For my film project I chose, Natural Born Killers, (1994) the film stars Woody Harrelson and Juliette Lewis as the notorious couple Mickey and Mallory Knox. The film follows Knox’s on their cross-country murder spree that captivates the world as the media glorifies their crimes making them the most infamous serial killers since Manson. Natural Born Killers starts out in a small diner in the middle of the desert, Mickey is ordering pie and Mallory is dancing to a jukebox, a couple of locals enter and one starts flirting with Mallory causing her to kick the crap out of him. Its when his friend jumps in that Mickey springs into action killing him and everybody else in the restaurant along with them. After the gruesome killings the Knox’s …show more content…
Mallory joins and the two manage to kill him, and then precede to lite her mother on fire for not helping her all these years. The couple makes their escape and starts their cross-country massacre, but not before getting married on the side of the road. The film moves on to media style coverage of the carnage the Knox’s are causing, and the public loves it. Crowds scream their names and idolize them; the Knox’s have reached star status. The Knox’s are finally caught after they get bit my rattlesnakes and try to get the antidote after Mickey kills a Native American who shelters them. The two are arrested after a shoot out and sent to federal penitentiary, where their fame, fueled by the media continues to grow. The film reaches its climax as Mickey and Mallory are being held in the same prison and their presence has put the entire prison on edge. The warden calls in the officer (Scagnetti) who caught the infamous couple to transfer them to a insane asylum and kill them on the way. Media personality Wayne Gale, talked himself into a one-on-one interview with Mickey the day before the transfer is to happen and it is during this interview the prisoners watching start a riot, giving Mickey the opportunity to escape and rescue Mallory to. With a surprising amount of help by Gale, who actually kills some officers himself. Ultimately the film ends with the Knox’s escaping and killing Gale after finishing the

The Green Mile is a 3-hour film of two halves: firstly, painting a vivid portrait of life on death row, and the trivialities that brighten up the lives of the people who live and die there. The second half of the movie is given to exploring Coffey himself: his past, his crime, and his powers. He is initially misunderstood by those around him, is convicted of a crime he did not commit, he greatly enriches the lives of those around him, and is eventually executed for refusing to proclaim his own innocence.
The film that I will be analysing is “The Shawshank Redemption”. The Shawshank redemption is a film that was directed by Frank Darabont in 1994 and it was set in 1947. This film is about a young hotshot banker named Andy Dufresne who was wrongfully convicted of murdering his wife and her lover. For this crime he was given a double life sentence and he was sent to Shawshank prison to serve this sentence. While in prision Andy makes a couple of friends and his best friend in prison is named Red. Red runs the black market in shawshank prison and he knows how to get things. Over the span of 20 years Andy earns the respect of his fellow prisoners and he also earns the respect of some of the guards by doing their taxes for them in return for just a couple of favours. The extract that I have chosen to analyze is the rooftop scene.
In the opening scene is shows three boys playing street hockey, Jimmy, Sean, and Dave, when two men pull up in a car posing as police officers and abduct one of the boys (Dave) he is held captive and is tortured until he escapes. The movie then shows these three individuals in present day with their families. Jimmy owns small store which he runs with his daughter Katie, Sean who is a Homicide Detective for Boston and Dave who married and has a young boy.
After the plan goes into effect, they realize that the virus is not stealing pennies, but is moving thousands of dollars. Peter decides to return the money to the company and take the blame so his friends don’t get into trouble. He writes an apology letter and leaves it under his boss’s door. However, when he goes to work next morning the office building has been burned down by another disgruntled worker. The movie ends with the three friends doing whatever it is they like doing instead of sitting in their cubicle all day.
For my movie analysis, I chose the 1984 satirical documentary, This Is Spinal Tap. The movie is written to be viewed as if it were a real documentary about a heavy metal band going through the stages of being on top to hitting rock bottom, only to come back in the end. The movie pokes fun and real rock documentaries, by showing you that rock stars are, still in the end, people too.
The film, Confessions of a Sociopath, was made by the critically acclaimed director Joe Gibbons. Joe Gibbons is famous for his experimental films, and this film is perhaps his best project to date. The film is an hour long and takes the viewer through real life events that have occurred in Joe’s life. In the film, Gibbons acts as a fictional version of himself where he finds a room full of footage from his life with events that he can no longer recall. The film describes his earlier film experiments, his descent into constructive behavior and his bottoming out on drugs and alcohol. It is intriguing to see a side of a well-known film maker that no one would have thought existed. The film is also greatly intriguing because it is not made in the traditional professional way. The viewer is taken through a series of events that seem normal and completely unscripted. It is also clear that most of the events in the film were shot without the assistance of professional cameramen and directors save for Gibbons himself.
The beginning of the film opens up to the main characters struggling to make their rent. The rest of
This trigger Michael to go back to his neighbouring friends but ended into a fight after the leader of the group gave crude remarks about Leigh Anne and her family. Leigh Anne went to look out for him after he run away but unsuccessful in her search. They got reunited when Michael called Leigh Anne to meet up with him to talk and this conversation went on to a decision that she would support him whatever decision he makes. Michael also satisfied the investigator with his decision of choosing University of Mississippi for the reason that it is where his family went to school. The film ends with an emotional goodbye between Michael and Leigh Anne as they took him to University of Mississippi for his college.

The film was directed by Arthur Penn, and stars Faye Dunaway as Bonnie Parker, and Warren Beatty as Clyde Barrow.
The last person we are going to talk about is Randy. Randy is a man who had just gotten out of prison after serving 16 years for murder. Through the whole movie randy has been struggling with finding a job because everywhere he tries to go just looks at the fact that he served time for murder. During the movie Randy is always looking at the bright side of life and looking toward his family to get him going in the right direction, and he even has another child with his girlfriend. At the end of the film Randy is doing great and living up to his expectations of his parole.
The Warden sees how intelligent Andy is and moves him from hard labor, into the Library. Andy helps other guards with their taxes and college funds for their children. After 6 years of writing letters to the state, Andy receives two hundred dollars and used books for his library. Andy finds out about the Warden stealing money. After calling the Warden “obtuse” Andy is sent to Solitary for a month. One morning during count, Andy doesn't show up. The guard goes up to his cell to find it empty. Red is sent to Andy’s cell while Warden asks him questions. As he is asking him questions, he is throwing Andy’s rocks around the room. The rock hits a poster and goes through it. The Warden rips down the poster to find a hole in the wall. Andy escaped and stole the Wardens money. He mailed an article about a murder at the prison to the local press. At the prison, Hardley is arrested. When they go looking for the Warden, He is locked in his office with a gun. He then points the gun at himself and commits suicide. Red finally gets approved for parole and leaves

The movie “Shawshank Redemption” shows what goes on in a prison. The movie depicts the part of a prison that most people are not aware of. People think of a prison as a place a person is tortured physically as well mentally. However, all that being said true, friendship, hope, and loyalty exists in prison. The movie shows how the main characters Red and Andy build a friendship that lasts in life after prison and loyalty among the inmates. Besides the development of friendship, the movie clearly shows the everyday routine of a prisoner’s life. The movie focus on the main characters Andy, who used to be the vice president of Portland bank before entering prison convicted with a double murder of his cheating wife and a man she was with and
