I’m just a part-time soldier who gets time in battles, Oh I can’t wait to go home and feed my cattle. I miss my home and what I eat, Once I get out of here, i’ll be farming corn & wheat. These loyalists could lie or be honest to the king, But one thing is that they won’t be on the winning string. Major Patrick Ferguson led the loyalist to this loss, We finally showed them who's boss. Ferguson mentioned us a threat, He said he would march his army over the mountains, hang our leaders, but not just yet. We didn’t like what he said, So we fought to the top of King’s mountain just to make sure he would meet up with the
In the united states, we’re asked to serve our country and defend it when needed. Then we, as civilians, expect these poor soldiers to come back and be normal as if they didn’t just witness a massacre. Violence is a killer and we’ve lost many hero’s because of it. Navy seal Chris
one hundred ponies to Big Foot if he would come to Pine Ridge and make peace there” as he was known
I first learned about Omega Psi Phi when I was a child. One of my late father’s best friends would always wear Omega apparel no matter what was going on. The Omega man’s name is Marquette Allen but I always knew him as “Tiny” and this man is far from being small. I grew up with his sons as friends on into high school where we all played football.
On 13Aug16 at 1435 hrs. I, Deputy Halbasch, was requested to Trooper Dingman with a domestic that was reported to him in the city of Akeley.
In 2014 I had just started my senior year of high school. I was eighteen with great grades and captain of the colorguard. One would think that I was responsible with everything in my life. A huge responsibility that I took on was the privilege to drive. My license was freshly laminated, and I was ready to get out and experience one of the first steps of adulthood. Soon I realized that glancing down at my phone for just a split second could have changed everything.
An anonymous soldier wrote in a journal entry that an event occurred and that it was “disastrous”, “Painful”, and “Fatal”. He stated that General Montgomery, a soldier to fight for the British army was involved, and several of soldiers were “slain”. The anonymous soldier also said, “The death of General Montgomery was universally deplored. In the public papers we have the following account of this brave officer. ‘"He was a captain of grenadiers in the 17th regiment of British troops, of which General Monckton was colonel. He served the last war in the expeditions in the West Indies and America, and returned with his regiment to England. In 1772 he quitted his regiment, though in a fair way of preferment. Whilst in America he imbibed an affection for this country - he had, while in the king's service, declared his disapprobation of the sentiments of the ministry, and viewed America as the rising seat of arts and freedom." You can tell that General montgomery is important to the unknown soldier because the unknown soldier was one of the General’s soldiers. As you can see some soldiers thought that the colonists were doing terrible things, such as fighting and killing soldiers. As for, colonists, they thought the soldiers were terrible people for killing and fighting against
As someone who was raised on stories about American revolutionaries, I have always admired the “Great American Heroes.” After all, my history classes were filled with passages about George Washington, who dared to defy the great British Empire, Susan B. Anthony, who dared to fight the patriarchy, and Martin Luther King Jr, who dared to resist segregation…
“Always had a roof above me, always paid the rent. I’d never set foot inside a tent. I can’t build a fire to save my life,” The Lemonheads begin “Outdoor Type”, a song that means so much to me. Every Monday night for six weeks a summer, we gather around the bonfire, with different Scouts each time. Starting with some fun games, we sing silly camp songs, and then we begin the part I come back for. That song represents the exact opposite of what we are at camp.
While I was stacking cards I heard a bunch of people yelling “ he’s back, Red Chief is back!” The good and the bad things are 50/50, the good thing is that the parents of the spoiled trouble-making you call of a kid is reunited with him. The bad thing is that the people who dislike him the most has to deal with his nonsense again, I ignored the message and went back to stacking my poker cards, you know, mining my own business. The next day, while I was sleeping I heard a loud and annoying noise that woke me up, so I rolled out of my comfy bed and search for the noise. I kept listening and searching everywhere, and by the time I step foot into the kitchen, there was something missing from there, if I remember correctly, there was supposed
thump Thump THUMP BOOM, “GET UP SOLDIER THIS IS A BATTLE GROUND NOT A BED Thomas blitzfield get up and shoot the dang nazis”! Major strongmen shouted at thomas who was knocked out by the motor that exploded near him. As he stumbled to his torn boots he gets knocked down again but this time by one of his squad members rien ” you should know better to stand up in a fight with a German tank”. Thomas had completely forgotten that there was a tiger tank involved,to be honest he had forgotten he was in a battle in the first place. As he slowly came to his senses (mind)and knelt on the ground instead of standing on his feet. He and 34 other soldiers were trapped against a army of 200 soldiers with much bigger fire power then them that was not including
It was a warm Summer night in July, when i finally laid my head on my pillow after a relaxing day. I had began to get used to my days being this peaceful. Usually i would be all wound up, worrying about the damage my next door neighbors son is causing. The little boy’s name is Red Chief, or should i say little monster because that’s what he acts like. As i laid in bed i thought that maybe i should mow my grass in the morning. I had just bought a new riding lawn mower, and i wanted to test it out. I would be able to do that now without Red Chief being in my way. So the next morning, i got up just as the sun rose to start my day. I continued my way to my garage where my new mower was so that i could mow the grass. As i approached the doors i

Just wanted to keep you in the loop – Vanessa sat down with me yesterday and let me know that she was not “officially giving her resignation” but that she felt that her position is too overwhelming. The multi-tasking, number of committees, ambassador and Leadership Coachella Valley coordination is too much for her. I totally get her stress – as I have stated before the Not-for-profit sector of business is TOTALLY different than the corporate world. 95% of the time we are being pulled, prodded and poked in every direction and it is very overwhelming at times and not for everyone.
Hello! My name is Philip King but I prefer to go by Alex which is my middle name. For as long as I can remember, people have described me as a "comfortable" person and "easy to talk to," especially when it came to their personal problems that they were dealing with privately or in their home life. Since junior high, I have been considered a counselor among my friends. So when I used the _careercruiser _ website in my sophomore year English class, the field of Art Therapy caught my attention.
While being on Reveliers, I have had the opportunity to strengthen my leadership qualities. I have been an officer for three years on this team, starting as an underclassmen. I have had to learn how to be a friend and a leader to the girls on the team. Even though these are just teenage girls, having to lead such a large group has taught me to be confident and sure of myself because many people are looking up to me. I hope to use my leadership abilities in my future career
