“Wow, what a beautiful sunset.” everybody said, excited looking at the sunset while being devoured by the ocean. We were all sitting in the cold wet sand together enjoying the view as a whole family. “We made a great choice coming to the beach before the sun set” said my dad. We all agreed with him. After looking at the sunset we all went to go eat dinner at a Mexican restaurant because everybody was craving Mexican food. I ordered a burrito with steak and rice inside. My parents both ordered the same thing as always which was steak fajitas. My cousins also got a burrito, but they got pulled pork burritos. And my brother and sister got flautas which are tacos, but they come in a hard-shell tortilla. After we finished eating, we all headed to my cousin’s place to have a small party to celebrate coming to their place and seeing them again. This was the second time seeing them because the first time we saw them when they came to boulder. Later we all slept at my uncle’s place, because everybody was tired and we didn’t want to go find a hotel to stay in.
This was my second day in California. On the 24th of December, we all agreed on going to California for winter break. So, on the 25th of December in the afternoon after we opened our presents, we all started packing everything only for three days. It was about 9:00pm when we went to sleep because we all wanted my dad to rest so he could drive the whole way. At 7:00 am on December 26th we all started to put things in the car, all our luggage and backpacks, we also decided to bring our dog and some food for later if we were hungry. We headed off at 8:30 so we could get to California earlier. Right when we were on the road my brother and sister fell back asleep because they were so excited they couldn’t sleep last night so they passed out in the car. So, we started to head to Utah and we were really nervous the whole way. We didn’t stop at all because we really wanted to leave Colorado as soon as possible. After a long drive that seemed like we were driving for ages, we saw a sign and it said, “leaving colorful Colorado.” My parents were excited and they asked me if I was excited said yes with an excited tone and a big smile. We kept on going still very excited that
It was the day of April 13, 2000. I woke up at exactly 12 o’clock because my boyfriend was to pick me up at 1 like we planned the night before. The day looked quite nice, but I was in a fowl mood. I got into a car accident the night before and had a huge argument with my parents about the car. I finally dragged myself into the shower and got ready in half an hour. Then I went downstairs, sat on my couch, and repeatedly told myself the day would hopefully turn out better than last night. At around 1:15, my boyfriend came to pick me up. We took the 5 freeway to the 57 since it was the only way I knew how to get there. As we approached the 134 freeway, my girlfriend veered to the right,
Hinds Community College has undoubtedly enabled me to grow as both a student and a leader during my time enrolled. My passion has always lie in the film and media industry, which made Hind’s film program the perfect choice for me. My spring brek went wonderfull because I went to visit my cusins and the rest of my family in mexico for the first time in years since wen I was in fift grade. In mexico I played around with my cosins and family and went to the plaza of the town. The plaine ride was a little bumpy at liftoff and my parents had my earphones so I was stuck doing nothing in silence for 5 hours. After landing my legs fell assleep so I was screwed when I was geting off the plane onto the airport. When we made it to the entrance of the airport or exit we were sorounded by basically a lot of other people trying to pick up their family members . When my unckle picked us up and we made it to my granmas house, I started playing almost immediately with my cosins and had
What I am going to be writing about is my Big Sun Scholarship. While growing up my parents never had a lot of money for me to play sports. Growing up I never got to play football, I did get to play baseball and basketball because it was free. Those were the only sports that I got to play even now we don’t have much money for me to go to college so it is a pick and choose college to go to for my mom to be able to afford it. Playing football in high school influenced me to want to go to college to be involved with sports as simple as an athletic trainer or something to do with sports. While playing football influenced my parents to go to games and watch me so they can be proud of me.
My brother, my mom, his friend, and I was going to a Vacation for the weekend, driving to San Diego. We've admire and took picture of the sun setting the ocean with the rippling flow and could hear the noise of the ocean fresh breezes, when we got the hotel we was all tired, but we had to get registered a room to go to sleep in. The next day my mom , my brother, and his friend went somewhere without me, selling puppy's to two people. When I waked up and notice that they was gone, I called my mom and said," Mom where are you guys, and long has it been since you guys left," she said, " three hours, and selling the puppy's right now, but it will take a while when come back, so get ready to go get something to eat, ok," ok," I said. when I was
My first week at South Shades Crest went very well. At first, I was unsure about Kindergarten, but now I am loving it. Mrs. Chapman is a very great kindergarten teacher. She is very sweet and very helpful. Any questions or concerns that I have Mrs. Chapman is very nice to answer them for me. The students are very sweet towards me and I am having a blast so far in kindergarten. Mrs. Chapman has even given me time in the morning to work with students for my class project. This I really appreciate since I am talking away from her time.
Did you know that my grandma’s family name was originally Karlsson if you were a man and Karlsdaughter if you were a woman? When my great, great grandfather moved to America they changed it to Carlson so it would be more American. This is how they came to America.
It was time for the Festival of Light. It was a fine night in Lake Jackson. I was with my grandma and sister, Mackeinze. First I went to the Parade of Lights. It had cars, trucks, clubs, a band, and Christmas music. During the Parade of Lights I ate a double Whataburger, medium fries, and a medium drink. At the parade one of the most unexpected floats for me popped up, it was for cub scout of that area and I am in cub scout too. I also got a five dollar glowing toy that you spin it to make different colors. Last but not least I went to the Carnival of Lights. We weren’t supposed to go there because I did not want to go there at first but my sister , Mackeinze,
It was a cold Saturday morning in Tennessee. My brother and my parents and I are on a camping trip. My mom and dad, Marie Johnson and Phil Johnson, offered to take me on a camping trip for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. I could only bring one person along with me. So I decided to take my brother, Luke Johnson. Since me and my family live in Indiana, the drive to Tennessee was very long and felt like forever. The car ride there was very uncomfortable. Me and Luke had little room in the back because of all the luggage.
My first interview was of my sister Christina, who graduated from UTD 3 years ago with a degree in Computer Science. Currently she is employed as a business analysts for a city in the Dallas metroplex. One of the major things she regretted doing while taking classes was working. One of her biggest struggles was having to not only complete sometimes 18 hours a semester, but also work in another city, whose drive could very well take up an hour or more depending on traffic. Although it was difficult to make the trek, she did get a full time job afterwards from the same company, so she can see it being worth it in hindsight, but rather harsh when she was working towards graduation. One of her biggest pieces of advice for me while in my time at
In was about seven in the morning when my parents came rushing into my room to wake me up. As I tried to open my eyes, I see all the happy faces and they told me to hurry and get ready because we are going on a trip. I asked them where we were going but they kept it a secret. I jumped out of my bed and got ready as fast as I could. Rushing into the car to leave, I felt anxious for someone reason, I really wanted to know where we were going. My parents told me it’s going to be an hour drive so I took a nap in the car since I was a little tired for waking up early.
It was Monday, June 6th, 2016. The sun was shining, and it was nice weather for an adventure. This summer was the first summer that any of my friends had their licenses, so adventures were always happening. Kayla, who has been my friend since I can remember; Emily, who Kayla and I have known for around 7 years; and I were always together. Today we were on our way to Wildwood Park. Wildwood Park has trails for you to walk on, and a small bridge over a river. We call it “That one shaky bridge” because it is not very sturdy when you walk across it. Kayla was driving, Emily in the front seat, and I in the back; in her old blue car listening to music, using the GPS, on our way to our destination. We were on Highway 14 going towards Mankato. Kayla looks down at the GPS that is on her lap for a second, I start yelling “Shit, shit, shit, shit.” CRASH. Our small blue car is now in the back of a large pickup truck. After this all had happened, we ended up in the ditch on the other side of the road. I was feeling very scared. Were my parents ever going to let me leave the house again? How much trouble are we really going to get into? How will we get out of this mess? We all sat in silence for like a minute, then Kayla started to freak out a little. She started crying, thinking how disappointed her grandpa was going to be or what we was going
Right when the bell rang everyone rushed out of class, to their locker, onto the bus, and headed home to start their summer. I was going on a trip to Florida with my family and a few friends. We had planned to leave first thing when we got home, I was so excited as it was my first time going on a plane. When I arrived home, my family was already waiting for me in the car. I dropped of my school stuff, grabbed my bags, and headed into the car. My younger brother and I talked about all the fun things we would get to do this summer: go to Disney, swim at the beach, the list goes on. We talked so much we didn't even realize we had already arrived at the airport. After we went through the many long and boring lines, we were finally ready to board the plane. By the time we got on it was already 20 past 10. I got to my seat and saw my friends Brian and John were on the same plane with me. I talked with for a minute until the pilot said we are about to take off. I got to my seat and decided to to take a short rest since I was awake since 5:30 this morning. All I wish is that I got to tell my parents how much I loved them.

That night during dinner I mentioned that my 16th birthday was coming up, my parents gave a big long sigh, and they exchanged looks and said that honey for your birthday were going to be taking you and your sister to grandmas for your own good “YAY, grandmas” my little sister Laila said. It was very cryptic on how my parents had said “for your own good." I got up from my seat and walked into my room and started thinking about why my parents wanted me to go to grandmas for my birthday, but I decided not to think into it as much. I fell asleep that night. The next morning we all ate breakfast and went to the car. After one hour on the road, I realized that we passed grandma’s house half an hour ago. My parents stopped the car in front of the woods and got out all my bags and told me to keep on going until I see the school on the invitation that I got yesterday.
