Teagan shouted “GUYS!! Coach Cole told us if we were late we were going to have to run suicides!!” A look of panic was spreading among our four faces. Not running, anything except running.
“It’s not our fault we got out of class late!” Sadie exclaimed, but we all knew Coach Cole wouldn’t care. If we’re late, we're running.
As soon as we were ready, we raced down the hallway, getting strange looks from everyone and sprinted to the parking lot. When we got outside Sadie exclaimed “WHERE DID I PARK MY CAR!” The one day we are pressed for time she doesn't remember where she parked. We searched the whole parking lot, time ticking by, it felt like we had been searching for years. Finally, I thought of an idea.
We ran into the locker room with our backpacks and began to change. I threw off my clothes and put on a jenison football t shirt and my black softball pants and green softball socks. We had to hurry because we got out of class late. The other day Coach Cole said “You better not be late to practice or we’ll run suicides. We did awful at our game and we have skill work we need to improve on today.” None of us liked running so we were trying to be speedy but we knew we were pressed for time.
During our first run Taylor and I noticed that the car was turning way to the left. So in order to fix this we started our car as far to the right of the track as possible. After our first trials we realized that we needed to fix our string. We needed to cut the string we had attached off of our car and make a new one. When we made a new one me made it a little bit longer than the car and only hot glued it to the hook, not to the frame. Our new string had a loop in the end of it so we could put that on the toothpick. So now we understood that the toothpick did have a real purpose and we couldn’t glue the string to the mousetrap. After we made these changes we ran our car three more times.
I was time traveling to 1969 where all the good cars where i went back to the place where they were I time traveled to to California where all the cars were i thought I would be nicer than now
“Were that the cars that rushed into the smoke? Did they got lost while driving? How they caught fire so fast? Did everyone survive?” I thought at that moment. Tried to find the answer but too afraid to ask them.
I neither advance nor dropped in my overall score. But I noticed that my CARS scores still stayed the same. This is the second week in which I have applied the strategy of working through only the easy passages first and then tackling the medium and hard passages last. I also noticed that I did not run out of time in the CARS section. I am going to keep up with the constant reading every day (book and random article from Psychology Today and New York Time) to continue improving my reading speed and comprehension. For the chemical and physical, I need to get better at managing my time. I noticed that I spend too much time on questions in earlier in the section. I need to start practicing the habit of choosing an answer choice and moving on
You may think that my life was going to be like the average guy. The one who gets a job, becomes successful, gets married and has children. Well not this guy. It all started the summer of 2013 when i was in and out of jobs. I was on the verge of getting kicked out of my parents house, mind you I've been living there since birth. I could barely pay my car insurance and my car note in which I had none. That is an insinuation of how broke I was. The traffic tickets where piled up as far as the eye could see. I was in and out of a horrible yet somehow gratifying relationship with a pregnant lady who claimed that even me taking the slightest of breath is and was wrong in her eyes.
My chevy, it was a dark faded blue with white my dad used to drive it as his work truck to “rears” manufacturing company until he passed away when i was little kid. No one drove it anymore it would be just around the front of the house. Id always imagine me driving it my mom when i was in the sixth grade said if i can get a thousand dollars it would be mine. That summer and the summer after i non stopped mowing lawns “bucking” hay alround just trying to get that truck and make it mine.
“What is it, Bree,” Pairs asked me as she just finished bucking in her seatbelt.
I am writing concerning the used car I purchased from your dealership on April 2. Your salesman told me the car was lightly used, having only 18,900 miles on it. The odometer reading was 18,900. Once I drove the car home, it had many problems.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. In high school I moved out of city limits to discover that there was no bus stops near by and found myself needing a car as soon as possible to get to school. All I had was 500 dollars and about a week until the semester started. I should’ve felt apprehensive about only having 500 for a car but thoughts of being self-reliant and unchained blinded me to the reality of the quality of vehicle I’d be purchasing. After only a few days of searching we found something in that price range; a 1994 Ford Escort hatchback with 190 thousand miles. The man that sold it to us had to tow it to the house with his truck because it had been sitting in the driveway so long the battery drained and had a few other maintenance issues to take care of. So when I saw the car for
Coming from a family that is mechanically inclined, I learned quickly how to work with my hands and problem solve. Seeing my brother work on his truck I was eager to learn more about how to work on vehicles. Just a few years ago in summer of 2014 I had the chance to go with my friend Tyler up to Slinger Speedway, where his dad races a super-late model. It was my first time in the pits of a race track. Being in the pits and working on a race car was a new thing to me. I shortly learned that I very much enjoyed racing and just being at the track. It gave me excitement knowing and seeing that your hard work payed off at the end of the night during the race. I would go on working on the crew for the rest of the season. Tyler started his racing
I couldn’t imagine my automobile being stolen. It was an ordinary vehicle without glamour. Even though, I experienced problems, the vehicle was mine. Consequently, I felt a sense of hurt and disbelief without a vehicle. Who would have imagine to be placed in this situation.
I got my dog almost one year ago. We got him on november second 2014. Me and my sister had begged our parents to get us a dog but they kept saying no. THe day that we ended up getting him my parents just said that we were going camping. They said we were going camping in a cabin a few miles from Bend Oregon.
Children are constantly asking their parents for what they need. In reality, they are asking for something they only want. As the children start to mature and become older, they will start asking for more realistic things. I know I am only thirteen, turning fourteen, but this is something we can all start saving up for. I am asking for a car, and I would love for it to be a light blue Volkswagen. It may have seemed expensive at first, but there are still a couple of years until I will be able to drive. For a while, I have been researching the cost of this car. The cost ranges from about $8,500 to $23,000.
One Friday night at the Walmart parking lot in Bora Bora there was a girl named Tina and a boy named Rango were sitting there minding their own business, suddenly, this strange car pulls into the parking lot. The car just sits there and stares at Tina and Rango. Tina then said to Rango “let’s go this feels weird”. When they began to pull out so does the other car and they become even more weary. They pull out onto the Autobahn and began to head home, they are driving down the road minding their own business once again, and suddenly, the other car pulls into the other lane and revs their engine wanting to race. We drop a gear and we start racing we were going so fast we were pinned back in our seats, we must have hit 300 MPH. Tina and Rango won by a long shot, but the other car finally caught up and got in front of us. Every time we would start to switch lanes so would the other car he wouldn’t allow us around him! We pulled off the Autobahn then blue lights popped up behind us so Tina and Rango pulled over but the other car just kept going. They gave us a ticket for doing 500 MPH!
