Personal Narrative: My Career As A Tennessee School Student

It all started from the end of my middle school to the beginning of high school. There I was, being a rebellious child. I would always come to school late which later then turned into a bad habit of mine. It progressed from being late to school to just not going to school at all. During those years where I was not taking my education serious and just acting out, I was struggling with how I was setting priorities for myself.

My College and Career goals include graduating college and getting a job. I wish to attend the University of Alabama. I plan to major in occupational therapy or speech therapy. After I graduate with my bachelor's degree I wish to get my master's degree. After I finish my schooling I want to receive a job that allows me to provide for my family. I wish to receive this job in my degree's field. After receiving this job I wish to improve to reach a leadership role.

I am a high school senior at Fair Park, looking forward to my first year at Jackson State University in the upcoming fall. My cumulative GPA is currently at a 3.6 average and anticipating to increase next semester. I would be considered the best person to receive a scholarship simply because I go the extra mile to assure my success. Although college is an extensive goal, it could be quite expensive. There is no better way to pay for college than by being awarded money for outstanding academic excellence.

After a grueling first quarter, I was completely miserable, with terrible grades, low self-esteem, and no end in sight. I was hanging on to the hope that there would be some epiphany moment, a moment where suddenly my writing soared, along with my grades. That change did happen, but not all at once‒ it began during the third quarter, when my teacher, Ms. Boynton, asked me to stay after class, along with five other students. She asked if we would each be interested in participating in The Atlantic and College Board Essay Contest, in which we would each submit an analysis of a famous American speech. I was truly stunned that she had chosen me over so many other students in the class, since I had felt so lost for so many weeks, but it was exactly what I needed as motivation to keep on improving my writing. As I worked closely with her on my contest submission and other class work, I came to realize how much she cared about me and wanted to help me succeed. With that being said, she never made it easy; she continually pushed me, knowing that I could always do better if I set my mind to it. Growing up with high expectations my mind has always been set on the idea of college. However when thinking of the “right” college for my future, I never knew If I would be able to fully commit and choose which one was best for me. I wanted something that would be comfortable for me that also meets my criteria that would make the college transition a bit easier. Since I’m going into something new, my decision would end up being based on the class sizes, the costs being affordable, the majors and degrees available for Nursing, and the location and how close it is to my family. It was a hard decision however one school had it all, which is why I’ve decided to further this chapter of my life at West Texas A&M University.

When I started Chaffey College I did not had a college major in mind. My educational plan was set up to take general education for the first two semesters. It took me a month to realize I wanted to be a Dental Assistant. There was a waiting list for the program, but, fortunately I could obtain all the documents need it to be qualified. Now, my education plan is set up to graduate from Chaffey College by 2018. I will end up with an Associate Degree as a Register Dental Assistant. My education plan was set up to graduate in less than 3 years with the best experience and knowledge I could get. Being in college had made me increase my education goal, not only will I get a career in the Dental field but I will continue to become a mathematics teacher

In my life, I have had to make made many difficult choices, each with their own consequences, but the most significant choice I made occurred three years ago; I decided to leave my home state of Maine, and enroll in Texas A&M University. This decision has had a major impact on my life, and continues to influence my life today for better and for worse. I've grown to be more independent, but as the same time my debt increases every semester.

In the fall of 2005, I took my first steps onto the campus of Appalachian State University with my sister who was entering as a freshman. One of my most vivid memories from my childhood is walking hand in hand with my then eighteen year old, wide eyed, and prospective sister into the Watauga dorms. Afterwards, as we left down King Street, I distinctly remember gazing back towards the magnificent North Carolina mountains and yearning to stay. Even at the age of five, I knew that one day I would follow in her footsteps and become an Appalachian Mountaineer.

I fully understand the reason for my suspension from North Central Texas College. At the time of classes, my grades were too low and did not show my strength as a student. I would like you/ the school to reconsider my enrollment for classes.

Hi, I am Anna Wysmierski, and I live in Farragut. I am originally from Elyria, Ohio, but my family moved here to Tennessee when I was eight years old. My summer was busy, but it was very fun. I spent the first half of my summer at East Tennessee State University participating in the Governor’s School for the Scientific Exploration of Tennessee Heritage and the second half going on college visits and doing summer swimming at Village Green. Regarding work, I worked a couple of lifeguard shifts at my neighborhood pool this summer. Next year, I plan on majoring in either math or actuary science at the college I end up attending. Where do I even begin? Well, first off…. THANK YOU! You have no idea the impact you have made on not only my life, but so many others. Speaking on behalf of my peers, you truly are a one-of-a-kind and remarkable professor. In my time at Eastern Kentucky University as an undergrad in the History Department, I had my fair share of good, bad and okay professors. You are in none of those categories because you created one for yourself.

I am a junior majoring in computer science. I earned my Associate of Science at El Paso Community College in Fall 2015 and my high school diploma at TMECHS in Spring 2016. This is my first year at Texas Tech University. I am required to take this course, but I’m looking forward to learning how to respond to situations that aren’t so black and

Since starting the school year in August, my main goal is to become a more educated and well-rounded individual. After almost completing two full semesters here at Sam Houston State University I feel like I have taken steps to fulfill my goal. I know if I keep giving hundred percent towards my education I can achieve any goal I set before myself.

On September 21st, a group of classmates and I joined Dmitry for a Tennessee soccer game versus Auburn. We met up at the college of business around 6:30 pm and he drove us over to the soccer stadium. Over the course of the night we talked about campus life, got concessions, and, most importantly, cheered on the Lady Vols!

Growing up I always took part in extracurricular activities to be more active and social in my life. I grew up with two brothers who had very different interests in things than me so I had to rely on friends and activities to help me from becoming couch potato.
