Kindergarten was I big year for me because it was the first year of school. Of what I can remember is I was the biggest spiderman fan around. Actually my older brother one day convinced me he was real, so I thought that was just the coolest thing apparently. Me and my cousin Jackson were the oldest out of the cousins, so we started Kindergarten first, while my sister and his sister started a year after. I’m mentioning them because they were a big impact on me when I was younger. Everything we did me and Jackson always had to be on a team because we knew we were the top dog of the school. We were the best athletes by far, not trying to be cocky or anything, but it was the truth. To this day on the first day of school I can remember wearing …show more content…
I loved walking into Kindergarten because I remember the first thing everyone always had to do first was play dress up. They had props out for everyone to try one. It made everything more comfortable and you didn’t feel scared when you walked in. As much as I loved that it came out to be the worst idea ever because everyone ended up getting lice because everyone was sharing hats and clothing. It started well ended not so good. Besides that I had the best Kindergarten teacher in my opinion. Her name was Mrs. Worth, she was older, but she was a fantastic teacher who even though I wasn’t the strongest learner she knew and helped me each day I needed it. She was tall, skinny and wore glasses. She had very fair skin and always wore those sass shoes with jeans and a nice button up shirt. The biggest thing for everyone in Kindergarten was recess time. It was like the olympics for us. We played everything for basketball to kick ball, to chasing the boys we just thought were the hottest thing. I can remember this one kid his name was Skyler and he thought he was just the best at basketball. He would practically dance with the ball it was so
I started kindergarten when I was 3 to 4 yrs old and kindergarten was fun we did a lot of fun projects and just played game I thought we would have tons of work but I was wrong I remember when I would take my folder with the numbers and colors and act like it was computer by tapping the multiplication chart with my fingers.
I have been a preschool teacher, teaching mixed age children from 18 months to 5 years, for over 10 years. I started as a work study employee, while attending the Community College of Philadelphia in 2006, to a part-time teaching assistant while attending Temple University in 2010. This led me to a lead-teacher position after graduation and then to a program coordinator. I have developed effective working relationships with children in the past years. This position has helped me improve my teamwork and interpersonal skills by cooperating with other teachers in planning teaching materials according to the Reggio Emilia approach and by sharing teaching resources. I decided that working with children, understanding and assisting in their education,
Looking back over the years, it is hard to forget those early days in kindergartner. Many of us came to school so afraid to be away from our moms and dads. Lots of tears were shed in those early days, but I will never forget how I learned to be brave. Stepping away from mom and dad was the hardest thing ever, especially for a five year old. Interestingly enough though, a five year old quickly forgets what they are missing when they get to play with a table full of shaving cream and meet of legion of new best friends. Kindergarten was all about learning new things and being okay with trying new experiences.
My first day in kindergarten I was scared the first day but when I got there I was fine and I had fun. My conferences were always good in elementary. I had a lot of friends and was always popular. When I was in 5th grade I had a lot of jobs because teachers liked me. One of my jobs was after everyone got done with recess me and joey got to go pick all the balls up and usually when we picked everything up me and him play 1 on 1 Elementary
The apples is for when I was 5, and I started kindergarten at John Clarke Elementary School in the small town of Rockville, MN. I did not attend pre-school, so this was the first experience that I had will the school system. I was very excited and nervous to attend school, I loved being the only kid at home/daycare all day while all of my older siblings were in school. By this time, I had also grown a bit more shy, I was nervous about not having or being able to make friends, being as we lived in the country, and I wouldn’t really know anyone, where all the other kids all lived in the same neighborhoods, and attended preschool together already. Lucky for me kindergarten was only a half day long, and it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be to make
My preschool years I started off at a school called Lake Rim in Hope Mills, North Carolina. My teacher's name was Mrs.Keller and we were all little kids so we thought she was scary because her name was so close to killer. By the second day we realized that she was a very compassionate and nice teacher after giving us candy for every math problem we got right. I didn't go to Lake Rim for long because I think we were two months into the school year and as I was getting out of the reading tub one day a kid named Jermaine. He had just got done at the math section before running across the classroom screaming and as I turned around to get out of the tub he superman kicked me in the face and I flew back into the tub. Mrs.Keller quickly came over to see if I was alright and took me to the guidance office because I had a bloody nose and a boot mark on my face.
In August of 2008, I went to Eureka Community Nursery School. The very first day of school for me, now it would be as easy as counting to three.
I will never forget my daughter's first day of kindergarten. It was a beautiful warm day and I took a personal day off at work so that I could walk her to school and get her settled in. My mother was in town visiting and she walked along with us to school that morning. My daughter who at that time loved Barney, was wearing Barney from head to toe. She had the complete outfit including a Barney backpack! The picture of her on her first day of K5 in her Barney outfit was priceless!
I attended fifth grade at Northside Elementary School, but was very excited to get over to Martha Brown Middle School!! I remember, even though I was excited to be in the sixth grade, I was nervous! I remember on the first day of middle school, I was lost trying to get to classes. I could not remember my locker combination and had to ask for help from the very tall Mr. O’Dell. I just felt that nervous because I could not remember what seat to sit in and the classes seemed like they were going to be difficult.
Like many people everyone wants to find their calling and figure out where they belong. My parents moved to the United States risking their lives on a boat from Haiti but soon separated while in america . My mom did a great job raising four kids on her own and I being the second child took part in raising my two younger siblings. In elementary school I struggled in many subjects but excelled in art, when I finally learned to read and went to middle school my grades were high enough to have honors reading and social study classes and even apa classes in highschool. I continued to excel in a lot of my classes, turns out I was smarter than I thought and all I need to do was learn to read and have people who took the time to teach me.
I went to the same elementary school from kindergarten to 5th grade, Suncoast Elementary School. My brother, my sister and I all went to Suncoast Elementary school from k-5th. My sister is still in elementary school, but once she gets out she’ll either go to Gulf Coast or Powell. My brother, my sister and I all had the same kindergarten class room but always had a different teacher. At that school my brother would hang out with the people in the office often so when I got there they all knew my name and was extra nice to me. This is only about my experience from kindergarten through 3rd grade.
Kindergarten and 1st grade was an introduction to Lake Elmo Elementary. In kindergarten, my teacher was Mrs. Mankowski. She was really funny and always made everyone laugh. Ms. Dawn was a student teacher, who was very nice and helpful. She was my favorite part about kindergarten because she always made sure my friend, Krista and I were partnered up. Kindergarten was great because we did many of fun things like having the Halloween parade and a 6th grade buddy. In 1st grade, Mrs. Tibbitts was my teacher. She still remembers me and hugs me every time we see each other. Before 1st grade, I had no idea how to
They let me start kindergarten at school because my birthday was very close to the first day of school. Normally, my birthday would fall somewhere in the second week of school. I was always a fan of cheerleading because of my dad’s job. He was always on the field, so that allowed me to be on the field. I was watched by the cheerleaders and the drill team.
My first day of kindergarten was not a happy day for me. I was scared and wanted to go home. The environment was unfamiliar to me. Entering into kindergarten at the age of four is a normative event. I recall my mother giving me a kiss on the cheek, smiling at me and told me everything would be okay and then walked away. I did not cry; I just watched her walk away. What stood out the most for me, is that none of the children or teachers looked like me. I was the only African American in my kindergarten class. I had enough sense to know that something was different.
Elementary school started out as a bore but moved on to eventually being fun and enjoyable. I grew to love school and learning during my fourth and fifth grade years at Zia elementary school. My teacher taught me the value of history and American History
