of color not having a role model to revere who shares their same culture and experiences regarding their race. Black Panther is the first black superhero in mainstream American comics (Johnson). Created in July 1966 during the civil rights movements Black Panther has always been a very progressive character in the superhero genre. The time at which Black Panther was created contributes greatly to the attributes he depicts in the comics and movies. Black Panther’s persistence in completing his task reflects the tenacity shown by protestors during the civil rights movement. In many instances, the struggles which Black Panther undergoes are very similar to the hardships that African Americans faced during the civil rights movements. Black Panther teaches children about the injustices that they may face due to the color of their skin, in a medium that is appropriate for younger generations. The Black Panther franchise also shows children of color that their race should not limit them from achieving success.
