I went to the same elementary school from kindergarten to 5th grade, Suncoast Elementary School. My brother, my sister and I all went to Suncoast Elementary school from k-5th. My sister is still in elementary school, but once she gets out she’ll either go to Gulf Coast or Powell. My brother, my sister and I all had the same kindergarten class room but always had a different teacher. At that school my brother would hang out with the people in the office often so when I got there they all knew my name and was extra nice to me. This is only about my experience from kindergarten through 3rd grade. In 1st grade I had two teachers, I can’t remember one of their names but the other one was Ms. Diana, one would teach us science social studies and math, …show more content…
Fitzgerald and Ms. Mendoza, Ms. Fitzgerald taught Launguage arts, and writing, then we would go across the bathrooms and Ms. Mendoza would teach us everything else. In 2nd grade I was in a class with on best friend Maddison, but somewhere in 2nd grade we weren’t friends anymore and I still have no clue why. My other best friends were Holly, Alex, Ashely, Grace, and McKenzie. During math class one day I began a weird habit where I chew on the side of my check, I thought I had stopped but it came back this year. I learned how to multiply big letters and write big words. I loved going to dance, hanging with family, being with friends, and going to b-day parties, I hated speech …show more content…
Going from elementary school to middle school was scary and exciting. I was excited because I knew that Gulf Coast went on lots of fun trips but I was nervous because none of my friends would be going to Gulf Coast and I wouldn’t have anyone to be my partner. The Last Days of Summer Camp was a lot of help because it showed me 1) that I had no old friends and 2) it helped me make a lot of friends. My 4th grade teacher was just Ms. Fielder, she was probably my second favorite teacher, she was so nice and never raised her voice. 4th grade was difficult not because of school but because all of my dance friends made competition besided me, and I didn’t discover that till 7th grade that the competition girls had a thing were they wouldn’t talk to other dancers, my own cousin stopped talking to me. I still did dance, I loved dancing, I still do. On top of that at school people would make fun of me because of how hairy my arms and legs were (I’m Italian. Not being hairy, as Shawn Mendes said “It isn’t in my blood.”) I was messed with before that but in 4th grade I learned how to hold it in and not let them know that I care. My best friends were Maddison, and Ainsley. I started to hate going to school and going to dance, and of course I hated speech class. I loved being
On April 08, 2016, I arrived to my designated school, Cypress Point Elementary School. Upon my arrival to Cypress Point Elementary School, I went to the main office of the school to see the assistant principal, Mrs. Dewitt. She could not make it to school on time, due to her having car troubles. The secretary told me she would notify her that I arrived and to set me. As I waited for Mrs. Dewitt, I noticed quite a few students having to call home due to violating the school dress code. Mainly it was more girls violating the dress code than boys. I am assuming from what I saw, the children only wore clothes that they saw the adults wore, or whatever their parents picked out for them. During this time, I noticed a little Asian or Hispanic boy being brought to school but he was supposed to be at home due to suspension. The secretary asked him “Why are you at school?” This young man told the secretary that his mother brought him to school. The secretary informed him that he needs to call his mother so that she
I attended Mokler Elementary School for Kindergarten until Second grade. In First grade, I met my best friend, Kenneth. I was never really into sports during school, so Kenneth and I usually walked around the playground talking about random stuff. One day we are talking about third grade, the next we are talking about pencils and which
I started out in Lindbergh at the age of three where I went to preschool for two years. I remember taking naps, playing on the playground, and snacking the most. After I finished preschool I went on to kindergarten. My first year riding a big school bus vs the small they use to pick us up in for preschool. I remember my kindergarten teacher Ms. Dorn who taught me the alphabet and how to count. My first grade teacher Ms. Hansen taught me how to read, write, add, and subtract. I remember my second grade teacher Ms. Welinski who help me further my education in the world of history, math, reading, and writing. My third grade teacher Ms. Cox retired my third grade year, but her lasted year she taught me how to write in cursive and to multiply.
The months went by in a blink of an eye, and it was the last week of school. My classes for the rest of the week, we're watching a movie and eating pizza ,but only people who had a good
That school was a weird school different from most regular middle school’s. I seemed to fit in real quickly though because that school made me who I am now. I went there from 6th to 8th grade, and there was some good times in the Charter School days. The thing I liked the most about that school is the dance class/singing class we has the best teacher his name was Mr. Blackburn he was both funny and serious, and made that class really fun. I learned how sew at the Charter School which was beneficial if I needed to sew something. There was a class called games class it was PE basically but we called it Games class. We played games like bunker ball which is the teacher is in a bunker with a certain amount and the students with one life. When I graduated at the Charter School we went to place in Carmel where the graduation had happened in. Everybody said there speeches, and when it was time for me to say my graduation speech all I said was I graduated to keep it short and sweet. While all of the others said some important memories they had at the Charter School. When they showed pictures of the past them I was there for a little bit then left to go eat at a chinese
The sun rising and birds chirping, a fresh a breath air consumed my lungs. It was the start of my junior year at Coral Park Sr. High, and I was ready to enjoy my year with old friends and maybe have a girlfriend. As I pass through classmate and teachers outside the classroom; going up the main stairs in the back of the school entrance, I was interrupted by a wonderful fruity smell. As I turned to see what aroma lured me, suddenly I bumped my head and fell off the stairs. Once I realize what happen, I quickly ran up to the girl and held her hand; her hair was covering her face at that time so I didn’t pay so much attention. Ring! Ring! Ring! The bell rung and I was late. I apologize to her and told her that I would invite
The school counselors that I interviewed and observed are employing by Hope-Centennial Elementary School and West Palm Beach Junior Academy. Hope-Centennial Elementary School is a regular public school while West Palm Beach Junior Academy is a private religious based school. Even though both schools are located in West Palm Beach, Florida, Hope-Centennial Elementary school specific location is more affluent than the specific area where West Palm Beach Junior Academy is located.
“First in State and District, the Lone Star Academic Challenge Champion is….Richland Elementary School!” Cheers and claps erupt through the crowd and I feel my heart pound. A ringing resounds through my head as everything slows down. I feel my body being dragged up the stairs by my teacher. A gold medal is placed on my head and rests on my shoulder, my hands are shook and I read the words “Congratulations” on the announcer’s lips. Speed returns to normal and it dawns on me: we won. My team won first place. I let out my delayed reaction of jumping up and down, screaming in delight as a smile graces my face. I feel a tap on my shoulder and my head turns so fast, I think I got whiplash. A Texas-shaped trophy is handed to me and my smile grows bigger as I rip the trophy from the announcer’s hands and wave it around, yelling, “We won!” over and over again.
I wait in the lobby of Edinboro Elementary for my younger brother, surrounded by vibrant colors, and drawings of what the children who attend there want to be when they grow up, coupled with adorably misspelled descriptions underneath. I walk over to glance at one, depicted is a squiggly-drawn superhero and underneath it reads“Wen i grow up i want to be A superhero.” It reminds me of how innocent and simple life is when you are young. Before I managed to read another poster I notice my brother running down the hall in his blue, Pokémon shirt, with a smile that spans from ear to ear, which could only mean that it is Friday. When we entered my car I ask him the usual, “How was your day? Did you have fun at school today? Did you learn anything
Soon enough preschool was over and here came our elementary school days. Everyone met many people in kindergarten. Many will be my friends throughout high school and beyond. Kindergarten was filled with arts and crafts, my portfolio, 2008 handprints, and stamped tee shirts. Suddenly kindergarten graduation was here, everyone was paired up and danced with a partner. First grade flew by and then came second grade with Ms. Foisy and Ms. Okabioshi. Ms. Okabioshi was one of the best teacher assistance we have ever had. Third and fourth grade with Mrs. Schuler and Ms. Ittes. These years were filled with warm fuzzies, a lot of reading and writing, and a lot of fun playing on the playground. The class watched Shilo and everyone hated the evil father. After that came fifth grade with Mr. Sifferman, also known as Millie’s cousin, he gave the hardest tests we have ever taken, but the most fun and memorable times we have had. After that year many people changed schools, I moved to California.
Kindergarten began for me in 2011, when I was five years old. My teacher’s name was Mrs. Rowlett at Mountain Home Kindergarten. I don’t know how I felt, really. I remember having nap time, but I could never seem to fall asleep. In 2012, I started 1st grade, at Nelson Wilks-Herron. My teacher’s name was Mrs. Barnes. She wore glasses, and she was awesome, from what I
The school was very far away, inside this old neighborhood, and was on the other side of Columbia; while we were passing the neighborhood, I had this eerie feeling and I didn’t like it, I knew from there this isn’t going to be a fun experience. My sister, my mom, and I got inside the school and were settled in from there; my 5th grade teacher name was Karen Bowling and she was the sweetest and kindest teacher, if it wasn’t for her I probably wouldn’t get comfortable with the new school and new environment that quickly. I made a few friends but still was shy and reserved, but I made a best friend that year her name was Kathryn Hamm. She had the same thinking like I did, she was funny, and we got attached quickly but by mid year things changed. I suddenly gained a lot of weight; I started looking very healthy, I had hair on my face,
This plan took place in 8th grade year, I was a new student at Sunland elementary. It was around September when this event occurred. I learned to not try to impress others making bad decisions that could lead to big trouble.
I don’t remember much but I do remember my teachers. In Kindy I had Mrs Holton and two assistants, Mrs Barrow and Mrs King. I also remember a few people in my class: Chloe K, Chelsea, and a girl named Kyla who came part way through the year. At the end of the year Mrs King left and apparently I was really upset.
First of all I was born in Peoria, IL November 11, 2004 we have 6 people in my family, my brother Michael my two sisters Erica and Rebecca and my parents Mike and Judy. I have a funny story when my brother michael was born, my dad drove down a one way street. Anyway back to my story growing up I loved baseball and any sports I could play really. I was really active as a child and would get my hands on anything I could even If that means pulling a 100 dollar bill out of my mom's purse. Growing up I didn't really like school that much I really just wanted to explore or play. But I am really glad I went to kindergarten because if I didn't I wouldn't of met a lot of my friends. But then came 1st grade I didn't really expect 1st grade to be fun but surprising it really was. 2nd and 3rd grade was probably the most fun. Because we got to do a to of parties and it was super fun. And even in 4th grade we go to do a pilgrim experience which was really fun. We got to bring our own snacks which was awesome but the only thing that was not good was for the boys we had to wear a dress up shirt which was really hot in the room. And another awesome thing we got to do in grade school was go on really cool field trips. Like tanners orchard and lincoln's old house. But from 4th grade to 5th grade was really weird because there was a bunch of people who I didn't know. And for the
