Being in the medical field in general is difficult to get into, but although it is hard there are many perks in being a OBGYN, registered nurse, benefits such as paid leave, mandatory time off and sick leave. OBGYN would help deliver babies, take care of patient and do many more other things in their 8-12 hour shift. They can even work overtime and paid hourly, but in this job a person would need to have great personality, talkative, a leader, and organization skills. I wanted to become an OBGYN because of my dad and my grandma and because I have had hands on work in the hospital I do believe I am a good fit to be an OBGYN. I still intend to pursue this job because it has become my goal in life.
Mayella Ewell, a young white woman was responsible for playing during Tom Robinson's trial. She was the woman of lonesome and lower class who seeked attention. Her lifestyle was as an unstable home in which she grew up to play mama and raise her seven younger siblings. From time to time she was often used as an abused sexual intercourse item by her junkie father. Since Tom was of African American, made of the used to power against time to cover up the fact that she was being physically and verbally abused by her father. Therefore, since Mayella was of white race, her word against Tom was worthy enough to encourage the jury that he had raped and physically abused her. Mayella was a character hidden behind her own father’s shadow. She never had

Rochester's Pre-College Programs will help make me better because the Mini Medical School would further my knowledge of medical careers. As a current high school junior I have explored multiple careers, but I came to a conclusion last year that I would like to be a pediatrician. Last year I participated in the STEP program at the University of Rochester to decide if a medical career was a good fit for me. STEP opened my eyes to all the qualifications needed for my choice career, and taught me how to work with others on medical subjects. As well as present to large groups of people, and working with others. I really enjoyed my summer at the STEP program, and received a scholarship into the Mini Medical School program. Even though I received

Not too long ago, the term Cesarean Section would strike fear into the heart's of expecting mothers because of the number of risks involved with the surgery and not to mention the ghastly scar it leaves behind. Today, however, physicians give their patients the option to go through with natural delivery or chose a natural delivery. This may be due to the increase in celebrity trends or because women are having babies later in life and advanced maternal age comes into play when making the decision. Regardless of the increase of this type of delivery, one thing remains true, it is surgery and the

There are many types of nursing careers you can decide to take, the type of nursing career I chose is an OB/GYN nurse. OB/GYN is used as an abbreviation for the actual name of this career. The “OB” is short for obstetrics or for an obstetrician, which is a physician who specializes in delivering babies. “GYN” is short for gynecology or for gynecologist, which is a physician who specializes in treating diseases which develop in the female reproductive system. Therefore an OB/GYN Nurse is a type of nurse who helps deliver babies and which also helps treat diseases of the female reproductive system. An OB/GYN nurse can be in the delivery room helping out the doctor when the baby is born, or the nurse can also, while the patient is pregnant, take vital signs and do ultrasounds. OB/GYN nurses help women during pregnancy, labor, and childbirth. They also help women with health issues in their reproductive system.
In today’s era, new moms to be have developed different opinions about birthing techniques. Some strongly demand for a vaginal delivery, some wish to opt for C-sec just to avoid labor pains and many more. All these opinions are based on several myths and facts associated with delivery patterns. Doctors guide the patients the correct delivery pattern based on several factors most important being the maternal and fetal health. Following are some myths associated with caesarian section and their reality:

There are many professions which involve caring for people, but one that really intrigues me is anesthesiology. The primary job of an anesthesiologist is to give anesthesia to the patient as well as monitor the patient’s vitals. This monitoring does not just occur before and after the surgery, but the anesthesiologist should be present during the surgery to ensure the health and comfort of the patient (“General Information on Anesthesiologists”). Although this jobs seems simple at first glance, there is much more beyond the surface of an anesthesiologist.
As a child, I was always curious about how the process of delivering a baby worked. Whenever I would go to see relatives in the hospital I would wander off looking for the "baby department", and never be allowed in to see anyone giving birth. Then, my pregnant cousin moved in with us. She was pregnant and in need of help with preparing for the baby to come. I got to help her during her 9 months of carrying the baby and being there to see her water break was the most fascinating yet traumatizing thing ever. I got to see what the baby looks like when it is first born and how the doctors take care of the baby after it comes out. It really opened my eyes to that area of Health Careers and helped influence me to want to become an OB/GYN (obstetrician-gynecologists). Choosing this career field will not only let me do a job I 've been dreaming of since I was young , but it will also allow me to give the support to people in need of help. I will be able to positively impact people 's lives every day and put smiles on people 's faces whenever I can. I also will be able to attend a "Birthday party" every day! I can help couples/individuals in the process of creating the most precious thing , life. I think my personality fits well with this career. I am very caring and can connect with people easily . I do also have a good understanding of what I have to do to become an OB/GYN.This career field will allow me to make great money , help others and connect with people personally
Throughout my life I have had the honor and privilege of helping people whenever the opportunity presented itself. After college, I aspire to become an Obstetric Surgeon; specialize in Fetal Surgery. When I was in the fifth grade my entire class did a project on what we all wanted to be. Upon my research, I discovered the entity of a surgeon. I knew from that moment on that it was the career for me.
