I. INTRODUCTION
Opening Paragraph
A. Lead: Although many people may not realize, in Shakespearean plays, the soliloquies spoken by the characters may even be more important than the play itself.
B. Supporting Information: In the play, Hamlet, by William Shakespeare, the soliloquies spoken by Hamlet play an essential role. From each one, the reader discovers something new about Hamlet that they would not have known otherwise. The soliloquies in Hamlet are written for both amusement and educational purposes.
C. Thesis Statement: Although I believe that all of Hamlet’s soliloquies are important, I consider the first three to be of pivotal importance to the play.

POINT: In addition to noting how emotional the actors are, Hamlet reveals his plan to blindside his uncle by showing a play which closing resembles the King’s death.
F. PROOF: "I’ll have these players
Play something like the murder of my father
Before mine uncle. I’ll observe his looks.
I’ll tent him to the quick." (Act 2, Sc ii, Li 557-561)
G. COMMENT: Hamlet wants to see how his uncle with responded to Hamlets devilish ways. Additionally, Hamlet has asked the actors if he can include his own speech within the play, which will ultimately stop his uncle in his tracks.
Concluding Statement: Both of the actions that are revealed in this soliloquy are two of the most important events in the play.

III. CONCLUSION
Closing Paragraph
A. Restatement of thesis: In the play, Hamlet, I believe the first three soliloquies that Hamlet expresses are the most important in the play.
B. Review the key points: Within these soliloquies, Hamlet reveals how he truly feels about his mother and uncles new marriage. In addition, after meeting with the King's ghost, he learns how his father was really killed. Finally, Hamlet expresses how he plans to reveal his uncle regarding his father’s
