Without Him I Would of Never Knew Growing up I had a role model. He is the most inspirational person I have ever had the chance of meeting. He took care of me when I was sick or when my parents would have to work late into the night, and honestly I am proud to say that this inspirational person is my older brother, Trey Hampton. Not only has my brother been there for me through thick and thin he even managed to introduced me to one of my greatest passions. My brother was a typical jock in high school and he even started out playing football for the Jay Bulldogs. It wasn’t in till his sophomore year in high school that he admitted he despised football and all he wanted to do was join the wrestling team. That fateful not only changed my brother’s life, but it also …show more content…
The joy in his eyes though made the hours we had to wait worth it. Watching my older brother out there in the center of mat fighting for a victory made my heart swell with pride, even when he lost. I fell in love with the sport. It never happened to cross my mind to actually join the team, however; I did the next best thing. When I was only twelve years old I joined the wrestling program the only way I thought I could. I became what my school calls a “Mat-Maid”. However, being so young I still could not help the team as much as I wanted to. I worked concussion stands and helped fundraiser that was it. It wasn’t in till my freshman year in high school that I learned what being a Mat-Maid truly means. When I became a high school Mat-Maid I was entrusted with a whole new list of responsibility's. Gone were the old days of working concussion stands at tournaments, that year I got promoted to a table worker. I learned how to manage a score book, how to record time, and I learned the sport from a perspective that I never thought I would get the opportunity
My family was a foster family, and that meant that I became a role-model at a young age. Our first foster placement, Derek, came into my room one evening with tears in his eyes asking me for help with his homework. I had testing at school the next day but that evening, I sat at the table for 3 hours to help him understand every concept in his English packet- that was the evening that I knew I wanted to become a teacher.
Who is a role model in your life? What have they done to impact you? In “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” by Ken Kesey, we meet Randle McMurphy, a young man who tests the limits of Nurse Ratched and causes a change to the everyday life of the patients from the mental hospital. Throughout the book, McMurphy was a role model for the other patients. They saw him as a leader and quickly followed in his footsteps.
From my earliest memories school sports have been a part of my life. When I was in elementary school I watched my older siblings play basketball, football, baseball, and even male cheerleading. I couldn’t wait for my chance to play on a team, and make a difference. I have been very fortunate to be a part of many great teams at Mandan. I have grown and developed not only as an athlete, but also a person through the athletic programs. Sports have taught me to be accountable, to show up on time, to work hard, to practice, and to push myself to the best of my abilities. They have made me mentally and physically stronger than I ever thought possible and taught me to help push other members to be the best they can possibly be.

Most of my life I was consumed with the sport of gymnastics. I remember the rush I would get as it was my turn to compete in front of the cheering crowd. In those moments nothing else mattered; just me, the chalk on my calloused hands and the equipment in front of me. I have competed in gymnastics ever since I was five years old. I spent six days a week in the gym practicing all year round and even volunteered part of my time to a community program teaching gymnastics to children. Gymnastics had a tremendous role in shaping me into the person I am today and it is what also lead me to want to become a Physician Assistant.
Hip-hop has been around for several years and is still popular today. It has developed into both a cultural movement as well as a musical genre. Hip- hop is comprised of rap, graffiti, breakdancing, rapping and beatboxing (Soeparno 1). It has emerged from something so small into something so important in our lives that we need to understand how hip-hop began by recognizing the artists who started it all as well as how the style has changed to what it is today.

Idols, role models, heroes: These are the people that we all look up to. As Christopher Reeve, who played the role of Superman in various movies, once said, “a hero is an ordinary individual who finds strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.” Throughout my life I have had multiple heroes, for a multitude of reasons. Helen Keller, for her ability to persevere despite the fact that she was both blind and deaf and yet was able to positively impact others. Amelia Earhart, for her bravery as the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. Heidi Berry Krahn, for her incredible strength in times of hardship and her dedication and sacrifice as the founder and executive director of the Center for Animal Research and Education. People look up to their heroes, look up to their many attributes and accomplishments, and aspire to be like them. I have one hero that stands above all the rest, one that does all of the things my other
My brother inspired me by always going above and beyond, for example, he was on the High school robotics team(Vi-Bots) which inspired me to join the Middle school robotics team(Jr. Vi-Bots.) Also, him being in advanced/AP classes inspired me to do better in school and really care what grades I had/got in school. He inspired me, but he also leads me through the things' life threw at me.
There’s one famous person that comes to mind who represents myself as a good role model and that person is Jim Carrey. He played in one movie, which is called Liar Liar, and to this day the movie has always held a strong meaning to me. The movies he has played in has always brought me joy and laughter. Jim has throughout the years stood up for many causes and is an avid supporter of charities. These are the reasons why I look up to Jim Carrey as a role model.
My role model of faith is my mom’s good friend from college, Cindi Nappi. We treat each other like family . I consider her my Aunt which is why I call her Aunt Cindi. Not only does she treat me with respect, but she treats everyone else around her with respect too. Aunt Cindi is my role model of faith because 20 years ago she adopted a baby girl from Russia whom she named Hannah.
Hops are most commonly associated with beer, however, hops have a long history of different uses in the field of herbal medicines and botanical treatment. I was first introduced to the actual sport of wrestling when I was in Wisconsin last year. Every year my family and I go to Wisconsin to visit family and friends. One of my cousins Cameron and I started wrestling, he was impressed that I was able to beat him because he had been wrestling for more than nine years and I had never wrestled before. During this school year I was apart of the legacy marching band. That program took up a lot of my time (14 hours a week), now after the marching season was completed I didn't know what to do with all that extra time. I decided to look into doing a winter sport, wrestling was the sport that stood out most to me. Another reason I wanted to be apart of the wrestling team is because my dad wrestled for his high school when he was my age and he said he loved it. Now after being apart of the wrestling team for almost a month now I have learned that I love it too. Because I have developed a love for wrestling I decided I wanted to research more about many different aspects of this amazing
Everyone has at least one role model; others may have more than one. Do you have a role model that you look up to? Leonardo Da Vinci is my role model. He’s known for being many things such as a painter, inventor, geologist, and much more. Who said that you’re role model has to be alive? If someone inspires you to become them, you should choose that person.
