National Honor Society Application Essay

Being accepted into the National honors society is not only and honor, but most importantly a privilege. This means that I have achieved many academic goals, such as my 3.86 GPA, and success in many of my other clubs as well. I have taken multiple honors classes throughout high school and excelled in them. They have taught me a strong positive work ethic and gave me the criticism that I need to better myself. Also, I have been given the responsibility as Captain of my golf team. My job is to instill confidence and inspiration to my teammates ensuring them that they can accomplish the highest of goals on the golf course. Not to mention that is only one of my leadership rolls at Middletown High School South.

Of the pillars of National Honor Society, the first that I believe I exhibit is character. I am outgoing and love

The National Honors Society allows students to be build and create traits that are essential in a successful adult. I truly believe that hold many of these traits and joining the National Honor Society will grant me the opportunity to expand on these traits and grow as a person. Thus far I have focus greatly on the scholarship aspect of NHS and have been dedicated to my academics. I have held my GPA above 4.0 and have always been devoted to maintaining that high level of academic success. The skills I have shown in devoting myself to my academics can be easily translated into my dedication for the other aspects of leadership, service and character. Having previously held a officer role in the National Junior Honor Society I have gained experience

Each trimester I always strive to get all A’s on my final report cards and keep my GPA above a 3.5. To help me maintain good grades when I’m having a difficult time learning something. I attend after school programs to help me understand that concept and raise my grades back to my standards. Even being busy with home life and sports I always make sure I get my homework completed and if needed test remakes in on time. Another way I exemplify scholarship is by helping my classmates. I help them when they are having a hard time understanding a concept in something I understand. This helps me make sure I have learned the material and also helps another student know the material and potentially raise their grades. These are a couple examples that show how I have illustrated scholarship during my high school

It is an honor to be chosen as a candidate for membership in the National Honor Society. Academics, leadership skills, service abilities, and character are four principal parts of a superior student. I believe that I am inclusive of all these aspects needed to become a part of this prestigious group. Becoming a member of this organization is important to me, because it will help me get into an excellent college and push me to work harder in school.

National Honor Society truly is a honor to be accepted into. National Honor Society represents scholarship, leadership, service, and character. I believe since I was young I have shown compassion and leadership needed in our society. That is why this is the right society for me.

If I were to be accepted into the National Junior Honor Society, which is one of the highest honors that can be awarded, I would consider myself to be a very lucky person. Throughout my life, I've always considered myself as someone with good character and values.I've always prided myself in always doing the right thing and helping others. In addition, I view myself as a leader, not a follower. Being a leader comes naturally to me. I'm a leader amongst my friends and siblings. They always look up to me when they have a problem or when they need advice. I have a good standard education with an A average which will help me achieve my goals in the future.

It is an honor to be considered for membership for the National Honor Society. The service that I have done throughout my high school career will benefit me later in life. If I get accepted I will do more service with the school, classmates, and community. So far, I have joined Band and am part of the News Crew.

The four pillars of the National Honor Society create a unique balance for any student that follows them. Personally, I excel in scholarship because I truly enjoy going to school and intend to go many more years in the future. My college interests involve the honors college at the university I am attending as well as a pre-medical path; therefore, my education, or scholarship will be a vital part of my college experience. In regards to the other three pillars of this Honor Society, service also adds balance to a student’s life. To serve others brings one a sense of integrity and an amazing feeling of generosity. Through the National Honor Society, I have learned many extraordinary ways that I can help my community whether it is something small

I may not be the best candidate for the next member of the National Junior Honor Society, but I certainly believe I could be a great addition! Overall, I am a great learner, leader and student. I have not had any major discipline problems since kindergarten! I have always had top grades and have been top of my class at some point or another. I have good grades that I always maintain and standards that I never lower. My character is not the best but it certainly isn’t the worst. I try to help out in my school or community when possible but regrettably I have not given much of my time to my school or community. At the end of the day, I am a good student, friend, son and brother.

I deserve to be a member of the National Honor Society because I feel like I’ve earned it. Over my high school career, I have been through many challenges, but I learned to face them head on with a positive attitude knowing how good the outcome can be. I fit the qualifications to be a member and if I do not fulfill them to a certain level, I will work on how to reach them. Throughout my school education, I’ve always tried my best, even more so in high school. I hold myself up to a very high expectation, I know I can always do better than before. As for volunteering, I am always involved in my community as much as I can. As a child, I was involved in many programs and I continue to do service work with more benefits to my future and character

Students should demonstrate scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character because of three reasons. One, if students demonstrate these qualities they are more likely to get better grades and get reprimanded less. Another, without these traits, a student would have far less opportunities in the future. Finally, as students grow they will gain much more wisdom if they allow themselves to work on demonstrating these characteristics. Overall, these qualities are very important in the present, and in the future.

I would like to become an active member of Carrboro High School National Honor Society, because I am looking forward to the opportunity to serve and improve the community with other like-minded students. I believe it is important to balance academics, athletics, and community service. For example, this year I am taking 5 AP classes, running cross-country and track, and have spent almost 150 hours volunteering in the community. The first time I volunteered was when I raised a diabetic alert dog with my family. Even though I was sad to see the dog I had raised go, it was a rewarding experience because I knew that the dog would help someone have a better life. Anytime I can find an opportunity to both improve myself and the community, I won’t hesitate to seize it. I found the opportunity to do just that at both Shodor and CHCCS Project Graduation.

I am interested in becoming a member of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) because it will help boost my leadership and social skills, character, citizenship, and help me to become a better scholar. These skills are important because they will help me learn to listen to other people’s ideas and share ideas with others. Also, NJHS will help me learn to lead and take charge, help my community, and maintain a good GPA to get into a great college. I am also interested in being a member of National Junior Honor Society because my sister was in it when she was in middle school and they did multiple interesting and productive projects, activities, and field trips.

Over the years, I have had numerous experiences that have taught me important life skills like perseverance, leadership, personal organization, team building, empathy, and service to others. If I were to be accepted as a member of the Honors College I would share my experiences to influence my peers and add to diverse skills within the campus. Being a part of Honors College will provide me opportunities for intellectual challenge, leadership, and connect with the community of scholars and dedicated advisors and faculty members.
