Have you ever seen doors open even though nobody was there? If you haven’t already guessed it these are some examples of paranormal activity. Good morning Ms. Bozzelli and fellow classmates, today I will be talking to you about paranormal activity, how they could be found, what they are capable of, and haunted locations. People always hear about ghosts and some maybe have witnessed one, however one common question is how are they spotted and what gadgets are used? One tool used to hunt ghosts is a ambient temperature sensor. This is used to indicate temperature changes and see if there are abnormal …show more content…
When you’ve visited this location, have you ever felt like there was the feel of energy or an extra presence with you? If you were asking yourself is the R.O.M haunted? The answer to that would be yes. The first owner of this museum was Charles Currelly, he worked at there for 35 years and retired in 1946. Charles passed away in 1957, however his spirit has not left the building. The museum workers have claimed that they have seen Charles wandering around on the main floor in a nightshirt. Also there has been a museum next door that is now closed because there was apparently a little girl's spirit who say with the live audience when shows were going on. Ghosts have been a controversial debate for a while now and there is no scientific proof to their existence. However many people so seem to have the belief they are out there. People have retold several stories and personal experiences proving that ghosts are a living thing. If it is proven in the future that the existence of ghosts are not real, it could be a good thing knowing that there is nothing harmful out after us. Although if ghosts do exist it would be cool to be able to communicate with the dead and have their spirits in our presence. Do you believe in

A child’s ghost haunts several rooms on the second floor of one of the buildings. It tugs on peoples’ clothing and its spectral laughter is heard. A woman’s ghost has tapped people on the shoulder and touched them. Books fall from shelves by themselves. Crystals hanging from a set of candlesticks move back and forth when there is no breeze to account for this.
Many people ask what are ghost. A ghost is an apparition of a dead person that is believed to appear or become manifest to the living, typically as a cloud/hazy image. They are all over the world and most likely in your own home. I have had my fair share of experiences with ghost. For example I was pushed down the stairs by a ghost and or I was not being careful. I was also with by brother and we heard footsteps and laughing upstairs when nobody was home except us. My brother had heard a demon and that's why I am a firm believer of the supernatural. You never know, you may have some experiences like me.
Situated on the outskirts of Louisville, KY sits a famous former tuberculosis hospital. Waverly Hills first became functional in July of 1910 when tuberculosis, or TB, was deadly and patients affected were isolated from the public. Because it is close to my small hometown of Carrollton, KY, Waverly is extremely well-known for its paranormal happenings. Throughout my life, I have always had a relatively strong belief in paranormal phenomenon. The idea of a paranormal encounter is often foreign until something unexplainable happens directly to you. Nearly everyone has had at least one experience where there is no rhyme or reason as to why or how it happened. My first trip to Waverly was in
Paranormal is the next big thing these days. We are not talking about Harry Potter or Percy Jackson or even Twilight! We have the aliens--a topic that is unique and new! But in here, it fit the part perfectly! In Monsters Due on Maple Street, a typical small town was faced with electricity loss or so they said. Because of that one event, words are spoken and the true color was revealed! In the end, Pete Van Horn has died. Charlie and many other have been hurt. The damages have been made. There are fairy tales like Snow White and Three Little Pigs in which we know who was behind all the crisis but in here only the audience knows. Not only that but that one cliffhanger of the mastermind behind this will lie forever unknown to Maple Street.
The fear of ghosts dates back around 2500 B.C. Mesoamerican tribes would create deities because of these fears. Some may believe that people who had died alone or improperly buried would return to haunt the living until they are properly buried. The concept of a spirit that would lead the dead so it would not trouble the living was based off their phasmophobia
I am testing the pseudoscience of haunted houses. In the history of the world there has been multiple reporting’s of haunted houses. The majority of these reporting’s have been about buildings in which tragic or violent events have happened. Locations include old penitentiaries, insane asylums, or houses where murders have occurred. In this experiment I propose a test after all other possible explanations have been canceled out. Such explanations include creepy sounds, unexplained drafts, and the like. These could be due to a leaky pipe, unstable foundations or even people’s own perceptions of things around them.
This article by Benjamin Radford expresses err in belief of the paranormal by presenting the argument that ghost hunters frequent mistakes in their investigations, thus rendering their results invalid. Any belief in ghost-like creatures cannot be considered as legitimate because the evidence is not legitimate. He claims that ghost hunting does not require any kind of professional license, so any results are a product of effectiveness rather than skill. Furthermore, when findings are interpreted, investigators tend to disregard any alternative explanation and heed to the emotions of the supposed victims, which injects bias into any evidence that is collected. In terms of collected evidence, Radford asserts that it is gained unscientifically
I found this to be interesting. I knew that lots of museums displayed many odd and unusual items especially history museums but I never knew there was a museum that had to do with the paranormal. Ed and Lorraine Warren are paranormal investigators and they chose to display items from their career of ghost-hunting and demon-busting in their own Occult Museum.
Ghosts, what are they and are they what Ghostbusters/TV shows makes us believe they are? We all know about “Casper the Friendly Ghost”, Ghostbusters, and the nowadays Ghost hunters, but what they are showing us? Is it fact or fake? And what does religion say about them? Are there really ghost or is it something much more complicated?
In light of Halloween and our recent discussion, I decided to make one my extra’s on if there is science behind paranormal experiences?
Scientists have studied the paranormal activities, but were never able to prove its existence. Yet many people believe in the paranormal because of religion and beliefs, media influences, or simply the fact that people are intrigued by the paranormal.
In the more recent years there have been many television shows that revolve around ghosts and proving their existence. The Travel Channel’s Ghost Adventures is a show about three men who travel around the world to places that are allegedly haunted. In each episode it shows the group traveling to their destination while they give some background on some unexplainable events that people have experienced. Once they arrive they set up their equipment and give an explanation on each device they will use throughout the episode. A majority of the show focuses on the crew attempting to communicate with any spirits that may be near.
According to Wikipedia paranormal events are, “events that can not readily be explained by the range of normal experience or scientific explanation.” Paranormal events are very fascinating and can appear as though there is nothing that can explain such rare phenomena. As a kid I sometimes would watch shows that would discuss all sorts of paranormal events from ghost sightings, big foot, the Loch Ness monster, UFO sightings, and even alien abductions in some instances. These stories really intrigued me because they were so mysterious. However, one thing I noticed about all those shows is that there was not any tangible evidence in any paranormal event to support their claim. Instead there was usually just an eye witness who would describe what
Growing up in the 80’s I didn’t have outside influences to spark my imagination about ghost. There was no television series about ghost and paranormal activities. It seems funny to me now seeing these shows with people trying to investigate the paranormal and one little thing happens and they I have never been so scared. A shadow passes by the open door way and they are excited and can not believe their eyes. What kind of people are these? You go into an investigation in search of something and become frighten over every little thing. Doors and windows open and shut on there own, a little noise, an eerie feeling that someone is watching you all things to be expecting on an investigation. I was just a teenager when I experienced things and I
