A big reason that people don’t want to move to an online school is the big change. It is a lot of work to switch from public brick and mortar to online! Rick Hess stated,”The previous spending on new technology hasn’t improved student learning experiences!” Education should be taught face to face! The social aspect is gone. Some students also claim that they don’t want to feel that responsible for their work. In an environment like a school the purpose to be there is to work but at home, you can do anything. But as an online student, it really isn’t that much of a change! Grab a laptop, download a program or two, and you’re good to go! Will Erstad states,”Some courses also offer pre-recorded videos of the same lectures given to traditional, on-campus students. If you’re a social learner who likes to ask questions and pick the brains of your instructors, these video lectures can help you earn a deeper understanding of assigned reading materials.” As an online student, you still receive plenty of social time with other students as there are often online study sessions held. When you are struggling with a topic, you can communicate with a teacher or tutor at nearly any time. Once you figure it out you will develop an extreme sense of responsibility and management which will help you extremely in the future! You can find other videos also created throughout the internet related to nearly any topic you want to learn about.
Everyone has their own learning styles. Going to school online might not be cut out for a person that needs to be face to face with an instructor. Or a person that has to have on hands training might not want to attend an online campus. It’s a tough decision when you have to make this decision on how you want to continue with your education. An education is an education, so it’s better to have one than not to have one at all. So it all really boils down to you making that decision based on how you interpret your learning skills. For me, online is what fit in my current life style. It’s convenient, comfortable, and less expensive. The
If you have the drive to succeed, you can get just as much out of the online education as you can from a normal classroom.

There are others, like myself, who feel that online learning is better. The supporters of this back their claim by stating that online classes can be more beneficial for teachers and students. For example, fewer distractions in a classroom like other students disrupting class. Students can come into class late after the teacher has already started class and cause a disruption or talk during the class. With online classes the student can control their environment. This way there is less of a chance for the student to get confused on the assignment when the topic
In today’s society, so many people are continuing their education beyond high school. We realize that in order to make a decent living, a degree is most likely a requirement. In some cases even a bachelor’s degree is not enough to qualify for many positions. Nevertheless, thanks to technology, we now have the option to learn online or in a traditional classroom setting. There are very few differences between the two, and students need to understand that as much time and energy will need to be devoted to the online courses as on a campus. “A 2010 meta-analysis and review of online-learning studies concluded that online learning was as good as or slightly more effective than traditional face-to-face instruction” (Mendenhall, 2011).
In order for students to be able to take college courses online, they need some type of way to organize themselves and push themselves finish their work since their teachers really can’t (Bird). In a physical classroom, teachers are able to move around and be able to answers questions right then and there, but with online schooling students would have to wait a while to get a response from their teachers if they have questions (“Key”). Learning independently is very challenging, and students may become discouraged when they have to face challenges with learning online by themselves (Bejarano). Online learning would not be a good option for students that can’t self motivate and can’t focus

There may not be a suitable college in proximity so by taking online classes you save money by buying less gas. Also online classes will save the mileage and damage on your vehicle. If the college is a long distance away there will be more miles put on your vehicle, need to keep up better maintenance and more frequent oil changes. What I am saying it cost less to take online courses than it does to go to a junior college or university.
