My favorite chapter in OADM 105 class was chapter seven which was about Customer Service. All information provided in this chapter was very beneficial and interesting to me. The learning objectives and develop workplace skills were interesting and easy to do with understandable facts included. Learning objectives covered the whole chapter with only a few questions which we could save the time and get the whole point of the chapter easily. The reason I liked this chapter the most was that I worked in the customer service in the past; therefore, I wanted to learn more the skills I did not know in the past. In this chapter, I found out new and some known information about customer service. For instance, who are the external and internal customer,
In Chapter 8 it talked mostly, in my opinion talked about group work. One of the things the chapter brought up was about conversations with customers and how important it is to both designers and customers. As soon as I started reading this I thought about interacting with people at two of my past jobs. It was so important in my job to talk to customers because, we not only wanted customers to buy products, but we also wanted them to have a great experience.
OD Consultant CLOs: 1,2. Due by Day 7. Write a two- to three-page paper (excluding the title and reference pages) defining the various components of the roles and styles of Organizational Development Consultants (ODC). As a Para, I have to take a class with our ELL students so I can interpret for them in the event they cannot understand something. Although the teacher in this specific class is a great teacher, in my opinion, his communication skills are frightening the kids. Last week the students got the results of the last test and most of the kids did not do well. His speech went on for almost twenty minutes, telling the kids how upsetting it was to have such bad scores when everything is provided to them; that they needed to pay more attention to the class and do their homework, etc.…. during this time his face turned red, and his body language became stiff. He repeated himself over and over again. It was so bad; I wanted to run out of the class
To be perfectly honest my recollection of Comp 121 is a little foggy, i took the course roughly a year and a half ago and during my first semester and it was one of my first college level courses. From what i can recall it was a interesting and enjoyable, The professor Jacob Sherlock is no longer with the school, but was a professional writer along with a life-long lover and student of the written word. We regularly discussed current events and the class wide give and take of various ideas and viewpoints was truly enlightening and are easily amongst my most enjoyable and memorable college experiences. In particular i vibrantly recall a passionate debate on gun-control which was to be frank, dominated by a extremely Conservative former Army
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone and especially people in the customer service industry. Working with people all of the time can be frustrating and this is a great book to show you how you can make a difference working with people. That is one of the most importance lessons in this book – that every day you can make a difference in the world. This is something that is easy to forget when you get wrapped up in budgets, spreadsheets, and meetings but it is very important. Remembering something as small as this can make a huge difference in both your life and others
Upon reflection of the FYE 105 course material from this semester I realized there have been many techniques I have been able to improve or learn new strategies for academic success in the pursuit of lifelong learning. After being out of a traditional school for over twenty years, my academic success strategy began with obtaining a rhythm of life and school. Once I developed and implemented a good personal time management routine that allowed ample time for the many competing activities life brings, I was on course for success in achieving my goals. One aspect of this class that had a significant impact on my academic success was modifying the way I took notes to include all essential information in an easy to read and review format. I will be able to use the notetaking and time management techniques I have learned this semester in not only all future courses but in any environment requiring detailed notes and strict time management to ensure success.
I am honored to be in ASB this year and enjoy making a difference in the school and being a leader, and I’m looking forward to making a bigger difference next year at the school. I have learned numerous tips on how to be a leader by writing essays and showing what we learned in different committees in ASB and in our larger world. Throughout my year in ASB I learned how to be a better leader, and because of that I used these skills to make the school a better place to be in and a more amusing and exciting place to go to school.
I have played in the Elite Club National league in Arizona for 4 years which implies a lot of traveling most weekends. ECNL is a step above State league, allowing us to play the hardest teams in the Nation. Each week we practice a minimum of 3 times a week for 2 to 3 hours a day and play 2 games each weekend. Many of our games however require us to go out of State. Taking away hours of our time for driving and eating out.
As my freshman year comes to a end, I have learned a lot of new subjects and skills. I I’ve went through ups and downs with grades and friends around me. But I have had a wonderful time dealing with my peers that are right for me. And teachers that I have learned to trust. Many of my classes have taught me multiple things to take with me through highschool, but my AVID class have really impacted me for my freshamn year and taught new skills and life lessons that I can carry through my whole life. There are many words I can say about AVID but tthere are three things stick out to me that I will carry with me; always stay organized, be a leader among my peers, and don’t be afraid to try new things.
Writing may come naturally for some people, but for me, it does not. This class will be challenging- as it is a college course- but that does not mean that I am not going to try my best to receive an A, and meet all of the expectations this semester. Even with it not coming naturally, I do know tasks that improve my writing, like being able to analyze the purpose, audience, and rhetorical strategies used by other writers (syllabus 2). In my AP Language class I took last year the concept of being able to come up with those three things was heavily stressed; therefore, we did multiple practice worksheets and wrote essays where we would have to come up with those things. On page 3 in the guidebook, it says that we should know how to write and
Module five had a lot of familiar concepts that I’ve become accustomed with during my brief time in the Air Force. For many of these concepts, I was able to get a more in-depth look into how they are applied. One item I really took away from the module reading was the budget process and how the different quarterly cycles work. Another process I learned a lot about was the Budget Execution Review and how to properly forecast funding shortfalls. These items are currently not in my day-to-day operations, but will be in my near future.
I currently do not have any additional information to add onto my TMDSAS application nor do I have any alterations to my proposed coursework or graduation date. On my TMDSAS application, I have placeholder courses listed for the Spring 2017 semester as I have not registered for courses for Spring 2017 yet. For that semester, if scheduling works out, I plan to take a Seniors Honors Reading Course to earn my Collegium V and Biology Honors, Molecular Biology Lab, 2 Honors Courses (one in Neuroscience and the other in a Sociology course), and an Upper Level Biology Elective.
Due to the events that occurred in November of 2015 (my freshman year); where the floor RA opened up my dorm room front door and saw a couple empty wine bottle on my dining room table that I was collecting I was required to partake in the aspire program. A program that entails me to attend three sessions with a school psychologist in order to discuss the incident, my alcohol consumption and my over all well being. As well as a one to two page reflection on how this program has affected me.
As I walked into the first Cornerstone class of the semester on August 20, 2015, I believed it was going to be a breeze. I asked myself “What could I possibly obtain from this?”, and truthfully I assumed the answer would be, slim to none. However, my expectations could not have been any further from the reality. During the Cornerstone course, I was able to attain certain assets that I did not already possess. Out of the many topics and ideas discussed throughout the course, the three most influential have been: True Colors the Go, Picture, Scribe and Dr. Tawils’ speeches about life.
My experience with ADP has been terrific. My co-workers were very helpful, friendly, and understanding. When working with people you enjoy, work doesn’t seem like work. At ADP, there’s energy in the air. My ADP co-workers love their jobs and that created an ideal work environment for me this summer.
