When i was little i would think of ways to go into the future and see my future and discover the new comming world. My name is Stephen Brown, I am a 14 year old boy, i have shiny brown eyes and bright red hair. I am a really sensitive person but happy at the same time and i also was scared of birds. One day i was walking down a yellow brick road in the city of New York it was late at night, and it was raining as hard as rocks falling from the sky, I had been walking for hours and hours so i had decided to sit down for a while , as a sat down on a brown wood shiny bench as i looked forward i saw a red light coming from a old rusty house on the other end of the street. As i walked towards that house to see what was in it, i saw a little boy who was walking …show more content…
Umm ok said Stephen. Who are you? If you really want to here about it, the first thing you'll probably want to know is where i was born and what my childhood was like, and also how my parents were occupied and all before they had me, but i don't feel like going into it, if you want to know the truth, Then ask me but i might not tell you. Im scared and my life has secrets that no body knows, and no body will ever find out. I use to live in a dark little house down the street with my parents. Oh ok, they then started heading home, they walked and walked for days, hours, minutes and seconds, and finally reached home.It was Saturday night at 2:00 when i got a call from my friend which said “Where are you , where are you, i cant find you?”. Look outside the window said David. As i slowly approached the green shine window frame next to the entrance door, i saw a green sparkling moving sky, where there were no friends , now flowers, no grounds, no nature and no life, I thought that my life was going to end on that minute as i approached the shine glass
I would first like to say nice to meet you and thank you for your service in the Air Force. In your post I noticed you mentioned that you are a duck hunter and that you also garden in you off time. I was wondering when you first took an interest in those two things and how long have you been doing it for. As an LSU Tigers fan who did you find more entertaining to watch this year the football team or the basketball team with all the hype surrounding Ben Simmons. Another question I feel the need to ask is what is your favorite Louisiana dish to eat and/or cook? It been a while since I have been to Louisiana and enjoyed the food but it always nice to hear what the locals say are best things to eat from there.
I was scrolling down my twitter feed one day and was tired of seeing the same posts over and over again so I proceeded to hit the refresh icon. After doing so my timeline was flooded with different accounts posting the same headline, “The Michael Brown Shooting in Ferguson, Missouri.” The post came out hours after the incident had happened. The post was up for around fifteen minutes but had already had hundreds of thousands of comments from people all over. Thousands of people, including myself, had retweeted the post so their followers could also see what had happened. By the end of the day, every other social media platform was talking about the incident. Not only did the people of Ferguson hear about the situation, but every city in Missouri
Johnna Brown. The lovely mother of two, and the amazing wife any man would dream of, the best pet spoiler there is, and the perfect friend. That right there can say so much about someone without even knowing who they are. Johnna, my mother, is such a talented person. Along with this, she is also a mentor and therapist. Last, she devotes her every waking seconds to the ones she loves.
One day waking up thinking this was a normal day at my birth home, Jamaica, I walked to my grandparents’ house, stayed there for a couple of hours, then I saw this pretty, shiny, new Nissan Altima pulled up, and stopped. Moments later a tall dark-skinned guy stepped out the vehicle, fixed his hat, and walked to the door. When the doors open he burst into tears and said to me, “Hey son”, at first my siblings and I was in shock because we have not seen our father since 2004, I did not know what he looked like until I saw pictures of me and him together. Later that night we party and have fun together. The next morning, he drove in and we took pictures, then, we went to dunns-river falls, also we went and eat.
Once upon a time, there was a kid named Dylan. Dylan was 13 years old and just moved from Minneapolis, Minnesota to Dallas, Texas. He moved on April 10th and started going to his new school and he didn't know anyone or had many friends. Whenever he rode his bus though he saw some suspicious stuff, he saw a bunch of smoke from the back of the bus and he was questioning what it was, he thought to himself maybe they have a smoke machine in the back and where testing it out. He honestly thought that was what it was at first and wanted to go back to the back of the bus to watch it. The next day at school he started to make some friends that played football and basketball, they taught him how this school worked and all the people
I woke up and took one bite out of my pop tart but that one bite was all I could eat. My legs were shaking, and my heart was pounding. My dad told me, “It is a true honor to even make it this far so go out there and have some fun.” Once I heard this statement, I knew I was ready to go. I arrived at school and boarded the bus. The car ride was an hour and fifteen minutes of hearing the squeaking of the wheel on the bus. My teammates were getting their heads ready for the big game.
I never thought I would be labeled an outsider, a misfit even. As I trudged my way through the halls of my small town high school, I would endure the gazing pairs of eyes, that belonged to my peers, followed by whispering and often times some laughter. I always used zone out during those repetitive speeches and commercials about the effects of gossiping and rumors; never did I imagine that one day I would be on the receiving end of of the everyday potshot. Growing up I was always the center of attention, the one everyone yearned to be friends with, never was I the antisocial child in the corner with nowhere to turn… not until high school. They say high school changes you. They say high school accounts for some of the greatest years of
It was late one day in June, and the sky was as blue and clear as sparkling wine. I sat back in my hammock reading the book Unbroken enjoying myself, and my uncle came up and asked me if I wanted to play poker with him, 5$ buy in. I jumped at the idea finished my page and went inside the house. Poker is a pretty big thing in my family and I’ve grown up playing and my uncle was one of the best, so spending time with him playing poker is always one of my favorite things to do. We proceed to set up the table, “Texas Holdem“ he says, Jacks to open”. Nothing weird, so we get the game going and the pots getting pretty big when all of the sudden he drops his cards. I stare the cards dead in the eye and see that i'm going to surpass him! He looks
Life is a process. From the day we are born to the day we pass away, we go through experiences of happiness and sadness. Every day in between, we work on ourselves to make ourselves the best versions possible. This is similar programming. When programming, we go through a series of trials to make the program the best possible version of itself. Once something new is discovered, that program continues to build. I am applying to this Stevens Program because my curiosity drives me to learn more even during the summertime. Ever since my brother, Kenny, explained to me his experiences of coding, I was inquisitive about coding since. It seemed like people created something out of nothing. They would begin with a simple, miniscule idea and turn this
It is true in life that everything happens for a reason. It is also true to say that sometimes it is all about being in the right place, at the right time. There was never a more prominent example of this than a traumatic summers evening, only a few years ago.
I’ve always been an outsider, it’s been hard for me to build friendships and relationships. Not too long ago, there I sat in the corner of the room in the way back, trying to hide from the world, and be myself. I didn’t really want to get involved with anything or anyone. I was afraid to open up, talk to others, maybe because I was afraid to get rejected. Until, I met the best people I could ever meet, my best friends Marisa Mendoza, Jessica Contreras and Deseray Reyes, the ones who up to this day have sticked by my side, at my best, and worst moments. They have all been a big part of my life, I can enjoy every minute I spend with them. For me, they aren’t only my friends they are like my sisters.
It was very late and everyone was asleep, I lay on a cot in the middle of a room surrounded by lots of other cots with many other girls like me sleeping on them. I left the room, against rules, but that was the least of my problems. Instead of seeing the old stained wooden hallway in front of me I saw grass...long tall green grass and a few trees in the distance. I looked around me and to my surprise I must have only been a few inches tall. I looked up but instead of seeing my white ceiling I saw a gray sky. I was so confused and scared, I turned around to run straight back into my room, but there was only grass and trees behind me to. The door was gone there were no walls, I was not in Miss. Bridget's Home for Girls in New Jersey. I stood still for a moment pinching my self seeing if I was dreaming, but even if it was a dream it was not working. I stared walking slowly, everything was quiet, no animals, no people for that matter, nothing except for the
It seems today that the main objective in life is to become the most successful you can be, to have the best job, to make the most money. I have grown up in a generation focused solely on self achievement, that the utmost important thing in life is self. This has created an ideology of selfishness among millennials. The underlying want for more has clouded the vision and need to help our fellow man. What good is one’s life if one does not positively affect others. What has one accomplished if, when one leaves this earth, one has not left it for the better?
It was a Thursday Night, it was a full moon that lit up the whole sky. The baseball lights were shining down from the stadium which also helped lit the whole sky. His name was Jacoby and he was the star baseball player of the team and scholarships to play anywhere he wanted, everything was going right in his life, until this night. After the game was over, his best friend, Giles, rode home with Jacoby. They were driving down the road, through the forest. The trees were very tall and very thick and green, they get a lot of rain and snow in Montana which makes everything grow. As they were driving, they saw this strange looking think on the side of the rode and as they got closer it started to stand up and was they go really close it got up and
I was born in Danville, Indiana. At that time I am currently fifteen days old when my parents decided to moved back to Texas. My childhood was usually with my dad since my mom was working everyday. I am the fourth oldest child between Steven, Kevyn, and Valerie on my dad’s family. When I was seven years old. Mom and I would run down to the nearest Chick-fil-a for our lunch. When we were about to pass. An old lady driving a big truck almost ran me over, when we were crossing the street. At that moment I just froze and started to think about a lot of things in my life due to the fear of me getting run over by the big truck. My mother quickly grabbed my hand and pulled me out. That day I
