Secondly, I did not know that the Catholics had seven sacraments. According to James White (2000) “Lombard summarizes earlier teaching
I chose to interview Gabby Turner, who is a graphic designer and social media strategist. She works for a non-profit organization called Ekhaya Youth Project, which provides support to families involved in the Louisiana Mental Health Services. After discussing the importance of strong writing and the function of grammar within her profession with Ms. Turner, I discovered new information about my future career path. She explained that strong writing plays an important role in her career because of the effect it has on her image. If she presents an idea through an email or presentation and her writing is not strong, then potential clients or co-workers may view her as inferior. Ms. Turner believes that although strong writing is important, in

The individual I chose to interview for my oral history project was actually the Vice Principal of my school and his name was Mr. Clair. During our interview, he relayed to me the experiences he went during the Civil Rights Movement. What I was told during this interview was surprisingly different from what I was expecting, I was expecting to hear stories about how my interviewee witnessed many people of color being abused and segregated to the extremes. However, what I heard was a bit calmer than that and surprisingly, did not involve much violence at all. Mr. Clair told me about how he was only a young boy, around ten years old when the civil rights movement began to take off and in his school the main reaction he had was utter dismay. It was shocking and
When searching for an individual to conduct my interview I wanted to focus my selection towards the law enforcement field because that is the area of research that intrigues me. I first went to the Carlsbad Police Department and asked if there was anyone available to conduct an interview. I had the privilege of speaking with Officer Tony and I informed the officer that the purpose of my research is for my family violence class and if he knew anyone that I could interview in regards to this subject. Officer Tony informed me that it would be difficult to find an officer that would take the time to sit and interview due to work constraints and being on-call throughout the entire day. He suggests that I make an appointment for a ride-along with
Maitland Faucheux is known by “Spuddy” to just about everyone. I met Spuddy though Alumni connections from my advisor. I did not know really much about him but when I talked to him over the phone he seemed really eager to do an interview. Mr. Faucheux actually majored in Computer Science at Nicholls University. He originally wanted to go to a technical school for electronics. Somehow one of his friends from high school ended up talking him into going to college. His friend had heard about the Computer Science major from one of his friends and talked to him about it. He worked in that major for 10 years before he got tired of the repetitive behavior. He also worked at a plant in Vacherie and a sales person for toiletries. Being around people was not a problem because he worked with people since he was 8 years old. He knew that he wanted to own his own business one day. When he opened Spuddy’s Cajun Food he
This podcast interview I choose to listen to focused on Southwest airlines and its founder, Herb Kellener. In 1966, a lawyer based in San Antonio Texas, named Herb Kellener, heard from one of his clients about a small airline based in California. He met his client for a drink and the two of them decided to use the same business plan in Texas utilizing the cities of Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio. Kellener knew nothing about airlines when he began his venture however saw an untapped industry and wanted to take a risk. The idea of this new airline was to get away from the traditional way airlines normally run by cutting down on unnecessary frills so that everyday people could afford to airline travel. Southwest met competition at its creation from local Texas airlines and it took over 4 years for Southwest airlines to eventually take flight. Southwest was even sued and had to take the case to the U.S. Supreme Court. However, Southwest Airlines and Kellener persisted and Southwest has been profitable for

The first three Sacraments listed are the Sacraments of Initiation. “The Sacraments of Christian Initiation—Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist—lay the foundations of every Christian life…By means of these Sacraments of Christian Initiation, [we] thus receive in increasing measure the treasures of the divine life and advance toward the perfection of charity.” (CCC Chapter 1, Article 2:1212) These sacraments represent our birth into the Church, the seal of our birth into the Church, and the reception of Jesus’ body. In the words of the Catholic Church, “The Christian is born anew by Baptism, strengthened by Confirmation, and receives in the Eucharist the food of eternal life.” (CCC Chapter 1, Article 2:1212)
After a brief walk, the eleven of us arrived at Bike and Kayak Tours Coronado, located alongside the blue San Diego bay. Earlier in the year we had gone snorkeling and paddle boarding with the La Jolla branch. They gave us an impression that they cared about ecotourism and we wanted to see if their Coronado branch was the same way. When we arrive on the scene, we are greeted by one of the staff members who immediately asks us if we are the students doing the interview. Now we knew that the company as a whole knew this interview was happening. With nervousness in my breath, I said that we were those students. and then were told that Anthony Baldwin, our interviewee was currently in a meeting, giving us a little time to figure out the groups to use for the interview.
I have recently interviewed the applicant Deo Gratias for admission into Columbia University. In the interview Deo told me his life story, which really struck home. Deo Gratias is an exceptional young man and deserves to be admitted to Columbia.
I had the pleasure of interviewing Megan Rivas, the Marketing Director at Aimclear at the Duluth location. Our interview was 9AM October 7th at Aimclear which is located at: 9 W Superior St #200, Duluth, MN. Her LinkedIn profile URL is: https://www.linkedin.com/in/meganlichty I found Megan through LinkedIn. I made an effort to ensure I found someone who had a role as a Marketing Director, or similar to this title. I also wanted to make sure the person I interviewed was a woman, just so I could connect with them on another level, and to get a better picture on how she was treated in this industry. I called Aimclear and asked to speak to Megan, she was out of the office so I left her a detailed voicemail explaining: who I was, what I wanted, and why she should care. She called me back explaining she was actually in New York for a conference until
In response to questions asked by a third party, many people may not reply truthfully if they fear actions against their interests, a general drawback of questionnaire surveys (e.g. De Boer & Baquete 1998; Mehta & Kellert 1998). Additional information on existing management practices and options was obtained by administering Key Informant interview. Key informants such as local influential leaders, social workers, user’s committee members, teachers, and progressive farmers .
In the interview, Greg Harris spoke about how the church should prevail in being the Lord's ambassadors. I have often heard that we, individually, act as ambassadors for our home country when traveling to other countries. It never quite hit me as profoundly as when I heard Greg Harris speaking about this. It's true that every one of us should always act in a way that allows others to witness the love of God in us. For if successful in accomplishing this, before long (even if not ministering to others) someone will detect 'something' in you and determine it to be exceptional. Accordingly, this may be enough for someone to ask what makes you unusually peaceful and loving. This would be the time to share the Word with that person and perhaps pray
