Through my high school years, I have taken many challenging academic courses, extracurriculars, and community service. By taking AP classes through high school, I have become more prepared for challenging courses in high school and have become more responsible and independent for challenging work, from these Ap classes, I have become more prepared for Honors College. since sophomore year, I have taken the highest level course available. By being in a regular level course I did not feel as if I was being challenged enough and desired more. I am projected to graduate high school with a 3.0 GPA. I have not taken many challenging classes during my 4 years of high school. I’ve taken all the right classes to prepare myself for college and my career such as many language art classes and a variety of math and science classes. In addition I have cared for animals giving them the care they need. I’ve always volunteered to take care of neighbors animals. Growing up around farm life and animals has helped me decide that becoming a Veterinarian is the best career for me. Caring for animals gave me an insight to this career and has prepared me. I have continued to take courses in school to challenge me academically. In hopes to prepare me for my future career.

Throughout high school, I have challenged myself both in the classroom and out in my community. By taking the honors classes, while participating in as many extracurricular activities as I can, I have learned the importance of balance and commitment. My school offered many dual-enrollment courses with conjunction to the local community college as well as Seton Hall University. These classes prepared me for the rigorous workload of college classes, while giving me the opportunity to earn college credits as a high school student. In addition to the dual-enrollment program, I have taken several AP classes that too transfer to college credits. At this point in my high school career, I have a grade point average of 3.6 out 4.0. Not only my grade point average, but my extra curricular activities as well. I have been a member of the National Honor Society since my sophomore year and have participated in various community service events for my school. I was also a varsity starter for the Lady Wolverine’s soccer team. I persevered the first two years of soccer while being on JV, however, my coach noticed my hard work, improvement, and commitment which resulted in a spot on varsity for me.

Throughout my academic career, my grades and accomplishments have always been of extreme importance to me. To keep up with my goals, for example, making honor roll every quarter, I have taken steps and faced setbacks that have enabled me to see the big picture rather than focusing on the little issues that could discourage me from reaching those goals. To make the honor roll at my high school means obtaining a 3.5 grade point average or above for the entire quarter. As a freshman, I made it my goal to meet this standard throughout my complete high school career. I have always succeeded in all of my courses with high marks, earning a place in the National Honor Society. I have been in accelerated English, math, and science since eighth grade and took my first Advanced Placement course in tenth grade. Midway through tenth grade, I made the decision to graduate early considering my senior year would be very minimal in course work. To graduate early, I took economics independently last spring and challenged the U.S History and Government course. I am currently taking thirteen credits in college courses and going on clinical rotations three times a week in the hospital through the New Vision Medical Program.

I have taken or plan to take all advanced placement classes my high school offers. Attending a small high school (approximately 350 students) limits me because I can only take the few course offerings related to the medical field. Through sports and clubs I have had keep my grades up to work with diverse personalities for a common goal. I have had to learn through leadership roles in organizations to complete service learning projects through National Honor Society or write a speech for Student Council. All the learning that occurs through my experiences not only the classroom but also on the court, while on a fieldtrip or during a meeting will better prepare me for my future goals at University of

At Norwalk Community High School, I am in the Top 12% of my class, earned a cumulative GPA of 3.6, received an Academic Bar and Honor Roll for past 3 years, and inducted into the National Honor Society. A special attribute that sets me apart is my tendency to work hard. I constantly try to do my best in everything that I do. Throughout high school, I’ve always set a high standard for myself by taking rigorous classes, joining sports and clubs, and maintaining a high GPA. One of the hardest things I have ever done is balance my school, sports, and organizations. Throughout my life I have been pushed to be the greatest and in result, never settled for anything less than perfect. This is true for both school work and athletics. Since my freshman year I have worked for good grades and ended up with nearly perfect grades, which resulted in a grade point average of a 3.927. I have earned this GPA while balancing volleyball, basketball, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) , Yearbook, National Honor Society (NHS), Honor Roll, the Drama Department, Math Team,Student Council, Class officer and Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD).

The National Honor Society is a prestigious organization that recognizes students who stand out among their peers. Being nominated to be a member of such distinguished organization is a privilege itself. As a member of the honor roll during the entirety of my high school career, I have strived to achieve the best possible scores every marking period. Every day, I come to school with a positive attitude, and am always poised to learn something new. Over the last four years, I have taken all of the technology courses my school has to offer. I have a heavy “Engineering by Design” background, and also have become skilled with CAD software, programming, and scripting. As a student of Eaton High School I have been able to take advantage of many academic and extracurricular activities while still being able to maintain an above average GPA. I currently have a grade point average of 3.731. This was achieved through taking classes that fit the “Honors Diploma” curriculum. My time in High School was made difficult from the constant strife and conflict between my parents. This made my home an unstable environment not fitted for learning or growing as an individual.
