The newborn and infant physical examination, NIPE, is performed by a qualified NIPE practitioner (Department of Health, DoH, 2015; Public Health England, PHE, 2013), within the first seventy-two hours of an infant’s life. This screening consists of a head-to-toe examination of the infant, including, but not limited to: the heart; the eyes; and the hips. During the examination, the practitioner will take the time to promote good health and wellbeing of the infant, by teaching the family how to identify signs of a well and unwell infant (Someren, 2013). The intention of the examination is to assess whether the infant has any congenital abnormalities (DoH, 2015; PHE, 2013). The NIPE is a developmental examination which is replicated between six and eight weeks after the infant’s birth, to screen for congenital disorders that become prominent in their physiology within this time period.

The purpose of this letter is to serve as my initial inquiry as to whether an issue I feel strongly about is appropriate as an Alaska State ballot initiative. My proposal would be to put on the ballot for the citizens of Alaska whether or not they should be bound by the agreement under the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act (UCCJEA). My concern is that the UCCJEA sounds good in theory, but in practice is hopelessly flawed due to the different ethical and legal standards which the courts of various states uphold. The UCCJEA does not elevate the standards of the inferior courts, rather it brings the best of states down to the lowest ethical level of the worst state in the agreement. The citizens of Alaska should not forfeit their rights

When speaking to the Mrs. Smith about family and family structure I mainly focused on the concepts of where they live and the effects it has on their family. This involves their country, current residence, topology, economics, politics, education and occupation (NASN, 2013). Such topics give an inside look in regards to certain diseases and health factors that are more prominent to or more acceptable to the population in that region and area of residence. As well as this, these concepts allow the more in depth in understanding of diet, mental diseases, economic standing, and the families degree of assimilation or acculturation if there is any. I asked Mrs. Smith where she was born and if she and her family have lived anywhere else. Her family is originally from Poland and

It appears that, families and children didn’t require as much time to adjust to reintegration as much as the families did in Bobriene’s (2014) study. It may be that all families and children handle reintegration differently and some may require more time than others. The results in Boberiene’s (2014) study is similar to what Chandra (2009) had
On his way home, Nnaemeka is thinking about how he is going to confront his father. The fact that he cares so much about his father’s reaction tells us that he has great respect for his father. We even see that he at one point feels kind of bad for his father, who has put an effort into finding a girl for him. This respect is also reflected in the conversation between Nnaemeka and his father. Nnaemeka finds it hard to tell his father about the situation with Nene, especially because of his father’s lack of understanding of which we see several examples through the text. A very good example is on page 2, line 14, when Nnaemeka wants to talk with his father about “the marriage question” and his father replies “Which marriage question?”. In this quote we see that in the father’s opinion Nnaemeka has no other option than to marry Ugoye, nothing needs to be discussed. Nnaemeka on the other hand, finds it impossible to marry someone that he does not love, but when he tells his father that he does not love Ugoye, he simply answers, “Nobody said you did. Why should you?”(p.2 l.19) at this point his father makes it clear that
The final planetary frontier of the Solar System was crossed by only one human made machine: Voyager 2. After a rendezvous with Uranus, the spacecraft was able to peer into Neptune’s system as it gathered new information about the planet’s unique traits. The data provided scientists with newer understandings, from which more specified questions were formed. As a result, the study of the planet exploded with new ideas about Neptune and the rest of the Solar System (Morgan). During the Voyager 2 flyby of the planet, the Neptunian system was discovered to have characteristics previously unknown to humans.
