On 10/12/16 Deputy Camacho and I arrived at 6601 Highway 161 in reference to a dispatched auto theft. We contacted Kaitlin Rutter, who said two white miles in a white Toyota Camry took her purse and other belongings which contained her prescription Methadone and other narcotics. While speaking with Mrs. Rutter she pointed out a white Toyota south bound on Highway 161 and stated, “That was them”. I entered Highway 161 and could see that the vehicle had accelerated. There were a couple of vehicles between us with oncoming traffic. I accelerated to catch up with the individuals but traffic north bound was heavy. I was also aware we were approaching Harris Elementary and there are often cars in and out of the school at this time of day so I was trying to make a cautious approach of the vehicle. As I was approaching the school I lost sight of the vehicle. I observed Dep. Benson turn onto Spradlin Cove and state she was in foot pursuit of two white male subjects who had just jumped out of a white vehicle. I turned onto Spradlin Cove and was directed by Deputy Benson to a wooded area behind the residences of Spradlin Cove. Deputy Camacho and I began a search of the area. I found a white male, in a blue checkered button down shirt, attempting to conceal himself in brush in the wooded area approximately 200 yards southeast of where the car was located. I took the subject, later identified as Jeffrey Woods, into custody and turned him over to Deputy Camacho. I notified dispatch that Officer Albert and I were out at the RSC. I parked our patrol car on the north side of the RSC and entered the north door. I heard Officer Smith on the radio say he was out with the subject near the Credit Union. I observed from across the RSC Officer J. Smith and Officer R. Faison standing next to a black male all the way by the Book Store. As I walked closer, I could see the black male with both of his hands up in the air and he was getting down on both of his knees. When I got to the Credit Union, I saw a set of crutches and a black bag laying on the floor. I told Officer Albert to stay here with these items as I continued to go behind the black male. On Thursday, July 14, 2016, at approximately 0847 hours, Patrolman David Stamets had a vehicle stopped on the 100 block of East Oak Street. Immediately after Stamets stopped the vehicle Your Affiant positioned his vehicle on the 100 block of South White Street near the Oak Street intersection facing southbound. When exiting my vehicle your Affiant observed a gold Pontiac sedan accelerating northbound on South White Street at an unsafe speed towards Stamets and your Affiant's location.
I, Deputy Daniel Pruitt spoke to a Steve Craine who stated on 06/06/2017 he saw a small silver SUV on his property. Steve stated the SUV was pulling a red 1970's model truck bed as a trailer. Steve stated he saw a white male drving and a female passenger. Steve stated the subjects were loading items from his property. Steve stated the subjects dropped all the items. Steve stated the subjects went to his neiybors Craig Chaffin's house at 25004 West 49th Street. Craig stated a female named Emma Hogen and a white male named Jerry came to his shop. Craig stated Emma and Jerry were trying to sell items out of a red truck bed. Craig stated Emma and Jerry wanted $300.00 dollars for the whole trailer full of property. On Monday August 08, 2016 I, Detective K. Holland #636 began reviewing this case file. The three listed suspects, Ramon Alvarado, Jose Blancas, and Hector Gatica were believed to be involved with burglarizing vehicles prior to their arrest. Since their arrest, victims had come forwards to report their vehicle was burglarized. Property belonging to Malinda Sims, (a Samsung cell phone), was returned to her by Officer Acosta. Sims also reported that $80-$100 was stolen from her vehicle. Officer Weaver advised that there was still electronic equipment inside the Dodge Avenger that was located at Brownwood Towing. A search warrant was sought for the Avenger, and it was signed by Judge Sam Moss. The search of the vehicle was occurred on 08/08/16
On 10/30/2016 at 0251 hours Ptlm. David Stamets and I were dispatched to the unit block of S. White St. for multiple males in the road fighting. We arrived on scene and I observed three males walking toward Main St. I instructed the males to stop, but they did not comply with my request. The males looked back and continued to walk away. I again gave verbal commands for them to stop, two of the three males stopped, while one continued to walk away. I walked to the two males who stopped while Stamets proceeded in the patrol car to make contact with the third male, who he caught up to.
SUMMARY OF THE FACTS: An anonymous letter was sent to the Police Department of Bloomingdale. The letter included specific details involving a husband and wife. The letter stated that they were going to traffic drugs from Florida to Illinois. The police officer followed up on the tip and the defendants validated the allegations that were made. The police obtained a search warrant and found drugs, weapons and other contraband in the defendants’ home and automobile.
On Thursday, August 31, 2017 at approximately 2232 hours, I was dispatched to a residence across the street from 2220 University St in reference of a suspicious person inside of a black truck. Upon arrival I spoke to the complainant Ms. Delisa Smothers. Ms. Smothers stated that at approximately 2230 hours, an unknown black male went inside her neighbor's truck located across the street at 2221 University street.
While enroute I received updated information from dispatch that the suspect vehicle was south on Washington St. The defendant was then observed at the intersection Washington St and Lorenzen Rd by officer Zabetka and a Felony traffic stop was conducted. Shortly after Det. Russo and myself arrived on scene and detained the driver who was later identified as Sergio Mercado Flores from a Florida driver license, of the white Ford Expedition and placed him into the rear of Officer Zabetka patrol car.
On April 27, 2016, at approximately 0031hrs, I was patrolling out at the City Lake when dispatch advised Sgt. Henke to respond to Wal-Mart, 937 Park Circle Drive. Sgt. Henke arrived on scene at approximately 0003hrs while I was in route to Wal-Mart. At approximately 0040hrs, I arrived on scene I made contact with Sgt. Henke inside Wal-Mart. Sgt. Henke had a Sandra Parr, w/f, DOB 1/19/63, under arrest and was walking her out Wal-Mart. Sgt. Henke was accompanied by Asset Protection Manager Krista L. McClintick.
On 10-08-16 at approximately 1555 hours, Officer Harrell #3441 and I contacted Marin at 384 E. Orange Grove Boulevard, Pasadena. The area is commonly known for male Hispanics drinking alcoholic beverages in public and contacts for public intoxication have resulted in arrest. A records check was conducted on Marin which revealed an outstanding warrant for his arrest. A pat down search was conducted on Marin. Marin was asked in the field if he had any contraband in his possession, which included narcotics. Marin stated he did not have any narcotics or contraband. Marin was arrested on the warrant and taken to Pasadena City Jail for booking. While inside of the jail, Marin was again asked if he had any narcotics in his possession, which he denied.
I responded to Piggly Wiggly on US Hwy 231 in reference to a shoplifting call. While en route, I observed the suspect vehicle leaving the buisiness. I performed a traffic stop on the vehicle with the final being at Hardees. I then asked the driver for her license and identified her as Mary Jane Blair. Blair was then escorted back to Piggly Wiggly on her POV to be trespassed for the buisiness. Once at Piggly Wiggly, I made contact with Jonathan Richard. Richard advised that he seen Blair conceal a boston butt on aisle 5 and made contact with Blair on aisle 7. Richard also showed officer video footage of the merchandise Blair concealed in her purse. Richard also advised that Blair but the meat back after being confronted. Blair was then trespassed
On 10/29/2016, I, Dillon Dickerson, badge #155, was working as a Patrol Officer for the Wichita State University Police Department, in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. At approximately 2340 hours I was dispatched to Fairmount towers in regards to a suspicious character. Dispatch advised there was a black female asking students for cigarettes and money. Dispatch advised she was wearing a blue sweatshirt, a hat and had camo shoes on. I arrived at the Fairmount towers commons parking lot at 2334 hours. Officer Abbey #132 also arrived at which point we saw a black female matching the description over near the air conditioning units.
On 3-26-2017 at about 0805 hrs I was west bound on E Main St at about Auburn Way when I noticed a black Acura pass me east bound on E Main St. At the time, the vehicle had no front plate and it appeared that it was occupied by several males. I remembered from the previous day (3-25-2017) that Officer Feero had sent a “BOLO” out about a black 2003 Acura that was reported stolen from 402 16th ST NE. Additionally, in the BOLO, Officer Feero noted that the Acura (WA/BAJ1409) had a “KCCO” sticker on the back bumper. Furthermore, Officer Feero sent a department email with surveillance footage of the vehicle being stolen. On 10/2/16, at approximately 2115 hours, Officer Sailor #7661, and I, Officer Harrell #3441 were working uniformed patrol unit 3A21, driving a marked black and white police vehicle. We were conducting normal patrol when we received a radio call of possible drunk in public suspects at 287 Parke St. The comments of the call stated there were seven to eight Male Hispanics, drinking and smoking marijuana in the driveway of the apartment complex. The caller stated that only one subject lives there and the rest are soccer teammates.
