In the note-taking quiz, my first and fifth answers were correct that the abuse of women and girls is the number one abuse of human rights on the earth and the official of the universities are not taking care of the women to protect them from sexual assault. The first question was a main idea of Jimmy Cater talking because he repeated a few times this main idea in his speech. The fifth answer was an issue of the U.S. because Carter explained this sexual assault problem with using two examples such as the military and college campuses. I think that students are often required to answer the detail information, but main idea is also important to grasp the whole. However, my second, third, and forth answers were not completed because I answered
It is extremely important that the Learner / group clearly articulate what the problem / situation is to the class. It is essential that the
Construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others- it’s important for students to be able to explain and be able to discuss the process into which they believe a problem should be solved this demonstrates the students understanding on the concept. They should be able to clarify and answer any questions that arise about the problem once again displaying a deeper understanding then just being able to memorize formulas/steps and solving a problem.
On the topic of sexual assault on campuses, Catherine Lhamon, Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights and James Moore, Compliance Manager of the Clery Act discussed ways to further combat sexual assault on college campuses. Lhamon and Moore focused on the improvements made to the reporting of sexual assault, positive changes made to the judicial proceedings on campuses, and the improved punishment of perpetrators. The members of the committee hearing did not deny the importance of combating sexual assault. However, members did disagree on the methods to effectively decrease sexual assault and increase overall reporting of victims. Members disagreed the most on the enforcement mechanism, which was made more controversial by the differences in opinion on the accuracy of reporting, and the guidance authority of the Department of Education. This ballot will address the panel discussion on these
For this week, I was required to read chapter 5, 6, and 7 in the "A history of the personal computer: the people and the technology " online book. This week's reading was much more easier and understandable than last week's readings. These chapters were about computer companies in the 1970s and what they did. It was interesting to read about these computer companies' humble beginnings. It was especially interesting because the two biggest computer companies right now, Microsoft and Apple, were so thoroughly covered in the chapters. Aside from that, I was able to read about flow charting by Bill Streib, who did a great job in explaining it. Even though the paper was mostly filled with pictures and diagrams, it was still a good read. I was also able to read about pseudo code, and find out about it's advantages and disadvantages. After reading and testing pseudo code and flowcharts, I feel that I would be more in the pseudo code camp. Personally pseudo code is easier for me.
\item The teachers always want their lessons to be interesting and they introduce the real life problem before they can go deep into the content of the subject.

For this week's team meeting as usual we met up on Google Hangouts. We went over task 1 regarding sexual violence against women. I particularly found article b to be very interesting. Just a few weeks ago I actually attended a screening session for one of my other psychology classes. The documentary film we watched was called, "The Hunting Ground" and was about rape in college campuses. I felt very strongly about this film because in many instances, college administrators would ignore women who filed being sexually assaulted on campus because they wanted to keep rape statistics low. In the documentary film it also mentioned how most sexual assault cases were committed by the victim's acquaintance or friend. Which also related to article a,
In the practice of teaching, it is the responsibility of a teacher not only to teach students subject matter, but to teach students in order to enable them to grow and develop as a person. While it is essential for students to have an understanding of academic material, it is also equally as important that when students finish their education they have skills to use in
Today I will discuss the prevalence of sexual assault on college campuses and the lack of enforcement from law officials and college administration to bring an end to the problem, and how to prevent it.

I never knew how essential reading and writing was until this class. Yes, we all hear how good reading is for you and how important it is but, I never really understood why. I have learned a lot during my time in this course. From not only concrete material but about myself as well. The most important things that stick out in my brain though when I’m asked what have I learned is: being confident in my writing, reading and writing is an essential key to life, and that being venerable doesn’t mean weak. Starting with being confident in my writing. Being confident with your writing believe and put your best foot forward when it comes to writing any type of paper or speech. For someone like me who hated writing essay or any type of writing assignment
Do you have a study plan for this course? If not, you should have one.

In Walker Percy’s “A Short Quiz” he identifies 10 different “selves” that each person falls under and questions the reader to find which self he or she identifies with. The self that I was able to identify with the most was the autonomous self. The autonomous self is an independent thinker and has a sovereign conscience. Instead of having a herd mentality the autonomous self’s beliefs and actions are based on his or her own analysis. I can relate to this because I have freed myself from the belief system of Christianity due to formal and self-education. In many ways I am the autonomous one.
