Being that i am getting older in age my declaration to you is that i get more freedom and to liberate. I'm writing this because i find it unfair that my brother had more freedom than me at the age of 16. I believe that with the same amount of freedom gave in to my brother and sister i will be more social and a more pleasant person to have around. I will gain more of a personality. My complaints is that my brother And sisters had the freedom to move out at seventeen into a apt near home and the right to drive and stay out as late as possible. I do understand they protested for this right but i don't feel as though i should protest for the same rights fourteen kids has had above me. Studying in a foreign country is an interesting experience of an individual lifetime. One tends to learn a number of things relating to ways of life in a foreign land. Social, political and economic values and aspects are usually different from one region to another. Therefore, through studying abroad one is able to learn different issues about another society such as gender and sexuality issues, social class and race/ethnicity issues. Having come from a developing country studying in the U.S.A has been a great experience personally. Growing up in Ghana, I had heard a lot of things about the U.S. This was a country I had always wanted to visit; my prayer was answered when I got the opportunity to travel there. I belivie that in the past and even today men are seen as the stronger sex. They are the ones who make the destions and control most things. This fact makes me want to work more harder and stronger to be able to take care of my self. I see my self as being able to be independent and deserve to be happy. And I want everyone to to feel and see themselves this way. I'm also fully aware that I'm not quite ready to be completely independent. My age has a lot to do with that. Most people wouldn't rent out an apartment at 17 years old. But as I continue to grow and change I will become more mature and capable of reaching that leaves of independence.
Im proud to have things that I have now,Without my generation there would be no freedom,without freedom our lives would be miserable and torn apart.Im glad our veterans fought for our country, they risked their lives for our country to stay in peace.If we didn't fight we would be controlled And be told what job to have ,how many kids we can have or they will tell us where we live.Veterans did anything they could to defeat our enemies,They never gave up ,they never stopped they kept on going until it was over.Im also glad that we have civil rights without civil rights people would still be held as slaves and they would still be getting beat by their owners.The biggest thing that i'm proud about is equal rights ,there should have never separated
I wanted to respond to this post due to fact that we have similar thoughts about independence. I have always been the one in my family to be strong and independent. I would never want to burden my family where they would have to do everything for me. If I can’t do normal things such as walking, talking and feeding myself life is not worth living. All of take so many things for granted. I appreciate all the wonderful privileges we have as a human being. Being able walk, talk, feed myself and breath every day is speechless.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has gained a immense popularity amongst not only the American public but Internationally as well. His chauvinist rhetoric, egotistical outlook, and how he continuously fabricates lies upon lies has truly brought him into the public eye. Hearing Trumps incredibly horrifying agenda makes me proud to admit that I am a Democrat, a solid liberal to be exact. As a solid liberal I believe in the power of the people and that means all people.Whether you are rich, poor, black, white, gay, or straight building and creating a nation that caters to people inherently means doing right by the economy and when we do well for the economy we do well for everyone.
We made it to Independance, what a journey that was! I was expecting to be relieved when we got off the ferry, but we came into complete chaos. So money people were running around yelling, animals were making so much noise, and you couldn't walk two steps without being pushed around. Joseph led the way to a store he heard about from one of our friends back home, it was called Jorgensen’s General Store. The prices were great, which was just what we needed, because after seeing everything in the store, we realized we forgot so much! We bought a Dutch oven to make cooking easier, we supplied up on axle grease, twenty gallon barrels of water, twine and some other materials, and three gallons of coal oil. Independence could loosely be defined as the state of not relying on others. It is becoming more and more prevalent in modern societies. As a teenager reaches adulthood (in most countries, at the age of 18), he or she faces more responsibilities and more decisions to make on their own. Ideally, the one approaching adulthood comes to possess, through trial and error, the ability to take care of one’s self. In my case, this progress of gaining independence started a bit earlier than usual in relation to the usual customs of my culture. My dad’s philosophy on self-reliance and “manhood” transformed me into an independent teenager which in turn led me to find a more rewarding path studying abroad in the US.
