I Tim 4:16 says
16Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
1 Timothy 4:16 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
16 Be conscientious about yourself and your teaching; persevere in these things, for by doing this you will save (A) both yourself and your hearers.
Pay attention to yourself and unto the doctrine; Persevere For doing so this will save yourself and those that hear you.
If we PERSEVERE and stand firm upon the teachings of the Lord we can endure (persevere) thru tribulations, our faith will grow stronger.
Romans 5:1-5 says 1Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience (produces perseverance); and patience, experience (character); and experience, hope: 5And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

As humans, we long to be recognized. When what we are doing is ignored or looked over, it is difficult to find the will power to keep going. Without the Holy Spirit’s daily guidance, it is easy to lose passion for doing what is right.
Persevering trials bring purpose, and God’s love is evident in His chastening which should never be despised (Job 5:17; Hebrews 12:5).
The message given by Jesus and the apostles is resoundingly clear. Whether our conflicts involve minor irritations or major legal issues, God is eager to display his love and power through us as we strive to maintain peace and unity with those around us. Our dependence on him and obedience to this call will show the power of the gospel and enable me to enjoy the personal peace that God gives to those who faithfully follow him.
As clear-cut as the biblical teachings are about God’s grace, there is also our response with righteous living. We are
Peace Like River: The Importance of Faith in Life Many Christians wear faith as a suit of armor protecting them from life’s hardships. God guides believers through loss, poverty, and sickness. The common phrase, “God doesn’t give you more than you can handle” expresses this idea. The knowledge that they are not alone and have God’s protection gives them strength and hope.
Out of the depths of pain and sorrow, the believer's heart cries out: "I trust in you, O Lord: 'I say, you are my God."' (Psalms
29For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake; 30Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.
3. Paul says what everybody has to do to stay away from the evil and sin, and closer to the Lord. (6:14-16)
Although this position offers a secure perspective on eternity, it does not offer present assurance of salvation. The command to persevere until death is echoed by many biblical authors and is an integral part of the doctrines of soteriology and eternal security (John 8:31-32; Col. 1:22-23; Heb. 3:14). Jesus told Jewish converts, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples” (John 8:31). As a result, those who subscribe to this branch of soteriology and eternal security believe the word abide gives credence to the belief that only those who are born again will persevere until death. Genuine faith is evidenced by continuing in the Christian life (Heb. 11:1). Subsequently, some have a false sense of assurance and will fall away from faith. Unfortunately, according to the proponents of

The Lord Jesus Christ has granted us grace and by faith we work towards a divine fate.
Persistence is a very difficult virtue to possess; however, it is what separates winners from losers. Success does not always have to mean winning a sports game or receiving an A on a test, it encompasses

By having faith, people can get through difficult times because it serves as a source of security because of its reliability. Especially in difficult times, life goes by too fast. “Doesn't everything die at last, and too soon? Tell me, what is it your plan to do with your one wild and precious life” (Oliver)? This question
It also warns us against being caught up in life’s material pleasures otherwise we might miss out on better things. It also tells us to keep faith in what we have learned, even in times of hardship. The big message is to keep faith in the word, through everything that you hear.
