Nature vs Nurture has always been a topic of conversation
Whether people were born with a certain trait or them naturally having the ability to adapt to a certain condition , due to the environment they are living in. In these two articles the authors wrote the article with different points of view , often debating whether someone’s environment has to do with their own success and the way they end up in the future . If they are successful or if they end up in “bad” places due to the choices they make. In the article “The Science of Success” , in paragraph 3 its states “ With a bad environment and poor parenting , orchid children can end up depressed , drug addicted, or in jail - but with the right environment and good parenting they can grow up to be society's most creative, successful, and happy people “.
When we think of the word nature what comes to mind often is trees and birds or the way the wind blows . In this case we are talking about nature in a way that involves genetics.

When it comes to wealth money can be very provocative due to all of the consumerism going on .Money is just something that eroding into our heads and making people do things that are not okay but we often think it is . I find it as a phenomenal that some people still think that money is everything because it's truly not, it's a way we should not be living. Back to the affluenza teen , in the article “ Money Changes the Way We Think and Behave” in paragraph 3 , it says “ psychologist G Dick Miller acted as an eye witness for the defense of the boy , argued how the boy was suffering from affluenza ,” then to later said “ I wish i had not used the term “. It goes both ways for nature and nurture in the sense that they both have consequences either good or bad. The article “ The Science of Success” also talks about similar situations but using and comparing both as orchids and
Nature plays an important role and shapes a human's lifestyle. The question is which has a greater influence, Nature genes that we're born with or Nurture the environment we live in? Nowadays people tend to live and act based on their Genes. Genes can be anything from a person's height, hair color, eye color, fatigue, personality, and behaviors. Humans have been inheriting traits from decades ago. Nevertheless, Researchers and Psychologists and Scientists think that Genes are the answer to our actions. I agree with them because “You inherit your environment just as much as your genes" – Johnny Rich. This essay will persuade the reader as to why I chose Nature, why/how is it more important than Nurture, provide case studies/examples and reasons for Nature's importance.
How do people become who they are as they grow up? Is it heredity and hardwired into their genes or does the environment in which they grow up determine who they become? Or more importantly, is it a combination of the two? This has been the debate among psychologist for years. Yet these pictures display the biological as well as environmental influence a father has on his on. Kathleen Berger (2016) gives the example of the onset of type 2 diabetes being connected to nature—a genic vulnerability and nurture—the way in which the mother ate during pregnancy. What is more, nurture seems to play an incredible role in how individuals develop and learn to navigate the world. For instance, family and culture give major clues into appropriate behavior and at the same time nature hardwires temperament and personality within each person (Berger 2016). All in all, Berger (2016) points out that any view that gives too much attention to either nature or nurture is extreme. Therefore, the reason someone does something good or bad should not rely solely on upbringing or “it runs in the family” because both nature and nurture are at work within.
Nature v Nurture plays a big role in the outcome of Tom and Chambers’ lives. Nature vs. Nurture is a longstanding debate about the effects of biology and social systems on individuals and behavior. The “nature” side is stated that people are shaped primarily by genetics and biology meaning the way the are as a person is strictly due to that they were born that way as that person. The “nurture” side is participation in social life is the most important determinant of what people are and how they behave simply meaning that the environment and people that someone grew up in is why the person is the way they are later on in life. In this case it is more appropriate that the nurture side applies to the outcome of their lives.
Nature is of the belief that inherited traits found in our genes make us who we are. From the day we are born, we are subject to society, which play an important role in who we are by way of family, friends, and media. Any situation we are subject to has an impact on us. I remember my parents scrutinizing my older brothers about the friends in which they chose to
What makes a woman a woman and a man a man? Are we who we are because we are raised differently from others? Many of our physical traits such as gender, skin colour and blood group are rather straightforward in that they are directly attributed to our genes which have been mapped out in recent years. However, certain human traits remains a biological mystery. These traits have been studied on the "outside" but whose "inside" origins remain unclear. Such "mysterious" traits can be anything like intelligence, athletic ability, skin tone and muscle mass. They are traits that some claim to be acquired later in life.
- The argument between whether the determining factor of a person character is based primarly on nature or nurture is an argument that can go pretty much either way depending on the experience of the person who is asked. While many would say that nature is more of the dominate factor because it deals with heredity, an equally strong point could be made about nurture because it deals with ones social environment. Personally I believe that both play major roles in the development of a person character but the role of nurture slightly outweighs nature when it comes to this area. I say this because even if a person is bound to develop certain negative traits, if they are put in a structured environment where the development of those traits can
Does nature or nurturing shape a person? Nature means your genetics which determine your physical traits like hair color and I.Q. Nurturing is how your life shapes you, like where you live, or where you travel. I think that nurturing plays a bigger part in shaping us because our experiences and family help to develop us into the person we become when we are fully grown up.
Over the years, scientists have struggled to prove whether nature or nurture has the key role in the determination of key characteristics and traits that humans have expressed. One characteristic’s development that has been extremely difficult to base solely off of genetic of environmental influence is a human’s intelligence. The question of whether a person’s intelligence comes from the generations before them or does it simply develop from life experiences, lessons, and schooling. The tumultuous amounts of research and ever-changing and advancing theories all seem to agree that both nature and nurture have a partial role in the development of intelligence.
Have you ever wondered “Why does she act like this?” Well, nature and nurture can help with that. Nature is what makes up who you are in the future. It takes all of the things from the past and ties them together to make who you are now. It changes in what you see, hear, think, and do. Everyone has something in common. Nurture is great just like nature, but it has some things that are different. Nature is how a child is raised by society and friends. It changes how you act, look, and feel about yourself. Things that happen in your childhood affect how you are now. Out in town could affect how you feel about things. Nature and nurture are both important to everyone. They both affect how you learn and grow. Everything has a
Do genes or environment make more of an impact on thoughts, personality, or health? Does environment affect how a human will be in the future? If a husband beats his wife was the husband raised in violence or was the violence passed down from biological source? Now before people can pick a side people must know what each side means. Nature represents the gene aspect of life. Like the genes a person gets from their biological parents. Nature usually makes a difference in someones height, appearances, and sometimes health. There are something's that nature does take over like hair color, eye color, blood type, and family diseases. Nurture in the other hand represents the environment of life. In other words nurture is the organism's family (people that raise them) and surroundings like what city a person is raised in or what
Nature or Nurture? It is a very difficult question to answer, because some people think people born the way they will act later in life. Others think it is the environment and who they live with is what affects they way they behave later. So is it genes or environment?
“Modern science wields dozens of senses. And scientists do not claim these to be the expression of special powers, just special hardware. In the end, of course, the hardware converts the information gleaned from these extra senses into simple tables, charts, diagrams, or images that our inborn senses can interpret.” -Mr. Neil deGrasse Tyson, accomplished astrophysicist and director of the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History.
For a long time, psychologist has debated whether your behavior is a product of nature or nurture. Although their seems to be no set in stone evidence as to exactly where our behavior comes from, many scientists believe that it comes from nature. While there are still others that believe that your behavior acts comes from nurture. I personally think that the way you act is a combination of both. People are all created with different personality traits, drives and goals. Therefore we are given the opportunity to either use nature and or nurture in a positive way or a negative way.
Nature versus Nnurture is the most argued topic between Psychologists and Scientists worldwide. Those who believe in the nurture aspect think that people acquire their behaviors from their environment and surroundings. Those who believe that genetics are the reason we are who we are argue the nature perspective. Both sides have valid arguments but I tend to agree with the Nnurture theory. I believe that you acquire your personality traits from your parents, siblings, and other people who are an active part of your life. Kids are always trying to act like their parents. I remember when my girls were little and they used to go in my closet and put on my jewelry and heels and pretend to be me. They were imitating what they saw every day of their life. That isn’t something that they were born with. It is an acquired trait.
Critically discuss the view that nature and nurture are responsible for human development. The aim of this essay is to critically discuss and evaluate how nature and nurture are responsible for human development, using personality. In this essay it will examine the argument views of various psychological theories. The conclusions will be derived in respect of how the two views are used to explain the onset of human behaviour in particular.
