There are many ways that people can lead a healthy lifestyle. People can regularly exercise. They can also avoid dangerous risk factors like riding a motorcycle with out a helmet or smoking. People can also minimize stress in their lives to promote mental wellness. One very important aspect of a healthy lifestyle is a healthy diet. I have personally been trying to improve my diet but have yet to reach the level of healthy eating I want to be at; however, some things I can do is make sure I have a proper intake of the nutrients I need and check to see what my foods contain. One thing I struggle with is making sure I’m not eating too little or too much. Some days I don’t feel like eating and other days I want to eat everything in my path. However, this is bad. It is important to eat because if you ignore your feelings of hunger, you may end up eating too much or choosing an unhealthy snack. If you often feel too hungry, it can cause you to focus a lot on food. It is also important to have all the nutrients I need. A nutrient is a substance that provides nourishment essential for growth and the maintenance of life. They are what we obtain energy from. The energy is measured by calories. There are many nutrients that are needed by our bodies. One is a carbohydrate. Carbohydrates are made up of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen and supplies energy.
