This inspired me to teach. The teachers I have had who stand out in my memory have some attributes in common: they presented their subjects in a way that caught my interest, clarified difficult topics and led me through complex areas, and put knowledge into context so that its relevance was apparent I’m looking to continue into Education Administrator. Academic and Professional Communities
Two of the academic and professional communities are available to me would be the
Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) and Learning Forward. Both, in my opinion, is a global leader in developing and delivering innovative programs, products, and services that empower educators to support the success of each learner. The ASCD provides expert and innovative solutions in professional development, capacity building, and educational leadership essential to the way educators learn, teach, and lead. ASCD members have many roles, such as teacher, principal, superintendent, central office administrator, professor, or anyone with a passion for education with one goal: ensuring the success of every child. No matter your budget, schedule, or experience level, ASCD has a membership level that is right for you. (ASCD, 2016). Learning Forward build the capacity of leaders to establish and sustain highly effective professional learning. As I believe all educators have an obligation to improve their practice and professional learning that improves educator effectiveness is fundamental to student learning. (Forward Learning,
The school has a responsibility to keep the work place for all employees and students safe. The school carries out regular assessments and they provide the appropriate training to the staff for example first aid training. There are many pioneers who have shaped today’s classrooms, but several have been significant contributors.
It helped me to have a broader view in my field of competency and to find new ideas from people who shared their own.
The second principle in support of educational philosophy is that educators should allow the student’s natural curiosity to steer his or her learning for personal development. It is significant that students have the opportunity to study things
Every member of staff in the school has a responsibility to keep the children safe and well
My name is Johan Garel, MSCMSc, I am a physician assistant and I want to serve my country. As prior military, I have firsthand experience of serving my country. Honor, respect, dependability, hard work, and responsibility are a few of the attributes I honed while serving. The United States Navy will definitely provide me ample opportunity to grow in these area and lead.
Throughout my high school career, I have been involved in the MCJROTC Raider Battalion. This program has greatly developed my leadership abilities and my ability to use leadership to benefit the whole unit instead of just myself. This is where JROTC really made me a better leader – it honed my ability to lead as part of a team. This year, I am the
Throughout my military career I have had the distinguished opportunity to work with some of the Army's finest officers. My last platoon leader in particular, LT Adams, was a major influence in my decision to pursue a career as an officer. There was always something about the way he carried himself. He was the symbol of integrity and confidence and truly lived the Army Values. With the help of his impeccable leadership I was able to achieve feats not many have. I was able to attend and graduate the United States Army Sniper School, an honor not bestowed upon many. I truly contribute my successes at that school, and others like it, to the guidance given to me by LT Adams. In coming to this realization, I now am confident and motivated to give
Since I was young, it wasn’t a firefighter or an astronaut that I dreamed of becoming, it was a member of the United States military. As I matured, only one branch held my attention: the Army. I’ve wanted to give back to this country that has given so much to me with just three words - life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, the inalienable rights. I want to give back and do so as a representative of the most highly acclaimed service academy, to be a part of the tradition of excellence that has shaped our country.
I am Charles Herring, born in Lufkin Texas October 12, 1983. I joined the ARMY in 2005. Most people have or have had a teacher that has inspired them. For me, the teacher that comes to mind is Mr. Rod Edson. There are many great things that describe Mr. Edson, but a few stand out to me more than others. Mr. Edson has inspired me in many ways because he has a great sense of humor, he is laid-back, and he is motivational.
For instance I was able to get so much more perspective into other cultures, including my own. It has helped me to realize that even the smallest things can have a large effect on history. I enjoyed learning about things that otherwise I wouldn’t seek out to learn on my own. The chapters in the book I favorite were Beer and Coke-Cola. I enjoyed beer because the chapter made a lot of sense and I enjoyed learning about the early civilizations. I was able to understand why beer was so popular. I liked learning about Mesopotamia mostly because once farming was brought about all of these new and extremely important technological advances continued. I enjoyed Coco-Cola the most because I love US history particularly the twentieth century, I also love the drink. I knew that Coca- Cola was very important to America, what I didn’t know was how much. I read about the letters from World War Two and was shocked to see how vital it truly was. I thought it was interesting that other countries associated Coke immediately with the United States, making it Americas drink and an extremely recognizable
I, Marshall Tollie Weldon, am originally from Franklinton, North Carolina. Prior to graduating from Franklinton High School during 2012, I swore into the United States Navy in 2011. My goal was to become a corpsman for the four years of my contract, but due to the overdemand for that occupation I was reassigned the job of an Aviation Electrician’s Mate. During my first year in the military, I underwent training at Naval Air Station Pensacola from 2012 to 2013, and was given orders to Naval Station Norfolk for the remainder of my enlistment. While at the command VAW-120, I quickly acquired all the qualifications for my job and became a shift supervisor from August 2013 to June 2016. After three years of working at this command, I received the
Furthermore, I learned to think more critically about related concepts and theories. In a class discussion, we learned that a leader is not required to be all knowing in order to be a strategic mobilizer. However, if leaders do not have, at least, familiarity with the process of accomplishing tasks, they can be misled
