Electrical Safety Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 requires people in control of electrical systems to ensure they are safe to use and maintained in a safe condition. Use of multiple extension cables may result to electricity overload which may lead to fire. Use of tools and Equipment Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 requires that equipment provided for use at work, including machinery, is safe. Regular inspection of tools and equipment are already being done in the site as part of their daily work routine. However, worn-out or damaged tools are still visible in the worksite. Conclusions Overall, the company is able to maintain a satisfactory standard and compliance in Health and Safety. Most of the hazards found could be immediately be rectified by simple maintenance and tidying up of the area. This is a very low cost practice which in turn could improve the Health and Safety of the workforce. Management shows commitment and responsibility to ensure that the company is providing a safe and effective working environment to its employees, clients, and subcontractors. Cooperation and participation to health and safety among its workforce is very evident. The continuous cooperation between the Management and its workforce will definitely be the biggest factor to achieve excellence in its health and safety
