Inside of the four maroon walls of my other home, you will discover more than just delicious food; you will find the love and support of a family. Park Side Grill was founded by Cathy Godin where she built a restaurant into a home for many customers and employees. When I began there as a dishwasher immediately felt the supportive embrace those who work there provide. As corny as it sounds, each day we grow closer and learning something new about or from each other. Each of my coworkers has taught me something I can value for the rest of my life. Cathy, my second mom, taught me that you can make a home anywhere as long as there is love and support. Having more than one mother, at times, seemed restricting but when I needed support there
I am going to be completely honest, I never really been to a medium or upper level restaurant and I if I did go to one I don't remember it. The main places I go to are fast food restaurants( I literally went to taco bell yesterday), but I the last place that I remember going to is a Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet.
My mother has always had major health issues, going in and out of hospitals all the time, but she wouldn't go down without a fight, and luckily, we still have her here with us. Any mother would want the best for her children, so one day my mom dropped everything in Reynosa and decided to move here, to the United States, in order to give us more opportunities and a real chance to succeed. Therefore, my parents have taught me to be the responsible, strong, and hard working person I am today.
Nevertheless, it was challenging for a single mother to raise three kids without financial and emotional support. At that time my mother was a housekeeper, and she and my father divorced when I was six-years old. She is a tenacious women. Moreover, she is supportive, hardworking and possesses a magnificent sense of humor. While I was in school, my mother worked long hours and by the time I arrived home she barely had energy to cook dinner, or check out my academic progress. However, even when she was mentally and physically exhausted, she always cooked for me and my
Growing up my mom was the only parent in my household, so naturally we were a very close family. My mom took care of all of us. She always made sure my siblings and I had everything we needed in order to be successful. She cooked, clean, worked, etc., she really was a super mom. Whenever I had a problem with something or needed to talk to someone she was always there for me. My mom gave
Being raised in foster care, I had only one placement. I have been so thankful to my foster family for assuming the responsibilities that were not easy. I learned that despite someone
Being the oldest, I grew up with many responsibilities. I have always been the one to set the example, create the right path, and be the role model for my younger siblings. My single mother worked day and sometimes even nights to provide us all with what we needed, never failing to keep a roof over our heads and clothes on our backs, so she along with my brother and sister became my motivation to become the best I can be. I knew schooling would be an issue for us economically; there was no way my mother could ever help me pay and there was no way I would allow her to overwork herself. So I made the decision to leave home at the age of seventeen and move to Oregon. Becoming a resident of Oregon allows me to afford schooling at a much better cost, even if it means being so far away. It is very difficult being distant from my family, but I am doing this for them. Finally, I reached the moment in my life where I saw what was most important to me and it was to be the best I can be for my family.

This is a picture of "May's Railside Grill" Restuarant in Newport, Pa. There are two different signs hanging on the building; I believe that looks unprofessional and sloppy. The Restaurant part of the sign is good because it's bigger, and it stands out more. The "May’s Railside Grill" Sign’s font is small, and the green background does not make the font stand out. "May’s" is small and in yellow font, which makes it hard to read. The Restaurant part of the sign lights up at night, but the "May’s Railside Grill" part of the sign does not light up at night. People who are unfamiliar with the area might see the restaurant sign at night, and wonder what kind of restaurant it is. Elderly people or people who don't see well might not stop at this
We frequent the Brandon Bonefish Grill frequently throughout the year for a casual lunch, Sunday brunch or on special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries and enjoy it every single time. It is not your normal night out at a restaurant. It is an experience. From the moment you pull up out front, there is beautiful green tropical plants that make you feel you have left the hustle and bustle of the city, escaping to an exotic location. The hostess opens the big wooden door to greet you and as you walk in, a great tune is softly playing overhead. The bar and tables throughout the restaurant are full of people, laughing, having a good time and it feels like you have walked in to a friend or family member’s house. The entire restaurant smells
My mom, Rachel is one of the people I look up to the most in life because she has taught me that no matter what the issue in front of you is, you can always get through it. She was born in Wrangell, Alaska but grew up in Sedro-Woolley. This is where she ended up having a baby at eighteen years old. She had struggled with drug abuse ever since her dad died at fifteen, so she left and didn't come back until she had control over her addiction. This took several years, but by the time she came back, she had a renewed sense of life. Rachel has a mission that she would not give up on anyone like everyone had given up on her. She has since
I have taken my cousin to Studio Movie Grill and both times we have received bad service. The first time we went to watch blockers, we ordered our food and we did not receive it. We called the workers to ask them where our food was two times and both times the workers failed to let us know how long our food was going to take and if we were even going to receive our food. The second time, when we went to watch Incredibles 2, we ordered our food and we were told that our food was going to take 50 minutes, we were fine with that. After an hour, we decided to call the waiter to see how long our food was going to take, he said that he was going to check on our food, still nothing. After an hour and thirty minutes later I decide to call them again,
Do you enjoy a little music while you eat a great meal? Do you like an entertaining atmosphere or even an open kitchen where you can see food being prepared? If yes was an answer to any of these questions, then boogie your way down to The Iron Horse Grille. Where the smell of charcoal will greet you and the music will carry you all the way inside. At the Iron Horse Grille, the blues are bold and the rich Mississippi heritage is shown all around as an armour smokehouse since 1906.
I observed college students at feeding time at the campus university grill after my first class on April sixth, I entered the grill at 1 p.m. and observed a small group of 3 people for thirty minutes. I am naturally an observant person and like to watch my surroundings closely. Observing this group of people turning out to be normal but very interesting. The grill is a common social place to communicate on campus which is why I choose that environment.
