My leadership has been evident in my ability to create and organize volunteer opportunities and in spearheading many local initiatives dealing with social equality. I have run a tutoring center for academically struggling middle school students, organized a winter clothing and baby item drive for domestic abuse, and created a debate club for high school and middle school students looking to improve their talents. Through all these endeavors, I had to take charge and use my leadership skills in organizing and planning events, donations, and volunteers. My ingenuity, enthusiasm, and commitment to these causes gave me the inspiration to lead these projects and to help my community. However, I do not use my leadership skills only for philanthropic
Leadership has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have always found myself taking on leadership roles, whether it be by volunteering or coordinating different projects for the benefit of my school or community. Taking on leadership positions has allowed me to develop skills in communication, delegation, and managing multiple tasks and deadlines. As a member of National Honor Society and an officer of Student Council, I am presented with various opportunities to show my leadership skills. For example, I have been in charge of planning multiple pep assemblies for my school. Helping coordinate blood and canned food drives, angel trees, as well as organize an abundance of fundraising events has created a sense of reliability
Combining certain passions with the power granted to me, I chose to make the most out of my leadership position. I organized both the Recycling Committee and the St. Baldrick's fundraiser. In the Recycling Committee, I created a script, filmed, and edited a video emphasizing the importance of recycling. That video was then circulated throughout the school and was a success-- it prompted my peers to correctly recycle materials. Similarly, I ran the social media and advertising campaigns for the St. Baldrick's Fundraiser, raising awareness for childhood cancer. I not only want to achieve leadership positions, such as my National Honors Society position, but I want to exercise them to positively influence the community around
As a supportive B.A.S.E. Leader, I participated in Frog Hollow's Halloween Carnival, B.A.S.E. kick-off - an event in which B.A.S.E. leaders lead, support, and have fun with incoming grade eights, and B.A.S.E. lunches - a weekly event for grade eights that B.A.S.E. leaders supervise, and clean up afterwards. In fact, one of my most memorable experiences include the time when a shy kid, named Spencer, was eating all alone during a B.A.S.E. lunch that I was supervising. Hence, I decided to have a welcoming conversation with him, and introduce him to some of the other grade eights in the room because from my experience in the past as a shy kid, I would've greatly appreciated it if someone had introduced, and welcomed me to other kids as well. Many people have left legacies from when they were alive. Some are good, and some are bad. Those people may not agree with what they have left behind, and some may be perfectly okay with theirs. For me, I would like to leave behind a legacy that shows my family that I was a good person. I would want them to know that I had good intentions for my life and that I wanted to do good for myself and others. In this essay, I will explain what I would like my legacy to be like.
Communication is key to the success and failure of most everything that we do, and that
This day was busy, but I was able to help out more by checking patients in and checking them out this time around. Felt a lot more comfortable with the system and interacting with the clients and their pets. This was my last day working in the front, I enjoyed working with Leonore and the rest of the staff in the front but, I am very excited to work in the back to get hands on experience working with the technician’s and the doctor’s.

I had been working for a children’s summer camp for three years, I had been supervised by the same manager for two years. On my third year working there in the summer, there was a new manager for the camp and I received a higher position, Division Leader. One of my responsibilities was dealing with children, parents and staff conflicts. During my third year, when my new manager, Jason came in, he also brought some of his old staff with him. During our training, there was one staff member that got my attention, Joseph who was a previous staff member of Jason. He was a very outspoken and enjoyed being a leader of activities. When I recieved my list of staff members, I noticed that he was on my list as a regular counselor. When I announced that he would be a regular counselor
During my Educational leadership Program I have gain so much new knowledge about school administration, laws, and situations that I have kept myself looking for additional information which helps me on a daily base in y work as an aspiring leader in my worksite. I have learn to ask the necessary questions and to make suggestions about daily challenges that could be overcome with a different approach.
The gifts, motives, role, likes and dislikes as a religious leader after serving in my supervised ministry setting are vast due to having two different settings in which I served. The first half was as a spiritual leader within a role of chaplaincy at Morristown Medical Center. The other half of the year was in my role of Local Licensed Associate Pastor which was appointed to me by the Bishop of the Greater New Jersey Conference. Each of the positions I held had both positive and negative experiences. I can honestly say I have learned something from all of them.
’m the first one to be born And it’s my responsibility To leave traces For others to follow I have to be cautious Or I might step into The wrong ground Letting the roots swallow me up There’s so much pressure in me
I play the alto saxophone in the Keller High School Band. My junior year, I applied to be a part of the leadership team for this program. I had very high hopes of getting the position of a section leader. When results came out, I had been placed on the Public Relations team instead of a section leader. Initially, I was upset by this, but then I realized that my contribution on PR still positively impacted the program. I was very successful in this role. Because of this success and my positive team attitude, the directors asked me to step up and teach alongside the section leaders. I soon realized that I was capable of being an effective leader despite the title I was given.
I see myself as a collaborative leader. Having played basketball for three years now I’ve learned to not only work as a team but I also learned how to be a leader when necessary. Freshman year for me was all about getting to know the basics of the game, a few of us were brand new to the game so that left two experienced players on the team, which resulted in no wins that year. Sophomore year the only two players that had experience got moved up which left the rest of the team with no one to depend on. That year I stepped up and became a leader to help my teammates as much as I could. One day I broke my wrist and the doctor said it would take a few weeks to heal up. As sad as I was that I wasn’t going to be able to play the first few games I
Pioneers are people who do the right things; heads are people who do things right." As you will note on my enclosed resume, I hold a B.A. degree in the area of English as well as a M.A. degree in Educational Leadership with a focus on Administration and Supervision. Although the greater portion of my experience has been in the area of classroom teaching rather than administrative duties, my formal evaluations have often noted my strengths in creative thinking, problem solving, strong long-range planning, and the ability to communicate with a diverse population. I believe these strengths in addition to my various leadership responsibilities while teaching create a body of comprehension that would be well-suited for the administrative intern position. For the past 2 years I have served as the 12th grade English lead teacher
