It was a nice sunny day on the beach in the Bahamas. There was a nice, calm breeze and there wasn’t a single cloud in the sky. In the distance there were other islands and boats, and a giant building. It looked like a picture out of a magazine. “Do you want to go parasailing?” the parents asked us. “Sure,” my sister said. “Yeah!” said my friend. “Sure that sounds cool,” said my friend’s sister. “Yes!” I said impulsively, I didn’t want to go, in fact, I was terrified, not even that, I was petrified. It was so nice outside, so of course everyone wanted to go.It was bright and sunny, and there wasn’t a single cloud in the sky. The view from the beach itself was amazing, but it would be even better high up in the air with a nice breeze in your face. …show more content…
I could see everything. I saw other islands, buildings, cities and the huge Atlantis building in the distance, it felt impossible to stop looking around. It looked like the world went on forever, and because the water was so blue it looked really nice. I didn’t notice that we were so high up in the air with our feet dangling in the wind, I was too distracted by the view. After a few minutes we started to come down. I was kind of sad because it was really fun being up there and seeing everything. But instead of the men on the back of the boat pulling us in the boat was slowing down. We landed in the water and then the boat started speeding up again and dragged us through the water. In two or three seconds we started to rise again, and we were back at the top. Our feet were soaking wet, so the breeze made us really cold. We were in the air for another minute or so and then they pulled us back to the boat. Our feet hit the metal and they started unstrapping the parachute. They pulled it off and we quickly went back to the
As any other vacation day we all went to the beach to start. Then after that my younger siblings, whom at the time were three and five, wanted to go to the pool. We all went and stayed for a little while, then my mom and I went back to the beach to spend quality time together. It was very nice getting to spend some alone time with her until……
I woke up on the shifting sand of the beach.I begin my day by gathering the firewood then I make my pallet and then I go to the fishing hole for my breakfast I was planning to eat a salmon or a langosta.I dive in with my spear and I hear Timothy's voice in my head saying "Phillip, there will be good luck for yourself today." I feel something wrap around my arm and squeezed tight. As fast as I can I swim up as soon as I get to the top I hear "I told you I was stronger than this island," It was Timothy.I was so confused and happy at the same time.I ask "I thought you died from the hurricane."Well, the man from above gave me another chance." To take care of me! We hear a sound almost like a airplane, then we both run to the signal fire to start
But at first it was hard because we couldn't go fast in the wake, so the tubes kept going under the water. My friend and I kept going over the front of the tube. So, we had to keep getting back on the tubes. We really had to keep the weight shifted towards the back of the tubes. We made it out there eventually.
If it wasn’t for the small particles of sand in between the lens of my Canon Rebel SL1 and the vivid memory of the way the ocean kissed my feet as it crawled up the hot sand, I would have had to leave behind the Texas coast for my small dorm room located in America’s heartland entirely. I didn’t though, and I find that to be one of the most beautiful things about the human experience. That we are nearly boundless when it comes to how far we can travel and what we can bring back from those places. If you asked me to open up my suitcase of memories and stories and pick out my favorite one, I’d hold out to you the time I camped overnight on the Port Aransas Beach.
When I was stepping on to the concrete of the port, I was so glad I got off that rocky ferry boat. I was getting sea sick after an hour during the ride, which was an hour and a half. I remember the being 90 degrees out and I was sweating in 2 minutes. The air was so fresh, and the view of the whole island had breathtaking views. There were mountains in the background. There was also a town that was going up on the mountains. I didn’t know what the town was named but it was small like downtown Linden.
In April of 2014 my family and I went on our annual family beach trip to Destin Florida. We usually pick a month during the spring because it is not too blistering nor too icy and the temperature of the water is exactly right. I want to say the climate remained in the low 80’s the entire time we were at the beach. This particular trip is very special to each and every one of my family members especially my dad.
Finally, there's Sam and Dean at the Beach. Five of Cassipoea7's prompts were about summer and I gave her this weird, dark AU vid, I had to. Plus, the boys deserve a happy-ish ending. I just didn't know how to do it. *sigh*
People were crowding behind us trying to get out, some shoving each other to try to get closer to survival. Because I read the directions thoroughly while we were falling, I managed to open the door. As soon as I got the door open though, freezing cold water came rushing in, hitting me like cold, hard fists. It was so shockingly cold that I kept thinking that we were either going to drown or get hypothermia. My dad grabbed me and the airline lady and pushed us out the door.
I scramble over the first wave as it hits me. 'Whoosh'! I manage to catch myself and prepare for the next wave as I look out into the deep-blue ocean. I see the next wave forming out back and I decide to take it. I position myself and wait. The salty smell of the ocean surrounding me is all I can smell as I feel the wave coming. I begin to paddle hard, planning my next moves as I catch the wave. I pop up and begin to ride the wave, hearing the crowd cheering me on. Excitement takes over me as I twist and turn along the wave. I see a barrel form and I go for it. The roaring of the wave drowns out any voices in my head as I am surrounded by the wave, inside the barrel. I attempt to shoot out of the barrel, but I get clipped by it. The heavy wave
The Golden flare from the enormous sun eliminated all traces of shadows from the prodigious beach in Miami, Florida. While on the beach with my family I observed the great, green ocean that stood before my eyes; it was profound, beautiful, yet something about it seemed mysterious. The bright sparkling of emerald green crystals stood before the ocean, while at the same time the light breeze tucked and pulled my hair. My mother handed me a white coral necklace that had attached to it an old rusted, silver symbol of Poseidon's Trident . My mother said to me in a delicate voice, “this was given to me by my mother. I want you to have it now. You never know when it will come in use”. I put the weightless, loose necklace around my smooth, neck while
She jumped and then it was just me and Zocan. I decided I didn’t want to be the last so I approached the edge. I look down and suddenly it looked a lot higher than before. I took a deep breathe and told myself I would be fine. I closed my eyes, held my nose, and jumped. It felt like I was in the air forever. It didn’t feel real I was just falling attached to nothing. Then I landed in the water and it snapped into my brain what I had just done. I looked up and Zocan jumps right away. We all sat there for a minute so happy with ourselves for what we had just
The water started to speed up and we end up running into this big branch that 's sticking out of the water. At this point, I 'm hot, irritated because this is like the fourth branch we have gotten stuck on and I 'm also scared that this boat looks as if it 's going to pop because the branch is sticking into this air blown up boat. So we 're just sitting there and my mom is like, "You guys better do something to get us moving." So that 's when I put on my bright orange life jacket and stands up. "You want
After what felt like ages, we had finally reached Maui. I opened up my window on the plane and the view was absolutely breathtaking. Beautiful green land, rolling mountains, and gorgeous blue water covered the island. As we landed and entered the
We finally made it to the rickety rocky shore where we were supposed to put the boats in and float to our inevitable death. My mom, sisters and I got assigned to a boat with another woman and her two daughters.
Once we got to the top we were dangling there, just the three of us. As I looked down all I could think about was how scared I was. I was up there for a good two minutes so sure I was about to die. Finally, the worker says “3...2...1… FLY” and that’s when Emily pulled the string and we were heading straight for the ground. As soon as we
