Netherland Case Study

The word democracy has two major meanings: a government by the people who are the majority, and also it can refer to a government in which the ultimate power is given to the people who directly or indirectly exercises it via a system of representation and usually involves free and fair elections. Democracy refers to a government created through elected representatives. Democracy in the society favors equal rights and believes in the freedom of speech as well as the view of the minority groups in the society. Democracy is based on the principles of the rule of majority and rights of individuals. A democratic society is where all government levels are made accessible to the people (Jensen & Romanowski 30).

The idea of democracy is the power of the people that they have democratic rights such as the doctrine of democracy and the freedom of expression. In a complete democratic society, everyone is born equal. People not only have power in democracy but also have a responsibility to the society. In addition, democracy relates with Constitutions and election. There are a lot of democracy societies except the United States. As a democratic country, the United States and Canada have similar political and rules, but still have differences.

A democracy is a system of government where the people have the power to decide how they will be ruled or managed. Democracies date back to Ancient Greece and come in different types. These include direct democracies and representative democracies. Australia and Indonesia are two countries that are considered democratic. They are both similar in the ways they govern and the rules set in their constitutions. Australia and Indonesia's system of government are similar as they both consist of a separation of powers, lower and upper house and they are both representative democracies.

Democracy is a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, and is one with representative institutions and a rule of law.

Democracy, as it is used today, means “ the people rule.” A democracy is a form of government ruled by the people of the country through elections and representation. A democracy is really a form of republic known as a democratic republic. A republic is a government where officials elected by a small group of people that make the important decisions.

New Netherlands is known for many poor conditions. Adriaen Van Der Donck described the reasons for this and soon became a document known as the “Representation of New Netherland.” One reason was the persistent issue of a bad government most particularly the incompetent administration of Kieft. Director General Stuyvesant was also blamed for the bad government. This is because he was unable to fix the fort at New Amsterdam and was described as “a molehill or a tottering wall, on which there is not one gun-carriage or one piece of cannon in a suitable frame or on a good platform.” He was also seen as a tyrant who baited his opponents constantly by asking their advice and the exploding on them. Democracy, while imperfect, is the system of ruling prevalent in vast tracks of the world. Despite this, democracy is not a uniform system with every country practicing its democracy in slightly unique ways.

Democracy is when the whole population are all members of the state for the government. Which means all people have equal rights. Nobody is less than another.

The marketing and branding can resonate to different parts of the country by continuously including their focus on those traits of whimsy and fun and of course sustainability. The sustainability is important when finding locations so New Belgium would have to make sure that is an important factor to reach out to other parts of the country. The fun, folly, and whimsical imaged of the NBB brand was strengthened through advertisements. Unlike its much larger domestic brand competitors, NBB did not continue television advertising but believed that its brand image and culture were well suited for social media (Ferrell & Hartline, 2014).

North and South America are now virtually a hemisphere of democracy; Africa is experiencing democratic reform; and new, democracies have taken root in Asia. Democracy may be a word familiar to most, but it is a concept still misunderstood and misused. Freedom and democracy are often used to mean the same thing, but they are not the same. People in democracy have many rights. This form of government isn’t just for the government, it helps the people. Also how democratic leaders are elected.

It encompasses social, economic and cultural conditions that enable the free and equal practice of political self-determination.

Democracy varies in every country depending on the type of government or regime they have. There is the liberal democracy, which is all about giving people their rights and liberties; everything is done through fair voting and electing. The people are aware of everything that happens in their government. Illiberal democracies are basically the same as liberal, but the people in power are more secretive of their activities, and there is less civil liberty. It is essentially a partial democracy. Now Authoritarian regimes designate any political system that concentrates power in the hands of one leader or a small elite. There are no free elections and very little regard for the law. Political institutions, social structures, and the democratic rule of law all affect liberal, illiberal, and authoritarian regimes democratic quality differently.

This study is to collect information about The Netherlands from multiple sources. I will gather information from interviewing my cousins that are Dutch and live in several different towns in Amsterdam. We will discuss topics such as wages, employment, sales, and benefits. This will all help discovering new business aspects of another country and if it’s worth wild to expand abroad. It will also benefit me personally, since my wonderful Oma Rika is originally from Zwolle, Netherlands. Specifically, you will learn the answers to these questions:
